In today's conversation, the president of Russia and the chairman of the board of Gazprom touched upon gas supply issues.

Miller reported record daily gas injection volumes in underground storage facilities

According to Alexey Miller, at the beginning of the autumn-winter period in the Russian Federation, the daily capacity of underground gas storages (underground gas storages) reaches a historic record for the gas industry. This is 843,3 million cubic meters of "blue fuel". At the same time, Russia is setting a record for the volume of natural gas injected into the underground storage facilities of European countries. According to the chairman of the board of the Russian gas giant, these volumes will amount to about 2019 billion cubic meters by the end of 11,4, which is more than two times higher than the volumes of the last year.

Miller said that the start gas supply through the Power of Siberia gas pipeline to China is scheduled for December 1.

It became known that the Mongolian authorities expressed interest in gas supplies through the pipeline from Russia. It is noted that Mongolia could receive additional volumes of gas through a branch of the Power of Siberia gas pipeline.

Vladimir Putin asked Alexei Miller, head of Gazprom’s board, about the possibility of delivering gas from the Yamal fields to China via Mongolian territory.

The press service of the head of state notes that Putin asked Miller to consider additional resources of the Irkutsk region and Krasnoyarsk Territory.

Also, Vladimir Putin and Alexey Miller discussed issues of Ukrainian gas transit. Miller reminded the head of state (although it is unlikely that Vladimir Putin forgot about this) that the transit contract with Kiev ends on December 31 this year.

Miller:

Without a doubt, the main issue is gas supply for the Ukrainian market. This is a matter of bilateral negotiations between Russia and Ukraine.

              Definitely give gas to Ukrainians.

In exchange for decent money - no doubt. It is possible even in the form of a commodity loan, but at a fixed price set in advance and with an appendage from a number of political, or even military-political decisions.

As far as I remember, according to the plan, the connection of the SP-2 to the network in Germany is the 21 year. That is, there is no sense in a hurry - all the same, the Germans have not built a plot on German soil yet, where can I download it?

What for? In 2020, only Serbia remains in the Ukrainian countries (contract until 2022). With Moldova ends, with Bulgaria, too, Hungary hangs on annual contracts. Slovakia, Italy, France are connected to OPAL (via Vienna). The surplus of the Russian budget is now $ 23 billion; one can tolerate export restrictions for a year.

        Answer for gorenina91 (Irina)
        Dear Irina!
The price at which China will buy gas going through the Power of Siberia will be about 450-500 dollars per 1000 cubic meters. This is estimated for 2018 - 2019. Gas in the Far East is always more expensive than in Europe.
In general, the Power of Siberia project is very profitable for Russia. The payback period of the entire project is only 4,5 years. The project includes not only the gas pipeline, but also the entire piping of the Kovykta and Chayandinskoye fields and the Amur GPP. China invested in this project 50% of its total cost.
In addition to income from the sale of gas, there will also be income from the sale of helium (almost 30% of the total consumed in the world) and production of about 2 million tons of polyethylene per year.
Many regions of Russia are also gasified on this project.
I do not know about this from the Internet.

Where do you get these prices? In 2014, during negotiations, the price revolved around $ 350-380. Oil prices then fell, therefore, the price of gas should be adjusted. Turkmenistan supplies 327 to China to Beijing. From Myanmar - 400, LNG from Qatar - 367. Why will the price be 450-500? Presumably, it will be to the border with China - 270, to Beijing - 310.

        You write nonsense, dear dgonni.
Ukraine has always bought ONLY Russian gas. There was no gas reverse from the EU to Ukraine, and will not be - it is technically impossible.
From what is uploaded to the repository, you can extract only a part.
LNG supplies to Ukraine cannot be in principle - gas carriers do not go to the Black Sea. Deliveries of American LNG to Europe are also impossible - the United States purchases 80-100 billion cubic meters of gas per year. And this import will only grow. The USA is sorely lacking both its own gas production (which is falling) and gas from Canada. US buys gas from Russia.
Ukraine has signed a letter of intent with Poland and the United States for the supply of gas. The United States will supply Russian LNG from Yamal to Poland. There he will liquefy and can go to western Ukraine in the amount of up to 6 billion cubic meters per year. If .... Ukraine will build more than 100 km. gas pipeline. And this requires money, which Ukraine does not have. Estimated price for such gas will be $ 660. Those. 400 dollars per 1000 cubic meters EXPENSIVE than when buying from Russia.

Technically, gas is not bought from Gazprom, but from Europe! The fact that the price is less than under the contract is currently purely exchange. Spot market so to speak. The monopoly of Russian Gazprom goes into oblivion. It was necessary to prepare for this 9-7 years ago and not to talk about the soap bubble of slate!
What about the states? Even so, yes, they acquired the volumes of gas you indicated ten years ago. At the moment, they are preparing an expansion to Europe. And this is clearly not gas from Yamal! To clear your conscience, hammer in the google translator cng the east coast of the usa plants.
And Ukraine has concluded an agreement on the intention for the gas lard with a prospect of up to six at a normal price. Which is again minus for Gazprom. Well, and so suddenly! The price of gas on the stock exchange in the Netherlands is 120 killed raccoons per thousand in Austria 144! Even with transportation, Ukraine at its border receives it at a price below 200! Pure economy!

To date, Ukraine has not purchased a single cubic meter of gas not from Russia.
There is currently no technical opportunity to pump gas to Ukraine from the western side.
Gazprom supplies Europe with about 200 billion cubic meters a year, with EU gas requirements of 450 billion. This is not a complete monopoly, but almost. Especially given that production in Norway is plummeting.
The share of gas supplies to the European market will grow in the coming decades.
The price on the exchange in Austria may be 144 euros per 1000 cubic meters, but this is only in the summer and in the winter it will be more than 500. The average annual price of gas on the exchanges of the EU countries is significantly higher than the price at which Germany buys gas from Russia.
There is no expansion on gas from the USA, and never will be. USA net importer of gas. So it was, is and will be. The explored recoverable gas reserves in the USA are sharply reduced - in 2018 they decreased by 17%.
Shale gas is just a soap bubble. The production of shale gas in the USA to the maximum was 150 billion cubic meters per year, and now half of it remains. By the way, the cost of shale gas production has never dropped below $ 130 per 1000 cubic meters. All shale gas production in the USA has always been unprofitable. You are not surprised that shale gas is not produced outside the United States in any country.

Not only Ukraine has the technical ability to pump, but even to Russia from Eurlpa, the gas pipeline can operate in reverse mode, in 2009 it worked, gas was pumped from storage facilities

Given the general situation, we can say that Russia has already lost the market of 10 lard annual cubes.

I will try to explain "on the fingers". Available in Russia, 1 cbm. gas, it was sold to Europe for 1 rub. Russia received this ruble. Further, the outskirts buy 1 cubic meter. gas in Europe for 1 rub. 20 kopecks Hence - 1 rub. already in Russia, and 20 kopecks is the margin of Europe. What Russia has lost is not clear to me. And what the outskirts have lost can be seen with the naked eye.

        Ukraine buys in Europe! Gee!
She pays Slovakia, but takes gas from a pipe on her territory. Reverse gas does not reach Slovakia.
        Why pay Slovakia, not Russia?
Russia pays for transit to Slovakia, but gas does not reach Slovakia, and Ukrtransgaz has unspent, paid for by Russia, technical gas. FREEBIE! 5-10% of the reverse. It is sold both inside and the Poles. And the money is in your pocket.
The transit ends, the freebie ends, the reverse ends, because SP-1 + OPAL is not able to pump the volume of gas needed by Ukraine to Slovakia.

Gazprom has such a move, there is always gas. But, if gas is not supplied to the PIPE for a certain time, then they will lose money. Now the GP is thinking about delivering gas to Europe.

Do you even know how to count? Russians 145 million. If exported 26 million per each, it means that gas was sold for almost 4 quadrillion rubles. Russia's entire GDP of only 100 trillion for gas only exceeded it by more than 35 times. Or gas exported for 58 trillion dollars, which is almost 3 US GDP.

          Do you know how?
Even if you take all the production for 2018:
          gas - 733 billion m3
oil and cond. - 556 million tons
population of the Russian Federation - 145 million

If you carry out the calculations, it will turn out for 1 person:
          5055 m3 gas
3.8 tons of oil and condensate
only, not 26 million m3 of exported gas.
          And you can make a check 26e06 x 145e06 = 3770e12.

Well, at prices for 1 person per month:
          for gas, at a price of $ 250 - $ 105
