American attack aircraft "bombed" in neighboring state
According to the portal, the A-10C Thunderbolt II attack aircraft assigned to the 23 Fighter Group, flew from Moody Air Base in Georgia to conduct a training flight and in the process of performing a mission over the state, after an air collision with a bird, inadvertently dropped three training bombs that fell in the neighboring state of Florida.
According to the US military data, the training "bombs" have fallen somewhere near the settlement of Savanni Springs, but no one knows the exact location of the fall. According to preliminary information, there are no victims and destructions on the ground, currently fallen ammunition is being searched for.
The US Air Force reported that the plane dropped three BDU-33 training bombs. The mass of each of them is 11,4 kg, length - almost six meters, diameter - about a meter. Ammunition is very similar to a real bomb M1a-82 226,8 kilogram mass.
