In January of this year, a photo of three Russian-made Yak-130 training aircraft at a Vientiane airfield appeared on Lao web resources. This aircraft has nine world records in its class. In addition, it is today considered one of the most popular combat-training aircraft of Russian origin in the world. He is already in service in such foreign countries as Algeria, Bangladesh, Myanmar. And now, Laos has become a foreign buyer of three Yak-130 aircraft.
For 20 years, the Laos People’s Army’s Air Force has not had a single jet combat aircraft. Today jet aviation returned to this region, and she has a Russian soul.
In Russia itself, a number of “work on the mistakes”, which were identified as a result of the operation of the Yak-130 UBS, were carried out.
What wonders do military diplomacy in the most remote corners of the planet? How do residents of Laos meet Russian-made military equipment? As well as an exclusive interview with the head of the defense department of Laos, in which he will answer in Russian the question about the flight of the Yak-130 aircraft during a parade dedicated to the seventieth anniversary of the founding of the Lao People's Army. All this is presented in the next issue of "Military acceptance."
