RTO project 22800 "Mytishchi" became part of the Baltic Fleet

The Baltic Fleet today replenished with a small missile ship of project 22800 Mytishchi. At the main base of the Baltic fleet - Baltiysk, a ceremony was held to raise the St. Andrew’s flag at the RTOs, according to the press service of the fleet. The ship will serve in the brigade of missile ships and boats of the Baltic Naval Base.
The newest small missile ship "Mytishchi" (previously known as "Hurricane") is the lead ship of the 22800 project. Launched December 24 2015 of the year and launched on July 29 2017 of the year. The ships of the 22800 "Karakurt" project are intended for conducting combat operations in the near-sea zone and participating in the fulfillment of tasks in peacetime and wartime independently and as part of ship groups.
Main characteristics: length - 67 meters, width - 11 meters, draft - 4 meters, displacement - about 800 tons, cruising range - up to 2500 miles, autonomy - 15 days. The main armament is the Caliber-NK cruise missiles, besides there are one 76-mm AK-176MA artillery mount, two 30-mm AK-630М guns, and two 14.5-mm MTPU machine guns on the ship.
Starting from the second serial ship, the 22800 “Karakurt” interconnecting company will equip the naval version of the Pantsir anti-aircraft missile system.
At present, eleven more ships of this project are being built at 3's shipyards.

Information
