Frigate "Admiral Kasatonov" continues the next stage of sea trials
As follows from the received press release, during the next ship’s launch for testing in the Baltic Sea, the operation of the main power plant at various speeds, steering and anchor devices and pitching dampers was tested. During the release, several survival exercises were conducted. In the near future, the work of communications complexes, navigation and navigational equipment, special equipment and some other systems will be checked.
The commander of the frigate, Captain I rank, Ivan Rogatin, noted that the crew and the shipbuilders cooperate harmoniously and the sea trials pass in the normal mode. The ship will take part in the main naval parade in St. Petersburg.
According to the plans of the shipbuilders, the newest frigate will be handed over to the Ministry of Defense before the end of this year.
The frigate “Admiral Kasatonov” is the second ship of the 22350 project and the first serial ship after the lead frigate “Admiral Gorshkov”. The displacement of 5 is thousands of tons with a length of 135 m and a width of 16 m. The frigate is able to go 4500 miles, thus developing speed to 29 nodes. The autonomy of swimming is 30 days. Crew - from 170 people.
