A photo exhibition “Heroes of Russia, as nobody has seen them,” works in Vnukovo
The aim of the project “Heroes of Russia, which no one saw them”, is the formation of a modern image of a veteran. Heroes of Russia and the Soviet Union, war veterans took part in the shooting. These men selflessly defended their homeland, many were seriously injured and injured in battle, but today, despite the difficulties passed, presented by their fate, they live a full, active and eventful life.
For three years, the project has been implemented by the Memory of Generations Charitable Foundation with the participation of world-famous photographers - Danila Golovkin and Olga Tuponogova-Volkova. Working on the project, the photographers managed to show the heroes by real - strong and courageous men, whose possibilities are endless. Stories The lives of veterans who overcame many obstacles in their path prove that human capabilities are endless even in the most difficult of circumstances. By participating in the project, the characters motivate them to overcome any difficulties on the way to their goals and prove that nothing is impossible for a person.
This year the shooting of the Heroes of Russia and the Soviet Union took place for the first time in the picturesque places of the Crimean peninsula. The unique nature of the Crimea complemented the images of the heroes and emphasized the strength of mind and character of each. These men performed real feats for which they were awarded the high titles of Heroes of Russia and the Soviet Union.
The shooting of the veterans took place in Moscow studios, during which the participants did not hide the injuries and artificial limbs received in battle under their clothes. All of them regularly train, stubbornly go to victory over difficulties, and with each achievement they prove that even from the most difficult situation there is a way out.

During the second Chechen war, Arkady Korolkov was the commander of the 99 Guards self-propelled artillery regiment. In January 2000, during the storming of Grozny, he was cut off from his comrades at the observation post and caused his batteries to fire on him, causing the militants to be thrown back.
Hero of the Russian Federation, Mikhail Anatolyevich Minenkov, fought 1999 in the year against Basayev and Khattab gangs in Dagestan. In October 1999, the reconnaissance group of the assault force under his command, with a surprise attack, rescued the airborne special forces group surrounded by the enemy. Mikhail Minenkov organized the evacuation of the wounded and covered the waste, was seriously wounded in a land mine explosion, but continued to fire.
The Hero of the Russian Federation, Sergey Leonidovich Yashkin, was the commander of the Perm Special Forces SOBR and led a detachment of the Special SOBR in the North Caucasus. In 2012, he was wounded and contused in battle, received 2 and 3 degree burns, but did not come out of the battle, personally destroyed a group of militants and continued to lead a special operation until its successful completion.
