76 years ago, in April 1943, Stalin created the State Counterintelligence Directorate SMERSH, an abbreviation of which was derived from the slogan Death to the Spies. On the account of the military counterintelligence "SMERSH" hundreds of successful operations in their own rear and rear areas of the enemy, thousands of defused spies, saboteurs, agents of enemy intelligence, brilliant radio games and ingenious disinformation of the enemy.
