July 28 - Day of the Navy of Russia
On the last Sunday of July, Russia celebrates Naval Day fleet. This is a professional holiday for all military personnel and veterans of surface and submarine forces, coastal forces, maritime aviation and numerous fleet services.

Now the Russian Navy is a key component of national security and is designed to solve a wide range of tasks. He is responsible for protecting maritime frontiers, participating in strategic containment of a potential enemy and representing the country's interests in remote areas of the oceans.
Ships, submarines and ships serve on the numerous bases of four fleets and one fleet in all potentially dangerous areas. They can operate in all coastal seas and make long trips. Provides a solution to all tasks for the protection of designated objects and strikes against specified targets.
The Russian Navy is undergoing systematic modernization, during which it receives new combat units of all the required classes. Modern samples of equipment and weapons are coastal troops. Having armored vehicles, rocket complexes, artillery and other means, they are ready to meet the enemy on the sea and on land - without leaving him a chance of success.
Naval Aviation of the Navy receives new samples of aviation technology and carries out modernization of existing ones. With their help, she is able to work near the coast and at a great distance from the bases, performing a search or destruction of certain objects of the enemy.
A decisive contribution to the country's defense is made by the personnel of the Navy. Crews of ships, airplanes, land vehicles, etc., fighters of land units and formations are busy training and acquire the necessary skills. They master new models of the material part and methods of warfare.
It is thanks to the personnel and his responsible attitude to the service that the Russian Navy, having gone through difficult times, regains its power. Our fleet is already a formidable force capable of stopping any enemy, and its further development will lead to new achievements.
