Indian Navy will receive coastal systems with BrahMos missiles
As explained in the Defense Acquisition Council of the Indian Ministry of Defense, for the Indian fleet Two mobile coastal rocket batteries will be acquired. According to available information, they will be deployed in the Mumbai area. The contract price is 1350 crore rupees (about 189 million dollars), the complexes must be delivered within two years.

Each battery includes two self-propelled launchers with three BrahMos missiles on each machine, a mobile command post and two mobile radar systems equipped with Scanter radars from Danish company Terma. In addition, each battery will include a mobile radar for detecting air targets and two vehicles with MANPADS calculations.
The Ministry of Defense of India emphasized that the purchase of BrahMos systems in ground-based performance is carried out for the first time in the interests of the country's Navy. Prior to this, they were supplied only to the Ground Forces. Currently, the Indian Army is armed with three missile regiments of five batteries each.
