US Air Force B-52 Strategic Bomber Moved to Europe
16
The United States deployed the Boeing B-52 strategic bomber to Europe. As stated in the command of the US armed forces in Europe and Africa, the American strategist will take part in NATO exercises.
A plane from the 307th US Air Force Bomber Wing flew from Barksdale Louisiana Air Force Base to the British Fairford Air Force Base, which is the forefront for US strategic bombers in Europe. According to published data, B-52 will take part in several exercises held in Europe at once: Ample Strike 19, Cobra Warrior and the NATO Days air show.
There are currently two strategic stealth bomber B-2 Spirit at the Fairford airbase, deployed to Europe for integration into a potential theater of military operations and flight training.
It should be noted that the United States periodically sends its strategic bombers to Europe to participate in various NATO exercises, as well as individual training at a potential theater of war in the event of a military conflict. The largest number of B-52N bombers in the last 15 years was deployed to Europe in March this year, when 8 American strategists landed at the Fanford base with a difference of several days.
The redeployment of strategic bombers of the US Air Force is carried out without comment from the US command, but the appearance of the B-52H Stratofortress at the western borders of Russia can speak of the real goals of the transfer. Then, with enviable regularity at the borders of the westernmost enclave of Russia, almost all strategists deployed to the UK alternately noted. At the same time, as noted in the Ministry of Defense, B-52 did not approach the Russian borders closer than 150 km.
