The Defense Ministry stressed that Russian planes made a planned flight without entering the airspace of other states, and Russian missile carriers regularly fly over the neutral waters of the Arctic, Atlantic, Black Sea and Pacific Ocean in strict accordance with international rules for the use of airspace.

Tu-95MS - a turboprop strategic bomber-missile carrier, according to NATO classification, has the name Bear - "Bear." The aircraft is designed to solve the shock tasks of defeating the most important targets in remote areas and in the deep rear of the continental theaters of operations.

Currently, the Ministry of Defense is modernizing "strategists" at the enterprise "TANTK named after G. M. Beriev" in Taganrog. In the course of overhaul and modernization, the Obzor-MS radar station is changed to Novela-NV, the new information display system SOI-021 and the upgraded on-board defense complex Meteor-HM2 are installed on the aircraft.
