The Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Kazakhstan has finally summed up the results of the second International Exhibition of Armament and Military Technical Equipment "KADEX-2012", which was held in May in Astana, the press service of RAC "MiG" reports. AEX.ru

According to the press service of the Ministry of Defense of Kazakhstan, among combat aircraft "the greatest interest of specialists of the Armed Forces of Kazakhstan was caused by a multifunctional front-line fighter MiG-29М2".

At the KADEX-2012 exhibition, the delegation of RAC MiG OJSC under the leadership of General Director Sergey Korotkov actively worked. He presented the MiG-29М2 aircraft to President Nursultan Nazarbayev of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the leadership of the Ministry of Defense, the company said.

On the MiG-29M2 fighter, high-ranking military personnel of Kazakhstan performed familiarization flights. Commander-in-Chief of the Air Defense Forces of the Army of Kazakhstan, Lieutenant General aviation Alexander Sorokin after the flight said: “A good MiG-29M2, multi-functional. It is a beautiful car. It works in all modes: by air, by land, by ship. ”

Currently, RSK MiG OJSC is leading the mass production of MiG-29М / М2 airplanes. Together with the MiG-29K / KUB ship-borne fighters, they will form the basis of the production program of the Russian Aircraft Corporation MiG in the medium term.
MiG-29М / М2 - single and double newest serial combat aircraft of RSK MiG. They are based on the ship-based MiG-29K / KUB fighters, which are being mass-produced from the 2008 year. When developing the MiG-29K / KUB and MiG-29М / М2 family, the task of combining the outstanding aerodynamic characteristics of the classic MiG-29 with advanced developments in avionics, materials, engines and weapons was solved. MiG-29М / М2 - multifunctional combat aircraft that can fight air, ground and surface targets with the help of modern and advanced precision weapons.

MiG-29М / М2 is equipped with the latest detection systems of attacking missiles and laser irradiation, which allows timely detection of threats and parrying them with the help of electronic warfare. The assigned resource of the MiG-29М / М2 airframe is 6000 hours, the calendar service life is 40 years, which significantly exceeds the similar indicators of previously produced aircraft.
