Destroy the “Namer” hand grenade

179
I dedicate this article to our dear and attentive readers from the military intelligence of Tsahal. Today is definitely their day. I hope that they will like this article. For the sake of their pleasure, this time I did not break up the article into parts with a continuation.

One of the entrances to the Cu Chi tunnels: a small and inconspicuous pit with a manhole, going underground. Good position for the shooter, grenade thrower or observer.

The topic about the uselessness of heavy armored personnel carriers caused so many responses (a record among my publications) that I decided to continue this topic, with a shift to more specific realities. Quite often it was said that TBTR, such as “Timer,” are effective in combat conditions in dense urban areas and therefore Israelis are suitable. In my opinion, this is absolutely not the case, and all the successes of the Tsakhal in operations in the Gaza Strip are almost exclusively associated with the incredible tactical weakness of their opponents - the Hamas militants. They did not bother to study the experience of previous wars in order to work out effective tactics for their very limited means. In fact, the Palestinians did not learn to fight, which is very strange in the light of their situation.

Therefore, I propose to conduct a kind of tactical game for Hamas. TVD is the same Gaza Strip. A set of weapons - the same as theirs. The goals of the game are to kick the Israelis in the ass, that is, to cause them significant losses in manpower and equipment, since the Palestinians can hardly count on a complete military victory, while it is quite possible to achieve some cooling in the fervor of the Israelis. The difference is that the game is based on the extensive experience of wars, on the basis of which specific tactics are developed.

This game will show that heavy armored personnel carriers are not worth anything against a tactically savvy enemy, and at the same time they will show why you need a thorough study of military experience, which some hotheads declare as "preparation for the last war."

Sharpened shovel

"Tsahal" has an overwhelming superiority in technology, ground and aviationwhile the Palestinians have neither tanks, no aviation, and is not expected. What can be set against this power? In the fight against a technically superior opponent, ... correctly, a shovel is used. As comrade Ho Chi Minh taught, the defenders must rely on a system of earthen fortifications: trenches, trenches, underground passages.

If there were truly evil and determined people, such as the Viet Cong partisans, who were distinguished by a particularly burning desire to make the life of the invaders interesting and short, instead of good Arabs - Hamasits, they would have dug the whole Gaza down and down. Trenches and slots, plain and covered with concrete slabs, are absolutely necessary for both combat operations and for sheltering civilians from air strikes and shelling. The Viet Cong would, in addition to the trenches, have dug out a second Gaza under Gaza, only an underground one with all the necessary accessories. The Cu Chi fortification area in Saigon occupied an area around 720 square. km, while the Gaza Strip is smaller - 365 square. km

The system of underground tunnels gives advantages to the defenders. First, the shelter from airstrikes. Secondly, the ability to set up a large number of covered and disguised firing points. Thirdly, the ability to quickly and safely maneuver forces and their concentration on threatened areas; as well as the possibility of rapid dispersal and retreat after the battle.

Therefore, without building a system of trenches and underground tunnels, one cannot count on any result in a clash with the Israelis. In built-up areas, especially on their outskirts (part of the territory of the Gaza Strip is used for agriculture), this system should be particularly dense, since the main battles are fought right here. "Tsahal" can not move the fighting inside the building, if not mastered the outskirts of built-up areas.

Destroy Namer with a hand grenade

Outskirts building in Gaza. And so difficult object to attack. Now imagine that under this dense building a network of underground tunnels has been dug, as in Ku Chi.

Tunnels can be laid in a pick-and-hook method, the benefit of the population of the Gaza Strip allows it. But this requires specialists who possess at least the basics of surveying. The excavated land can be used to fill a system of shafts along the border with Israel, to make it more difficult for armored vehicles to maneuver off-road. A sufficiently high, well-rammed and scarped shaft is a serious obstacle for tanks and armored vehicles. In the shafts can also be arranged moves, firing points and observation points - the front line of defense. In shafts, the narrowness can be traps, land mines or ambushes, if conditions allow.

Driving down the escarpment is not difficult. Now try to get back.

A sharply-honed shovel gives Palestinians another advantage. Israeli vehicles all, as on the selection, heavy, 60-70 tons of weight. For them, you can dig up the following trap. Under the road, on the most probable routes of the Israelis, a passage is dug under the ground, at the end of which an underground chamber approximately 1,5 meters wide, about 10 meters long and about 1,5 meters high, is excavated under the road, so that its arch is in meter or just over the surface of the road. If a tank, an armored vehicle or a bulldozer drives a caterpillar into this trap, then due to the large weight of the vehicle, it will fall into it. The failed caterpillar will lose its support and the technique will sit on the belly. To pull it out, you need a tractor.

Photo to illustrate the idea. Under the road formed a scour, which fell into a heavy truck. The Israeli armored vehicles, tanks, armored personnel carriers and armored rifles are about twice as heavy as the truck in the photo.

A tank in such a trap is much easier to finish off.

As the Israelis pull the car out of the hole, their movement will slow down or even stop, and it will be possible to fire at the soldiers who have fallen into the trap of the armored vehicle scurrying around. Traps can be built in advance, and in peacetime, be reinforced with braces that are removed during the threatened period.

Add more explosives

The experience of a number of wars convincingly testifies that even the most protected armored vehicles cannot resist the landmine of sufficient power. The charge in about 150-180 kg of TNT causes heavy damage to the tank, requiring factory repair. The charge in 900-1000 kg destroys any tank, so that the tower flies away. For powerful land mines it is better to use ammonium nitrate, pure or mixed with diesel fuel (igdanite), the TNT equivalent of which is 1,3-1,6. In charging chambers, saltpeter explodes better than just in a pile. In addition, it is easier to get it than trotyl or other military explosives, which is very important in the conditions of limited capabilities of the Palestinians.

Since the Israelis, for obvious reasons, are primarily trying to seize roads and intersections, you can mine the most important roads and intersections (more precisely, interchanges, in the Gaza Strip many difficult intersections with three or more roads) with powerful land mines. The method is the same: a tunnel under the road and the device beneath it of a charging chamber packed with explosives. The camera is smaller in volume than the trap, because it can be arranged closer to the surface of the roadway and reinforced its arch with a strut. The camera can be equipped in advance or during the threatened period.

As soon as the enemy vehicles assembled at the mined intersection, a charge is detonated from the observation point. In addition to damaged equipment, killed and shell-shocked soldiers, the explosion forms a rather large funnel, which the Israelis will have to either go around or fall asleep, which takes time.

Since Tsahal has georadars, it is advisable to lay on shovels and dig up also false blasting chambers. It is very difficult to quickly determine which of them is charged and which is not; searches will take time and cause a slowdown in their overall progress. False cameras can then be equipped.

Volley on the sides

Bomb traps and traps can bring the Israelis tangible trouble, but still can not solve the entire tactical problem. To arrange only on the main roads and intersections landmines, will require several hundred tons of ammonium nitrate. Get so much very difficult. In addition, it is not always possible to use them effectively, for the reason that Israeli armored vehicles are actively maneuvering. If you managed to get Israeli tankers to fly in the explosion of a powerful landmine - well, but you need something else.

Relying on an RPG, for all its familiarity, does not always produce a good result either. Due to the fact that when a grenade launcher is fired from behind, a cloud of hot gases is formed, the choice of positions for anti-tankists is already limited by this. Their positions should also be subtle, protected with something and provide a possibility of withdrawal after the shot, for the Israelis will try to respond. For these reasons, there are very few places suitable for any effective RPG shooting.

To this it is worth adding that the built-up areas of the Gaza Strip, especially along the roads, is a maze of houses, courtyards, narrow side streets, and finding a position in them where the X-NUMX anti-tank player with RPG-7 would be rather difficult . Along the streets there may be extended areas in which the use of RPG-30 is excluded, and these areas are practically safe for passing Israeli armored vehicles.

Meanwhile, the streets - the very place for the destruction of tanks and heavy armored personnel carriers. The width of even the main roads in the building of Gaza does not exceed 20 meters, the equipment is severely limited in maneuver, close to homes, and indeed the whole army is pulled into a long column, vulnerable to firing into the board, which is weaker on the Merkava and Nomerah frontal projection. In such a narrow space, the system of protecting tanks from grenades does not actually work; radar do not have time to capture the target. In general, the task. Streets - the best place in Gaza for attacking armored vehicles, but RPGs can not be used there or it is very difficult.

"Merkava" in urban combat. Notice how close the tank is to homes. The grenade launcher could hit her almost point-blank, but in this photo you can clearly see that there are no positions for the grenade launchers in this place either.

In order to hit tanks and armored personnel carriers in the narrow streets of Gaza, it is possible to propose the use of a disposable trigger device. This is an iron pipe of suitable diameter, one end of which is welded. The pipe for the most part of the length is poured into a sufficiently massive reinforced concrete block to make something like a gun. Inside, an expelling charge of gunpowder or ammonium nitrate is laid (to ignite it, a side tube is protruded to the breech of the pipe, protruding from the unit through which the electric fuse is pushed), and a grenade from the RPG without a jet engine is laid in front of it. Then a hole is made in the wall of the house along the diameter of the pipe; the pipe in it is installed in such a way that its edge does not protrude outside. Outside, the hole can be masked by gluing it with a poster or a piece of paper painted the color of the wall.

Since the dimensions of the onboard projection of the Merkava and Namera are well known, these launchers are set at such a height that a shot from them could hit certain parts of the machine. 175 cm from the road - the defeat of the gap between the hull and the tower, 150 cm - the defeat of the treadmills, for example, a weakly protected exhaust port on the starboard, 80-120 cm - the defeat of the drive wheel, the sloth, tracks. It is advisable to put such launchers in groups, 5-8 units, placing them at different heights or with a slight convergence, in order to hit a certain part of the tank with a volley. The distance shot 5-10 meters, the slip is almost eliminated. The operator is located at the observation point, from where the road is clearly visible. He has a sight, marking the zone of destruction. As soon as the tank caught up with the reticle, the operator presses a button, and the tank gets a simultaneous salvo at the board with several anti-tank grenades.

Unrolled by a cumulative grenade board "Merkavy". Imagine the damage from the simultaneous hit of 5-8 cumulative grenades

The idea of a starting device is not new, and is taken from the Nazi arsenal. Its prototype is the German bomber Raketenwerfer 61, mounted on the chassis of the "Tiger". I only adapted it slightly to the military-industrial capabilities of the Palestinians.

A good idea? Not bad But it can be modified and Israeli armored vehicles with something heavier. For example, an 120-mm mortar mine weighing 16,2 kg with a charge 3,9 kg of TNT. It is charged in a starting device of the same design, only with an increased expelling charge. Simultaneous hitting the board of the Merkava 5-8 with such mines will cause heavy damage to the tank, at least deprive it of its progress. It will take a long time to fit a tractor to a damaged tank and take it in tow.

In such a starting "guns" you can charge everything that comes to hand: cumulative grenades, mortar shells, artillery shells, missiles. Even a steel shot can be dangerous for armored vehicles. Nevertheless, the expelling charge gives the projectile a very decent speed, and it’s not far to fly.

On the scale of the whole mess such launchers can be used, as far as imagination is enough, available resources and hatred for unwelcome aliens. Entire streets along the entire length can be filled with starting slots, on both sides. Starting nests can be placed in the corner houses at intersections, and arrange for the Israelis gathered in this place, an impressive round-up fire. If the pavement or its absence allows, a battery of such launchers can be installed in small wells drilled on the road, so that they shoot vertically from the bottom up into the bottom of the tank. It is unlikely that the Merkava designers counted on a simultaneous salvo of 5-10 cumulative grenades at the bottom of the tank from a clearance distance.

Throw grenades and napalm

Now the most interesting thing is the destruction of the TBTR “Namer” with a hand grenade. This opportunity derives from the Israeli tactics reflected in the design of the armored vehicle.

The idea of maximally protecting the landing force from enemy fire led not only to the creation of a heavy machine, but also to the fact that the designers had to confine themselves to only one stern hatch for the landing force. In many photographs, it is clearly visible: a massive steel plate, flip down, and the opening of the hatch. From this it follows that the landing requires some time to get out of the car, turn around in a chain or column and get ready for battle. In my estimation - a minute or a half. If you land under fire, then they can riddle them for this minute. For this reason, “Namer” should land in the safe zone, where there is no shelling.

This is an Israeli armored personnel carrier "Eitan", but with the same features of the aft hatch as the Armored Personnel vehicle. The photo clearly shows that the landing cannot leave to fight when leaving the car: you need to bend down, cross the threshold, take two steps along the ramp and then run a few more steps along the ground to make room for others. The corridor severely restricts the outlook to the landing party at the exit, while on the side it can be waited by enemy arrows and grenadiers.

Second moment. Since the Israeli infantry doesn’t like to run under fire at all, the landing site must be in the depth of the enemy’s formation, not far from the intended target for an infantry attack, a building or an important position that is of key importance for the entire tactical operation. From this it follows that "Namer", by virtue of the tactics for which it was created, landed infantry in an area where there could be arrows or anti-tankists of the enemy around them, and they had the opportunity to fire "Namer" into the stern.

Feed is the most vulnerable projection of “Namera”. The plate covering the landing hatch is quite large and thick. Judging by the photos, about 10 cm thick. Such an RPG armor player breaks confidently from any distance. KAZ can not hang it. The corridor with the hatch in the stern of the “Namara” is clearly visible from afar, and helps the anti-tank player take aim.

In this photo, you can approximately estimate the size of the security door, using the soldier as a scale ruler. Enemy grenadiers can run up close to the board and throw grenades hiding behind the armored personnel carrier itself. To get them in this "dead zone" armament of the machine itself is impossible.

Further - more curious. If the “Timer” began to disembark the landing party and opened the aft hatch, and an RPG with an RPG sits behind it, then the situation becomes interesting. Aiming, exciting moment, shot ... A grenade flies inside the Namera and explodes there. The result is clear: the death of all the troops and the crew, the destruction of the car.

In the landing zone, there may also be battle groups armed with machine guns and a large number of hand grenades. Their task is to wait until the “Namer” opens the hatch and begins to disembark the assault forces, and then attack the paratroopers with a dense assault rifle and volley-throwing hand grenades. When the released paratroopers are beaten, the grenadiers throw closer to the armored car and throw grenades inside. The weight of the hatch, if it is made of steel plate, is about a ton. It must be opened and closed hydraulically, so you cannot close it quickly. A quick attack can achieve phenomenal success and destroy “Inmera” with hand grenades alone. In order to “Namer” finally become scrap metal, it is advisable to throw a few incendiary bottles inside after defeat.

Speaking of incendiary bottles. With their help, the Israeli infantry can be given a particularly warm welcome. In the Soviet arsenal of the war there were explosive incendiary barriers. It was a pit, at the bottom of which lay an explosive charge of explosives, and on top lay several dozen or hundreds (the pit could be a rather long trench) of incendiary bottles. The pit was covered with earth to disguise. The explosion led to the release of a large cloud of burning napalm drenching tanks and trucks passing by. In the disembarking zone, three or four such pits can be arranged, aimed at the place where the armored personnel carrier is likely to stop. Next you just need to wait until the landing leaves, and press the button. The rest will finish the group of grenadiers.

How to find the place where the “Namer” will land the landing? This is relatively simple. There are not so many such places in the dense development of Gaza, and they can be found at the planning stage of a defensive operation. In addition, the “Timer” can be driven to the place where he was prepared for the meeting. For this, a place is left that is deliberately not fired (there are only observers and battle groups), and all other places advantageous for dismounting are fired. Having rotated under fire, “Timer” will sooner or later arrive at the place of the last stop prepared for him.

As you can see, the application of the experience of past wars, combined with some ingenuity, allows us to develop a much more effective tactic of fighting against the enemy with overwhelming superiority in technology and to arrange an epic battle with significant losses and bonfires from armored vehicles.

      Not very high quality.

      - With the "diggers" they have already had to learn to fight
      - "Big" land mines are a very complicated thing. Moreover, they need to be arranged long before the hostilities.
      - The Soviet RPG-7 cannot provide the option "a lot of RPGs in the side / stern" from the premises. Here are cumulative grenades from above, yes. But here you still need to get in in conditions when the enemy is mutually covering and leaning out of the window will surely shoot
      - "Fire bag" with the ramp open for disembarkation - the problem is known, the actions of the crews to prevent this are being trained. By the way, the Germans were the first to turn their attention to the problem, and both "Marder" and "Puma" have the means to defend themselves.
      - Measures to protect BT equipment from Molotov cocktails have been carried out for a long time. And the Israelis have clearly worked out this question.

            Georadars, electricity, magnetic, seismic ...

Georadar - it can provide information online (that is, it can be mounted directly on the equipment and, theoretically, it can provide information right in the direction of travel), but it has many limitations of its effective use (there are many combinations of soil / object that georadar simply will not allow to distinguish, in addition, the resolution of the method drops greatly with depth) and examines only a narrow strip on the road, not allowing to understand what lies along its sides. Under these conditions, a land mine can be "isolated" in a certain way from detection by a ground penetrating radar or simply laid a little to the side of the road axis.
Electra and seismic - in the overwhelming majority of cases (for 100% of normally interpreted methods) require the separation of the source (and sometimes the sources among themselves) and the receiver at a significant distance (the depth of research depends on this), and therefore, during the movement of the TBTR or the tank, they are implemented " online "cannot be. In addition, although they have a greater depth, they do not differ in resolution in the near-surface layers.
Gravity and magnetic exploration - it is easier to turn to shamans to search for near-surface communications laughing

In addition, all these methods, except for the structure of the soil massif, also have a banal relief: a landmine installed with an elevation above the road cannot be detected (say, in a roadside dump, in a concrete parapet, etc.).

Thus, if you know what kind of exploratory geophysical methods the enemy is using, it is quite possible to avoid the detection of an established landmine or even a tunnel.

If you read the descriptions of the battles in Syria, Iraq; then you can often find phrases: the militants created an extensive network of underground passages, shelters, mine traps ... It can be assumed that they complicated the life of the attacking side, but they could not stop the enemy! Such "earthwork" work requires time and people ... it is often impossible to hide from the local population. In addition, one must take into account that Arabs are Arabs .... an "informant" from Arabs for 30 pieces of silver (or how many shekels are there?) Jews are always will be able to find!

It's not about whiteness and rottenness, but in the level of development. Initially, the war core of the igil came from the Iraqi army. One of the best in the BV, but 20-30 years behind white people. Accordingly, they coped well with the Arab structures through training and motivation, and there was simply nothing to counter the massive airstrikes and high-tech intelligence tools. The Iraqi army did not have drones with OLS and SVP24 thermal imagers, and there were no instructors capable of training to deal with all this.

    1) Instead of perversions with concrete blocks with pipes, you can put ordinary anti-tank mines with an impact core.
    2) Something few events came up with: moves, land mines, ambushes and all.
    3) And now the most important thing: imagine that the Jews in response will abandon their armored infantry masturbation, deploy artillery and bahut, as it should be according to the regulations of the USSR Armed Forces. Or "Snake Gorynych" will start running along the streets. This is not their city, not their inhabitants. The Arabs understand this and simply pretend to be fighting, they are actually hostages there and, if something happens, it will end very quickly. They were even fenced off with a wall so that they could not escape quickly. There is no Vietcong behind them.

The IDF conducts anti-partisan operations against Hamas, so the Israeli armored vehicles are so peculiar.

Everything would be fine with the author's suggestions, but the "Merkavas" enter the Arab buildings only after they have been cleared by the Tsakhalov infantrymen, so the Hamas grenade launchers are canceled. "Intent" does not enter Arab buildings at all.

Mine bombs weighing several hundred kilograms are unreal for Hamas due to the lack of a resource base. Outdoor trap pits are possible, but they are opened at times by manual ground-penetrating radar, which the IDF has enough.

Only anti-border mines in the form of grenade launchers walled in the walls remain, but manual georadars are also effective against them.

So, nothing better than a destructive cumulative rocket-propelled grenade with sensors of reflected laser radiation and target designation from the UAV board will not suit Hamas. Firing from hand grenade launchers from the edges of rooftops can be carried out at an angle of 45 degrees or more for a distance of over 1 km, with the Trophy SAZ hitting the dead zone. It is advisable to organize the assembly of such grenades in Iran with subsequent delivery to Gaza through Iraq, Syria and the Mediterranean Sea.

Various grenade launchers and cumulative grenades - darkness, it remains only to upgrade the grenades to them. And the Merlin 80-mm anti-tank mine is controlled by the same British model 1989 of the year.

Sitting on the roofs with grenade launchers is not necessary - it is enough to attach rocket-propelled grenade launchers to the vertical walls of the upper floors of the houses and link them with wired lines to a remote control unit equipped with a radio channel to control the UAV with a laser target designator.

Mini-UAVs such as Chinese quadcopters are also practically undetectable.

After the first shot, the camouflaged mortar position is detected by the counter-artillery radar and is destroyed faster than it folds. UAVs are working against mobile mortars of the Sanei type.

The advantage of disposable grenade launchers with remote control lies precisely in the fact that no one is interested in an empty TPK after a shot, and the next shot will be fired from another disposable grenade launcher with an unknown location for the enemy.

It is not necessary. A slit or dugout is more difficult to see from the air. Then the cover flips back, two or three shots, and down into the manhole and into the dungeons. A trained crew makes three seconds shots in 20, that is, to turn around, shoot and roll up - minutes will be enough.
And you need to find them, classify, give the command to the aircraft, the aircraft needs to go to the target, drop a bomb or a rocket, conduct targeting to the target ... It will take a decent amount of time, much more than a minute. Hence the conclusion: spent expensive ammunition to defeat the pits in the ground.

The anti-bunker UAB affects depths of 10 and more than meters. On the other hand, for all-round shelling and providing an alternate angle of throwing grenades from 45 to 80 degrees (in accordance with the distance to the target), a manhole as a vertical embrasure will not work - you will need to make a funnel / half funnel. In this case, the task of the attackers is not to defeat the mortar itself, but to destroy the bunker in order to prevent the loss of its armored vehicles.

Why do not you like an alternative to a mortar - a disposable grenade launcher with the exact same grenade targeting system that a mine has? There is no need to dig a bunker (with the risk of merging information to the enemy), there is no need to protect against retaliation, the cost of a one-time grenade launcher with a guided grenade is at the cost of the guided mine.

                        A one-off mortar is a good idea.
My objection boils down to the fact that you are using a strong overestimation of the capabilities of the UAB and other "high points" to substantiate your proposal.
                        How is the revaluation?
First, one UAB against one goal is considered. On the scale of the whole war, let's say, 100 UAB against 300 potential targets. Some of them may be false.
Secondly, time passes between the detection of a target and its defeat, sometimes very significant. It is too small for a CP, but for a nomadic firing point it is sufficient to shoot and leave.
Third, smoke, dust, fog, and the like affect the targeting performance. conditions. High precision is now used in a region where there are no problems with good weather. And even then, I have never met an assessment of what percentage of high-precision bombs and missiles actually hit the target.

A disposable mortar differs from a disposable rocket launcher only in weight and pipe cost - in the first case, the steel pipe weighs and costs 10 times more than in the second case fiberglass.

The climatic conditions of the Middle East (for which you offer your solutions) differ in a transparent atmosphere, with the exception of the season of sandstorms, but no fighting is conducted this season.

As for the dustiness / smoke on the battlefield, as well as the use of automatically fired smoke grenades to protect armored vehicles from laser-guided munitions, in this case it is advisable for Palestinians and Lebanese to use inertial homing grenades (Iranian assembly based on cheap Chinese smartphone components) coordinates of external target designation from on-board cheap mini quadcopters of the same Chinese production

As you can see, the application of the experience of past wars, combined with some ingenuity, allows us to develop a much more effective tactic of fighting against the enemy with overwhelming superiority in technology and to arrange an epic battle with significant losses and bonfires from armored vehicles.

    - They are doing this but "epic slaughter" It happened only once, when the M113 stuffed with explosives exploded. Since then, the IDF has done homework and no longer allowed this, and Namer appeared. The probability of a buried land mine is always there, and after a certain number of explosives, no armored car can withstand the explosion. On the other hand, there is nothing to detonate in the same Namer, and in comparison with the alternatives it will withstand a longer mine.

    - in order to surround Namer with grenade launchers during the fighting, they will have to hide from a cloud of drones hanging over Gaza (to prevent this from happening, the Tsakhal is reinsured; this can lead to a friendly fire by a tank around the building with Israeli infantry - this was the case); so it was during the last operations.
    - It was quite possible to lay a huge land mine earlier, but that has not happened since (M113) (maybe thanks to the control of the import of explosives into Gaza, maybe half of Gaza work for Shabak, maybe they are just afraid of an answer). I believe in AOI they are working on and preparing for different options. Be that as it may - better than Namer, for Israel not yet.

Soviet TMK penetrates from 60 to 110 mm (depending on the type of explosive) - and this is not the most advanced anti-bottom cumulative mine. To combat the columns, it is quite possible to use anti-board tm-83s, this type of mines at a distance of 5 to 50 m is capable of piercing about 100 mm (non-cumulative - impact core).

Mina LMG is a shell made of thin-walled steel (probably even tin) ... Mina could also be used as guided. In this case, the projectile was fired by the operator from the control panel at the expense of an electric detonator inserted into the pilot glass instead of the MUV fuse or by twine, wire tied to the MUV fuse pin and pulled in this way by the operator. However, in this case, due to the difficulty in determining the moment of the shot, it was recommended to install in one place five to six mines aimed at the road section with a fan. One of the mines could hit the target.

According to its structure, the mine is very primitive and it is possible to produce it in the field in military workshops ...

Dear author, do not be offended by what I will write below ... I just imagined how Israeli intelligence officers "die" from laughter after reading your deepest thoughts))) First, heavy equipment - tanks, always and in all armies when conducting military operations in the city are used to block the enemy in the area of the cleanup and as a means of operational fire support for predetermined targets. Only a full beanie will bring heavy machinery into town. But this is about the war. Israel carries out police operations in 99 cases that are not intended to end the guerrilla war. You probably don’t know that Israel has very strong intelligence, which includes not only military intelligence officers and sappers, but also air, special forces. But the most important thing is undercover intelligence. Israel has already developed a great practice of combating underground communications. But I have a question from "12 chairs": "... as an artist, I want to ask an artist - DO YOU KNOW TO DRAW?" I am translating to the subject of the article - did you serve in the army, well, at least in the infantry or tankmen, or are you speculating on the experience of computer shooters ???

Mine explosives is a whole science, with its own formulas and calculations for each case. The practice of using land mines and mines shows that anti-tank mines are more effective than land mines. High-power charges are mainly used to create obstacles along the lines of military equipment, but not to destroy one BMP or tank. On your "And?" Such a thing will only work if, on the night before a hypothetical Jewish large-scale operation, all Palestinian fighters are replaced by Vietnamese during the corresponding war. Then yes. And so ... In a word, traders. Of course, there are ideological fighters there, but operational work on the spot works well against the main mass. How many reports have already been made about another opened tunnel under the Gaza Strip? Do you think GPR helped? Oh, well, it’s commonplace to buy information. Once I read that the Gaza Strip sits on subsidies from Israel, and the marina is shamefacedly not shown, because the luxury of villas and yachts can envy Monaco. When the governing clan-corporate group needs to bargain for another bribe, they find young people, turn them against the Jews - and off we go. A couple of times they banged somewhere, then negotiations, kickbacks, etc. When they are very greedy - here's an operation for you. And where does "Namer" have to do with it? Well, the crowd somehow needs to be explained that yes, we are at war ...

And when the IDF enters, they still shoot Grad volleys at the civilian population, hide behind their children, and after 24 hours start yelling about genocide, demanding a truce. Although yes, in 2014 they detonated one M-113 APC with a concentrated RPG strike (7 or 9 hits) and captured one Israeli officer, attacking under cover of darkness during a truce from a tunnel.

First, in the photo where the side of the tank was turned around, it was a mistake during the exercises of the 401th brigade that the Merkava-4Mem tank fired a shell, 120mm cumulative-fragmentation, the tank was damaged and no one died, two days later the tank returned to service, the grenade didn’t even I would feel.
The second BTR Namer is equipped with a round-the-clock and all-day surveillance system with automatic selection of moving targets, that is, no one will come close, and everyone, the crew and infantrymen are monitoring, there used to be two LCD multi-screens in the infantry compartment, and four are new in the infantry, and wrist computers are being massively introduced Tsayad (Hunter) systems.

The author forgets that the entire Gaza Strip is scanned for 24 hours by satellites (including US), aviation (including UAVs) and the TAOS balloon system:
    TTX of a helium balloon: volume 285 m3; lifting height 300 m; linear size 16 m (there are devices 32 m long).
The control station is located in the trailer.
Payload: weight 35 kg; diameter 300 mm; height 400 mm; azimuth viewing area circular; accuracy of determining coordinates in azimuth ± 2 °; viewing area in the vertical plane from +25 to -110 °.
The device is equipped with a thermal imaging system of the front view. Operating range - the long-wavelength part of the IR spectrum; field of view: narrow 1,7 x 1,3 °; average 5,1 x 3,9 °; wide 24 x 18 °. The system includes a mini cooler.
The optical system has a field of view of 1,5 x 1,2 °, a focal length of 24-240 mm, an optical magnification of 1:10.
The payload along with the information sensors of day and night observation includes a system for diagnosing the state of the platform and monitoring its position over a given geographical area.
The only cable is used for mooring a tethered balloon, powering the platform and two-way communication. The video signal is transmitted via fiber optic communication, which avoids signal distortion due to electromagnetic interference.
The multi-sensor payload consists of high resolution CCD and FLIR sensors. In addition, radar, a laser range finder and a laser target illumination system can be placed on a balloon.
TAOS optical and infrared equipment is gyro-stabilized along two axes and is controlled by the operator in azimuth and vertical plane with the help of a joystick.
The device can operate normally at wind speeds up to 20,5 m / s.
The deployment time of the balloon is 45 minutes.
In addition, Israel has almost created two mini-balloon systems for use at altitudes of 100-200 m, respectively, with payloads of up to 26 kg and up to 4 kg.

    About the underground war.
The final example is Syria. In its cities, the Islamists created extensive networks of tunnels and bunkers, which subsequently affected the effectiveness of aviation actions on militants. To defend themselves from the tunnels of the militants, Assad’s army digs counter-tunnels to determine the sound of the enemy’s underground work, and with the help of mechanisms - barrage deep ditches.
This war has a long history - in fact, it began with the history of mankind. So in ancient times, a case was described when a digging was dug under the city wall and enemy soldiers rushed into the city along it. At first, the city’s defenders stuffed a beehive into the tunnel - it didn’t help much, but a living crocodile from a local menagerie in the tunnel saved the situation.
During the First World War, undermines used both sides to undermine the enemy’s fortifications, laying tens or hundreds of tons of explosives.
My father said that during the Great Patriotic War, to protect themselves from shelling, our soldiers dug individual "fox holes" in the side walls of the trenches. They were strengthened from shedding with improvised means. For example, with the help of rings rolled from branches and young trees and tied with ropes.
The Americans created a squad - "Tunnel Rats" for the war with the Vietnamese in the tunnels. Armament: 45 caliber pistols, flashlights, C-4 explosives, tear gas grenades and compact police gas masks.
Our fighters in Afghanistan fought with dushmans in the underground hydraulic system - in the kyariz. Since, as in Vietnam, aviation and artillery turned out to be ineffective against them, a special subdivision for underground warfare was created as part of the 40th Army. True, our soldiers did not climb deep into the ground, but used more powerful explosive charges and flamethrowers, including Bumblebees.
During the war in Korea, the total length of the tunnels reached 520 km, and the number of bunkers - 10 thousand.

The Israeli IDF said it has begun testing a new Hamas tunnel detection system along the Gaza border.
The system is based on various sensors, the information from which is sent to the command post and processed using special algorithms that distinguish underground work from other types of noise and minimize false alarms.

You can not see anything in the city building from a stationary balloon - the walls of the houses shield the view. Therefore, for a situational review, UAVs with vertically pointing video cameras are necessary.

The detection system for transboundary tunnels is based on stationary seismic sensors that cannot be located in the depths of Gaza’s development. Therefore, only the hand-held ground-penetrating radar of the IDF infantry to detect pit-traps, land mines, anti-wall and anti-roll mines.

Well, then, statistics to help you on the genocide:
For example, today at 08.00 Moscow time, according to the source https://countrymeters.info/ru/World:

Palestine was born 195, 21 died, an increase of 161 with a population of 5 207 939 people.
Life expectancy at birth (for both sexes) is 74,5 years (years).
The average age is 19.3 years.
Since 1950, the population of PA has grown 5,4 times.

But what about the Zionist occupier?
Israel was born 216, died 54, an increase of 167 with a population of 8 623 574 people,
Life expectancy at birth (for both sexes) is 81 years (years).
The average age is 30.2 years.
The population of Israel has grown 1950 times since 6,54.

    For example, compare
Russia was born 2143, died 2338, an increase of 69 with a population of 146 542 320 people,
Life expectancy at birth (for both sexes) is 66,3 years (years).
The average age is 38.7 years.
The population of Russia since 1950 has grown 1,42 times.

    PS
    1) The average life expectancy in the world is around 71 years (according to the population department of the United Nations Department of Economic and Social Affairs).
    2) Apparently, as a result of successful Jewish genocide, the Arab population of the PA since 1950 has grown 5,4 times, reached the third density in the world and continues to grow, while the population of the RSFSR - RF has grown 1950 times since 1,4.

It seems to me that the author is mistaken in describing the power of explosives based on ammonium nitrate, it cannot have a TNT equivalent greater than 1, (usually 0.75 - 0.8), because TNT refers to medium power explosives. and DIA to reduced power, i.e. the brisant (crushing) effect of TNT is initially higher. DIA can equal or somewhat surpass TNT in a high-explosive (scattering) action, i.e. they are more profitable to use for demolition work in the ground.

The main problem when arranging tank traps in a populated area or installing mines and land mines is that, in the first place, it is not easy to organize the secrecy of these activities. First of all, people who live nearby will not always support the performers in everything for a banal reason - "their own shirt is closer to the body." This will manifest itself in the fear of the consequences due to the reaction of the enemy after incurring losses, and, in addition, in the ordinary fears of people who are forced, for example, to live next to a powerful land mine. Accordingly, one way or another, but often there are ways to "throw" information to the enemy, especially in such conditions and with the conflict that smolders between the Palestinians and the Israelis. A good example from the Finns - they left the population in the foreground of the "Mannerheim Line", but in the main strip they resettled all farms and villages or restricted access, for example, to important economic facilities in a closed area such as mills and sawmills. To a heap, such measures reduce the effectiveness of the enemy's agent intelligence.

    Regarding RPG-7, etc.
Already on July 20, the Israeli press reported that over the past few days of the ground operation, the enemy had repeatedly made attempts to destroy the tanks of the Israeli armed forces using various anti-tank weapons, but they all ended in failure. Part of the main tanks involved in the operation Merkava Mk IV is equipped with a complex of active defense (KAZ) Trophy, which successfully intercepted a number of anti-tank grenades. According to reports, at least five grenades were shot down only in the first three days of the ground operation using KAZ Trophy.
A few days after the start of the ground operation, the first video appeared, which captures the work of the Trophy system. As follows from the video captions, on July X, Hamas militants attempted to attack an Israeli tank with the help of a Russian-made RPG-22 grenade launcher. The rocket grenade flew to the tank, but was destroyed by the Trophy system. The ammunition exploded at a safe distance from the combat vehicle and did not cause any damage to it. Given the characteristics of the RPG-29 grenade launcher, it is safe to say that KAZ Trophy saved the life of an Israeli tank crew.

the substances are different, but the basis - glycerin or another large molecule with an active radical from nitric acid - is the same. The only question is the modification. And for this you do not need to read a whole book. By the way, with the help of sugar, nitric acid and perfume, you can make such explosives that TNT will be weaker every 5 times.

different in order for TNT to be not only explosive, but also to be stable, have a number of other necessary physical properties.
if we take pure explosive power, it can be simplified. For example, a mixture of Ozone and hydrogen is far more explosive than water. And this mixture can also be enhanced with a catalyst ...
aromatic rings of carbon perfume molecules can be a powerful catalyst for the nitrate radical.

This is all false simplicity, moreover, designed to fulfill many specific rigid assumptions.
It’s simpler and more correct to come up with some kind of flexible, easy to implement and unexpected move that is conducive in battle or a technique — for example, to vacuum, periodically and prophylactically (into a threatened, etc.) vacuum the prepared positions of grenade throwers with the most ordinary, serial industrial or construction electric vacuum cleaner, reducing visibility from dust clouds when fired ... Well, if cars smuggle through tunnels, then they will be able to get or vacuum cleaners themselves.
