The Baltic Fleet today replenished with a small missile ship of project 22800 Mytishchi. At the main base of the Baltic fleet - Baltiysk, a ceremony was held to raise the St. Andrew’s flag at the RTOs, according to the press service of the fleet. The ship will serve in the brigade of missile ships and boats of the Baltic Naval Base.

RTO project 22800 "Mytishchi" became part of the Baltic Fleet

The newest small missile ship "Mytishchi" (previously known as "Hurricane") is the lead ship of the 22800 project. Launched December 24 2015 of the year and launched on July 29 2017 of the year. The ships of the 22800 "Karakurt" project are intended for conducting combat operations in the near-sea zone and participating in the fulfillment of tasks in peacetime and wartime independently and as part of ship groups.

Main characteristics: length - 67 meters, width - 11 meters, draft - 4 meters, displacement - about 800 tons, cruising range - up to 2500 miles, autonomy - 15 days. The main armament is the Caliber-NK cruise missiles, besides there are one 76-mm AK-176MA artillery mount, two 30-mm AK-630М guns, and two 14.5-mm MTPU machine guns on the ship.

Starting from the second serial ship, the 22800 “Karakurt” interconnecting company will equip the naval version of the Pantsir anti-aircraft missile system.

At present, eleven more ships of this project are being built at 3's shipyards.

          Yes, no sea shell ...

A photograph was taken at the INTERNATIONAL MILITARY SALON in St. Petersburg.

What do we know about him? Created on the basis of the land version of the shell. But very little remains of the original. Another (more powerful) phased array antenna. The scanning angle of the antenna beam (with the tower stationary) is sixty degrees. When you turn the tower, naturally, you get a review of three hundred and sixty degrees.
Thanks to the new multifunctional sighting station with a phased antenna array, the range of the ship-based complex is almost doubled. The target tracking range is approximately forty kilometers. The target detection range is seventy-five kilometers. Although it is clear that the range is highly dependent on the size of the target.
          Another artillery unit.
On the land option are two thirty millimeter automatic machines with dual trunks 2A28M

And on the marine version of the shell there are two thirty-millimeter six-barrel blocks A0-18KB

the PANTSIR-ME anti-aircraft missile and gun system is presented. (export version)

At the exhibition, this is understandable. I strongly doubt that they would put a model on a warship.
Another question I'm interested in is whether it will have the ability to reload missiles from the cellar, as on the Kashtans, and whether there will be such an opportunity on RTOs.

The development of the marine version of the anti-aircraft complex has been underway since 2011 of the year by order of the Russian Navy. In 2015, the small-scale production of the Shell-M began; the current contract provides for the delivery of three such complexes to the Russian fleet. The main characteristics of the marine version of the "Shell" correspond to those of the ground. During the development, the specialists of the Instrument Design Bureau developed a system for detecting and tracking targets and guidance. Tests of the marine version were conducted at the Kapustin Yar training ground.

The Pella shipyard in St. Petersburg took it out of the shop and prepared for the launch of the small flurry ship Shkval of the 22800 Karakurt project with the serial number 253. According to bmpd, this ship was the first to receive the marine version of the Pantsir-S1 anti-aircraft missile and cannon system - Pantsir-M. As expected, Shkval, the third floating vessel under construction under the 22800 project, will be used for offshore testing of the anti-aircraft complex, which is likely to then be installed on other Russian ships.

but the reality is depressing - to build karakurt for three years is a shame ...

This is half the trouble, because this was offset by the ability to simultaneously build them at several shipyards. But the fact that for these "maltsov" our industry can hand over a year, as it turned out in practice, only one engine is a complete failure! And this despite the fact that 10 more ships are in varying degrees of readiness at different shipyards, which took out loans from banks for construction and now do not know how to give them back and what to do with the ships that are hanging, which, moreover, take up space. But the Karakurt was presented as a quick and cheap way to increase the power of the Navy, which, for various reasons, did not receive the promised frigates 2011-2020, nor a sufficient number of corvettes, and the laying of the Leader destroyers is not planned at all even in the next GPV. In general, as one prime minister said, we wanted the best, but it turned out, as always negative

You apparently just do not understand why this is being done. This means that this ship becomes sponsored by the city of "Mytishchi", and, accordingly, replenishment in personnel from there will receive various patronage assistance. And this tradition has long been introduced in our fleet.

Where can I be a sirem .. In 1904 it was exactly that about collecting voluntary donations from the people for the construction of ships. When would Mytishchi financed the construction of the ship, so please. At least "Anatoly Chubais" with a corresponding contribution from the appropriate person (although, remembering the "adventures" of "Chernomyrdin", it is somehow direct and scary). Right now the "partner" will withdraw from the Treaty, and it looks like this epic of ours with the saturation of the fleet with "caliber carriers" will subside. It is easier to throw forces on the container version of "Caliber" and put on railway trains ... wagons / platforms, 50 pieces per train, which will give 200 KRBD in a salvo. And to form them, let's say a dozen, and to send 4 pieces to the Far East and 6 to the European part of Russia. Most likely, one such composition will cost only 2 MRK pr.22800, and a volley is 10 or more times more than both of them. This does not mean that it is not necessary to build RTOs, it is necessary, only it is necessary to sharpen them for the traditional tasks of the fleet, such as in projects 1241 and 1234. Now for the fleet, it is simply a burden.

Well, the glorious Baltic Fleet is becoming like a modern fleet, in which there are new ships with "Caliber". "Mytischi" would still have 3-4 "Karakurt" to help, but as soon as possible new submarines would come to the Baltic. You look, and the ambition of the clairvoyants has diminished, and the heads of the three rulers of the great sea powers - the three "Baltic sisters", would have cleared up at least a little in their heads. And then everyone cannot sleep peacefully, looking at the Kaliningrad region.
Angry (Sergey), please explain - who and why spits. Because of the renaming of ships or because of their characteristics. On tests in the White Sea, the boat showed itself quite poorly, according to conversations.

Sailors are superstitious people, it is clear on the question that you do not belong to the "waterfowl" (this is not an offensive nickname), otherwise you would not ask such a question. If you want Mytischi, then lay "Mytischi". Renaming makes sense only when the country of the ship changes, or when the country itself has stepped / crawled from socialism into capitalism. In general, the series was broken! Let's see how their (two named) ships will serve ... Yes, the characteristics are good, we will wait for confirmation from the participants in the state tests. Only he is still a seaworthy version of "Buyan M", his place is at the BS in Tartus. But the Black Sea "Buyan M" place is just in the Baltic. And Tartus is not at all interested in him, as a carrier of the Caliber SLCM, there we already have two Warsaw women on duty, up to 12 SLCMs on each, and just as a carrier of the most formidable Onyx anti-ship missiles! And he doesn't seem to be carrying them. Well then, even though his eight anti-ship missiles 3m54, it is also better than nothing, as it is now.
