"Opposition" appeared in G7: Johnson and Merkel against the return of Russia
The "prematureness" of Russia’s return to the Big Seven (Eight) was announced by British Prime Minister Boris Johnson and German Chancellor Angela Merkel. Johnson and Merkel during a joint press conference said that "the reasons for the exclusion of Russia have not yet been eliminated," and added that at the moment they are opposed to the Russian return. At the same time, Boris Johnson announced that Russia "has not yet fully responded to the Salisbury incident."
This statement was cheerfully picked up in Ukraine. The “opposition” moods of the heads of government of Germany and Great Britain fell to the liking of the Ukrainian authorities, the media and radicals.
After some time, Vladimir Zelensky also put his word in:
The man who, just yesterday, rode around the stage with numbers from the Erdogan - a Mustachioed Cockroach series, and about which they say in Ukraine that he has little to decide, suddenly decided that he has the right to point to the Russian agenda in high diplomacy. It will be interesting to observe Ukrainian rhetoric if Russia really returns to G8 (if it is necessary to return Russia at all).
Meanwhile, in the press of the countries of G7 itself, they are already accusing Vladimir Putin of “splitting the seven”. It is noted that there is no longer unity in the Big Seven even on such a question as to which agenda to discuss and whether to return the Russian Federation to the composition.
