Russian "Bears" Tu-95MS flew off the coast of Alaska

Russian strategic missile-carriers Tu-95MS of the Russian Aerospace Forces conducted scheduled flights over the neutral waters of several seas, as well as off the coast of Alaska and the Aleutian Islands. The flight took a total of more than 12 hours, the press service of the Russian Ministry of Defense reports.
According to a popular report, four strategic missile carriers Tu-95MS made a planned flight in the airspace above the neutral waters of the Chukchi, Bering and Okhotsk seas, as well as along the western coast of Alaska and the northern coast of the Aleutian Islands. The flight duration was more than 12 hours, in some parts of the flight the missile carriers were accompanied by fifth-generation F-22 fighters of the US Air Force.
The Defense Ministry stressed that Russian planes made a planned flight without entering the airspace of other states, and Russian missile carriers regularly fly over the neutral waters of the Arctic, Atlantic, Black Sea and Pacific Ocean in strict accordance with international rules for the use of airspace.
Tu-95MS - a turboprop strategic bomber-missile carrier, according to NATO classification, has the name Bear - "Bear." The aircraft is designed to solve the shock tasks of defeating the most important targets in remote areas and in the deep rear of the continental theaters of operations.
Currently, the Ministry of Defense is modernizing "strategists" at the enterprise "TANTK named after G. M. Beriev" in Taganrog. In the course of overhaul and modernization, the Obzor-MS radar station is changed to Novela-NV, the new information display system SOI-021 and the upgraded on-board defense complex Meteor-HM2 are installed on the aircraft. Also on the aircraft install new engines.
