A pair of Tu-160 strategists flew to Chukotka as part of the exercises
As part of the flight technical exercises of long-range aircraft conducted under the personal leadership of the commander of the DA VKS of the Russian Federation, Lieutenant General Sergei Kobylash, a pair of strategic missile carriers Tu-160, making a long flight, landed at the Anadyr airport in Chukotka.

At the same time, it is specified that Russian strategists spent more than eight hours in the air, breaking over 6 thousand kilometers during this time. The flight took place without refueling.
In total, the exercises, which will last until the end of the week, involve about 10 long-range aircraft, including the Tu-160, Tu-95MS, Il-78. The main task is to develop relocation to operational airfields and to refuel in the air.
It should be noted that the first landing at the Anadyr airfield on the Chukchi Peninsula, the Russian strategic missile carriers Tu-160 made exactly a year ago, in August 2018, as part of a similar tactical flight exercise conducted under the leadership of the Long-Range Aviation Commander of the Russian Aerospace Forces. Anadyr airfield was modernized to receive heavy aircraft.
