Fantastic flight of "Zircon" and "Petrel"

183
In the outgoing year, a whole constellation of promising domestic weapons was presented, which still arouse the interest of the public. Today I want to sort through the most obvious and controversial points on this topic.

For a start historical example. Three decades ago, there was an SDI (Star Wars) program to create a large-scale missile defense system with space-based elements. Among the proposals there were “nuclear-pumped” X-ray lasers, attempts to stop the ICBMs by a controlled swarm of microsatellites (the “Diamond Dust” project), and other surprising ideas. All of them were based on data from fundamental science, backed up by a technical backlog in the laboratory.

As a result of the program, it turned out that all of the proposed “non-traditional” solutions are inferior in efficiency to more traditional means.

Unlike the work on the creation of nuclear weapons or the “rocket euphoria” of 60's, where the results were worth the costs, the PIO turned out exactly the opposite. Combat satellites and death rays did not have a distinct superiority over existing weapons, but they required much more to deploy. The only result achieved in practice was the continuation of work on the creation of transatmospheric interceptors, based on the already known and mastered principles of rocket technology.

In my opinion, the current situation with promising models of armaments is a reflection of those “star wars” of the late twentieth century. When news on the creation of realistic means combined with statements about the development of absolutely fantastic, difficult to implement and, moreover, useless projects.

Let's see how this looks with specific examples.

There is no doubt about the testing of the Sarmat RS-28 heavy-duty ICBM and the Rubezh mobile RS-26 missile systems. Further evolution of intercontinental ballistic missiles.

Further, modern technologies allow the creation of a warhead that uses the aerodynamic principle of flight to lower it (Avgard AGGBO). Glider for the upper layers of the atmosphere, which does not need advanced aerodynamic surfaces, - the lifting force is created by the shape of the hull. When decelerating, the AHBO loses lift and moves to a reduction along a ballistic trajectory. Because This aircraft was not originally intended for flying at low speeds and, moreover, does not have landing modes. Such developments were well known in the past, for example, the BOR-4 orbital rocket glider (first launch - 1980). So no doubt.

Interest is the guidance system "Avant-garde". Unlike MIRVIHIs, which almost instantly fall on the target along a ballistic trajectory, in the case of AGPO it is impossible to ensure acceptable accuracy only due to the impulse of the warhead rearing system. Aerodynamic flight is associated with the unpredictable influence of the atmosphere, and the combat unit at the end of the path will require additional correction.

A similar case from history is the Pershing 2 guided warhead. Outside the atmosphere, its primary, rough correction was carried out according to the ANN, using gas rudders. The stage of precise guidance began at an altitude of about 15 km, after reducing speed (to 2-3М) and resetting the heat-resistant fairing. An airborne radar came to life under a light radiotransparent fairing, in the memory of the RADAG system there were five digital terrain maps for different heights. The final correction was carried out, as in the usual KAB, using the "petals" of the aerodynamic rudders.

As you can see, the creators of the "Pershing" relatively easily circumvented the problem with the "plasma cloud", which makes it difficult to induce hypersound. In theory, this method allows you to hit even large moving objects, such as ships (the Chinese "Dongfeng-21"). The disadvantage is that the warhead becomes vulnerable at the final stage of the flight.

How guidance is made on the purpose of the Avgard AGBO - the secret behind seven seals. The main question is whether it was possible to create a sufficiently powerful and compact radar seeker that is able to view anything from the upper layers of the atmosphere from a height of tens of kilometers. Or is this another reincarnation of the “Pershing-2”, which was slowed down to completely ridiculous speeds by the standards of astronautics and only then began to think something.

I suppose it was possible to voice here all the main points of interest on the topic of the AGBO. Moving on.

Domestic military laser complex? The main thing - do not trust his creation Skolkovo.

80% of the global market for high power fiber lasers is owned by IPG Photonics, founded by a group of Russian scientists. Until now, in the town of Fryazino (Moscow Region) there is one of its key scientific and industrial centers (IRE-Polus). Given this potential, you can seriously talk about Russia's global leadership in creating a laser weapons.

We turn to the most interesting.

The air-launched ballistic missile "Dagger" and its complete opposite - hypersonic anti-firing "Zircon", which in its present form is a meaningless set of characteristics.

Many now splash coffee on the monitor, but the fact remains so.

Scramjet, 5-6 speeds of sound ("on trial - up to 8"). Flight range, according to different estimates - from 400 to 1000 km. All this - while preserving the mass-dimensions of subsonic Calibr with the ability to run from the standard UVP corvettes, frigates and IRAs.

These characteristics correspond to the nickel-iron meteorite., a part of which due to intensive ablative cooling (evaporation of the surface) will be able to fly a given distance in dense layers of the atmosphere. Because after the separation of the accelerator, such an aircraft will no longer have mass reserves for the installation of thermal protection capable of withstanding heating in 3-4 thousand degrees. This should be a solid array of metal, the structure of which is not terrible heat.

Based on the task, this object must have the ability to maneuver and be induced on the target. And most importantly - independently maintain hypersonic velocity in the stratosphere.

Fantastic flight of "Zircon" and "Petrel"

This is a new stage in the management of matter at the subatomic level, forcing the stones to show signs of complex technical systems and artificial intelligence.

8-swing anti-ship missile with scramjet in the specified dimensions - the worst pseudo-science fiction for the gullible public, always ready to charge banks from the TV with Chumak and profitable to invest in MMM.

All known today hypersonic devices with scramjet, whose characteristics are available in open sources (X-43 and X-51, photos of which are issued for "Zircon") show that nothing like the dimensions of the "Zircon" is impossible to implement.

X-51, max. The achieved speed is 5,1М, the longest flight is 426 km. Starting weight 1814 kg - when launched from the B-52 at a transonic speed, at an altitude of 13 km. It is clear that when launching from the surface, from a shipboard CIP, such an aircraft would require a more massive starting accelerator. At the same time, the X-51 lacked a WPC and a mechanism for opening aerodynamic surfaces, which also contributed to a decrease in the starting mass of the device. He was ready for overclocking immediately after separation from the carrier. Finally, the X-51 was a “dummy”, an experimental apparatus in which there was not even a hint of the homing head and the warhead.

Only erase the emblems of NASA ... Thanks to the futuristic appearance and incompetence of journalists in domestic and foreign articles, X-51 often plays the role of the "newest hypersonic weapon" of Russia and China

The X-43 was even more exotic than the X-51. He charred at a speed of 9M in exactly 10 seconds. So much was the estimated time of its ramjet operation, and for acceleration at the start, a multi-ton Pegas LV stage was used. Of course, the old man B-52 was also present in this scheme, first raising the entire system to an altitude of 13 km.

It is worth noting that both projects could not interest the military and were closed for their futility.

And now our media are hunting down stories about 8 Makhov on the tests of the “missile that has already entered the Navy’s arsenals”, which can be launched from the UWP of surface ships and submarine launch pits, designed for subsonic KR.

Many are concerned - why so far at least the approximate appearance of the “Zircon” has not been demonstrated. A logical question against the background of detailed and regular demonstrations of the “Dagger” or “random” exposure of another top-secret weapon (“Status-6”). Secrecy, secrecy ...

No privacy issues

In my opinion, the answer lies on the surface - the publication of any specifics in the form of the appearance and layout of the rocket will immediately kill the myth of the hypersonic Zircon. Whatever the designers draw, it will not answer the question of how such impressive characteristics were achieved.

“We know the similar layout, how was the heating problem inevitably arising in this and that part of the rocket solved?” Such comments will inevitably follow from specialists in the field of aircraft and rocket production.

Immediately note the version with intentional misinformation and "screenshots from the game." The story of Zircon could have been based on testing an experimental aircraft, some modification of Onyx or X-31AD (the fastest RPCs that can develop 3 + sound speeds at high altitudes). And all this deft movement in the interests of individuals was presented for the “already adopted for the hypersonic anti-ship missile system” with distorted characteristics.

Especially successful joke about 8 Makhov. Between five and eight speeds of sound lies such a catastrophic difference (see the table of heating), which requires the use of completely different design solutions and materials. Not to mention the fact that the required thrust in horizontal flight depends on the square of the speed, therefore, to exceed 1,5 times the design characteristics of the aircraft created for flying at a speed of 5-6М ... such "success" can only cause a smile. This is how to design a locomotive and eventually build an airplane.

Eh ... what's next? Cruise missile with a nuclear engine!

Weapons that do not give anything in the presence of extensive arsenals of ballistic missiles of mine, mobile and submarine-based. And that promises big problems for those who face its exploitation.

"Even if the sword has to be applied once in a lifetime, it is worth it to carry it all its life." However, Lao Zi never spoke about the second sword.

All the tasks of the “Petrel” are reliably duplicated by the available means of the nuclear triad. Without the risks of radiation poisoning of its own territories at each test launch.

But what common sense when national trust is at stake? Without a nuclear rocket is not enough.

In contrast to the unscientific fiction "Zircon", the story of a nuclear missile received at least some visual confirmation. However, there is nothing on them that could attract attention. The launch video is no different from the tests of conventional cruise missiles. As well as photos of the assembly shop, in which the head fairing is visible, which may belong to the KR of any type. Neither the appearance nor the general principle of operation of the engine was presented, taking into account the passion of the Defense Ministry to demonstrate the available models of the latest weapons. Compare with photos of the "Dagger" on which even the smallest details and tail numbers are noticeable.

Feasibility of the "Petrel" from a technical point of view? The answer is ambiguous.

Experiments at the beginning of 60's ("Tori-IIC") proved the performance of a nuclear ramjet during ground tests. Adjusted for significant mass and size characteristic of any nuclear reactors. It is no coincidence that the nuclear power industry has received the greatest development in the form of stationary objects (NPP) and power plants of ships, the dimensions of which allow installing the reactor and the necessary energy converters.

The military could not figure out the route during the air tests of the AOLS. According to calculations, for each hour of flight, the rocket would infect 1800 square miles with radiation. And to the place of its crash (the inevitable ending for any rocket) will be an insecure approach for thousands of years. According to one of the crazy sentences, the rocket should have been tied to a cable and driven in a circle over the desert in Nevada ...

At that time, reliable ICBMs appeared, and they immediately forgot about the idea of the JEMP.

Modern experts suggest the creation of an "environmentally friendly" nuclear-powered rocket with an isolated core. However, there is a more categorical opinion. Engine sizes that are too small and high airflow rates will require unconventional means of heat transfer. Heating of the working fluid (air) to the required temperature (above 1000 ° C) in such a short time is possible only by mixing it with particles evaporating from the surface of the core. That will lead to radiation pollution of the exhaust.

In both cases, it remains unclear what to do when it eventually collapses to the ground.

The engine of the Caliber missile develops 440 kgf thrust with the march speed of 0,8М (270 m / s), which corresponds to the power of 1,2 MW.

The ideal calculated efficiency of a turbojet engine is 30%, approximately the same figure describes the efficiency of nuclear power plants (submarine reactors). For the existence of the “Petrel” while maintaining subsonic flight speed and weight and size of the “Caliber”, a nuclear engine with a thermal power of about 4 MW is needed.

Много это или мало?

American experts, using the example of an experimental small-sized HFIR reactor, conclude that it is possible in principle to create an 1MW reactor in the dimensions of a cruise missile body. "Beer Keg" HFIR develops the thermal power of 85 MW, but experts forget to say that the "keg" is the active zone itself. And the whole system is 10 meters in height and weighs tens of tons.

At the same time, as you understand, the power and size of nuclear facilities are connected by non-linear dependence. In the case of a nuclear missile with the “Calibr” size, designers have only about 500 kg in stock (instead of the stock of fuel and a conventional turbojet engine).

The most powerful and sophisticated of small-sized nuclear reactors for equipping spacecraft (Topaz-1, end of 1980-x.) With its own mass 980 kg had a thermal power of "only" 150 kW.

This is 25 times less than the required value for the existence of a cruise missile.

As regards military significance, the threat of cruise missiles is their massive use. A lone subsonic missile defense barrage in the air throughout the day has every chance of being intercepted by air defense / missile defense and aviation the enemy. Much higher than that of an ICBM warhead.

Readers will surely resent my skepticism about the latest products. But there were asked obvious questions and facts that are hard to ignore. Based on the continuous demonstration of some samples and a deaf veil of secrecy around Burevestnik and Zircon, broken by promises to exceed all conceivable distance and speed indicators, as well as “conducting state tests already this year” ... One conclusion - in reality we will soon see laser complexes and a new generation of ballistic missiles. And “Zircon” and “Petrel” will continue to fly in the information space.

"You are all lying!", "This does not happen!" If our engineers were able to create a Shkval torpedo with a speed of 350 km / h (some also thought that this was impossible), why not create a hypersonic weapon? If there is not enough knowledge to understand how something works, this does not mean that it is impossible.

The author asked a reasonable question: what are the advantages of a long-range (non-infinite) missile missile polluting the surroundings with nuclear warheads, with the components of a nuclear triad? The USA will not be able to intercept the massive launch of ICBMs, as well as the Russian Federation. The principle of mutual destruction is respected. Another thing is that most of their arsenal, in fact, is invulnerable to defeat, being on board the submarine.

So no one said that you can’t create. The thing is that all the images of the “zircon” are actually X-51 with NASA signs erased in Photoshop. And about the impossibility of creating such a small object in such a small size with a ground / sea launch and a long flight range. There is generally not a single confirmed video of Russian scramjet trials.

Could have, Gunya will not be offended, they have him regularly on BMPD. And the Author, as always, somewhere distorts something - it turns out pretty convincingly. For example, about Zircon.
It seems that they want to try it next year.
The firing range of "Zircon", according to open data, is about 400 km, the flight speed is indicated in the region of Mach 4-6. As previously reported, the Zircon missiles will be launched using the universal shipborne rifle complex (UKSK) with vertical launchers, which is used for the Caliber and Onyx missiles.
That is, here the numbers are much more modest and real. At the same time, the weight and dimensions of Zircon may be much larger - thanks to the UKKS sizes

Again the wandering of the mind in the vastness of the vast universe. Kaptsov has already shut up with a chemist, since he claims that ..
which requires the use of completely different design solutions and materials.

That is, the idea crept into the head of expert Kaptsov that he was also a specialist in materials, with a doctorate in appendage in chemistry.
With regard to military significance, the threat of cruise missiles is their massive use. A single subsonic KR, patrolling in the air for 24 hours, has every chance of being intercepted by air defense / missile defense and enemy aircraft. Much higher than the ICBM warhead.

CR for missile defense is one of the most difficult goals. At the same time, no one canceled the stealth form and coating of this product. That is, when citizen Kaptsov sings the praises of Raptor, claiming that his ESR is extremely small, this is normal. But a rocket that is smaller overall will be visible to everyone and everyone. At the same time, for such as Kaptsov, it was stated that the Petrel will bypass missile defense zones and fly not along a predictable trajectory.
But to such an expert as a citizen, Kaptsov is all to the point.

Andrei, I think that there is no need to fly this rocket for a day. Once it is launched, then the goal is defined and there is no reason for her to spend extra time in flight.
Another interesting point. For 6-8 months. before the announcement of the GDP of new types of weapons, the United States stated that an increase in the radiation background had occurred in the northern seas, and that an accident had occurred at some Ural enterprise. But there was no such emergency. In my opinion, the Petrel was tested. I did not find any other explanation for this background increase. One more fact. Why was Kiriyenko given the Hero's Star ("Kommersant" wrote)? And finally, they gave the rocket a name to all the people. hi

This can be seen even from his table. This is called juggling facts. Now about the nuclear engine and the thousand years of contamination of the area after the accident. The author is apparently too far from this. He does not even know that on the site of Hiroshima, immediately after the explosion, the city was rebuilt and the Japanese, who survived the nuclear war, live for a very long time. Apparently he doesn’t know that even the Chernobyl accident, when the reactor produced so many fission fragments that it’s scary to think, and that are not comparable to any "fresh" radioactive explosion, where most of the fragments are short-lived isotopes, and then, now in 30 years there people live and live well. It is better for children and pregnant women not to appear there, while the rest can still live. What thousands of years? Again jerking. I didn't read further. Disgusting !!! The possibility of bending is literally a dozen nanometers under the radius of curvature, and any material that is at least somewhat strong does not tolerate bending under the radius of curvature of more than 1 cm. We add that nanotubes have their own thermal conductivity almost ballistic - 104 (W / (m · K)), not like copper, of course, but like a good metal. Giant radio absorption.

Here the author seized on a laser weapon. As you know, the military has long been able to control the weather. With the help of a projectile, or rocket, substances are sprayed, and already in the area of duty of a combat laser it is foggy or low lead clouds hang. In this way, all laser performance is significantly worsened by lesion. And the tested air-based installations are not able to be used immediately, because of their size. For example, IL-76 cannot be lifted into the air as fast as a fighter on duty. Climbing the right height and maneuverability, he is also far from fighter.

If the trajectory of the avant-garde controlled by the BB is a set of "ricochets" with course correction, then why not produce astrocorrection, which will provide acceptable accuracy - for a special warhead.

such an aircraft will no longer have reserves of mass for the installation of thermal protection, capable of withstanding heating of 3-4 thousand degrees.

Do ordinary BBs enter the atmosphere and withstand heat?
What prevents constructively providing a disconnected jump in the seal?

If the trajectory of the avant-garde controlled by the BB is a set of "ricochets" with course correction, then why not produce astrocorrection, which will provide acceptable accuracy - for a special warhead.

      1. SKA: when the speed deviates by 0,001 (about 8 m / s) from the calculated one, it leads to a deviation of the range of the secondary entry point into the atmosphere by 300 km, and a deviation of the path angle by 0,1 ° leads to a deviation of the range by 180 km.
Sliding entry with a bounce. Level 1-2-3 has an entrance interface at an altitude of approximately 120 km. The length of the section from entry point 1 to reentry point 3 reaches 10 km along the surface of the Earth. / IN THE PRINCIPLE OF AVANGRAD, IT IS PROBABLY SO AND FLYING /

In the intermediate flight section, control is either impossible or energy-intensive (Vanguard is a limitation in mass and volume), and therefore the accumulated deviation in range can only be compensated for in the section of the second immersion in the atmosphere.

      what accuracy is there?
      2. overloads from 14 g (NASA "double dive") + the same terrible heat flux: more than 30 KJ per square cm of surface / assessment of the resistance of thermally protected warheads from being hit by laser weapons, which was used in the USSR /
Example: the descent vehicle of the Vostok ship, which had a mass of 2460 kg, had a mass of spherical thermal protection of 800 kg. This is +/- 30% !!! (Vanguard is a restriction on mass and volume)
      3. The process of astronomical measurements takes relatively large time.
The peculiarity of using astro correction systems on rockets is that no matter what point of the trajectory measurements are taken, the solution to the complete navigation problem allows you to specify the coordinates of only the starting point. This is due to the fact that the gyrostabilized platform provides the necessary accuracy to maintain the vertical at this point.
To correct the current coordinates of the trajectory of a rocket or combat stage, you need to know the position of the local vertical. In principle, this is possible by using a horizon sensor that scans the edges of the Earth. However, only because of the non-sphericity of the Earth and the instability of the apparent horizon line, the root-mean-square error of determining the local vertical can reach 0,1 °. Despite the fact that there are some ways to reduce this error, there is no information on the use of ground and sea-based ballistic missile-based astroinertial navigation systems to determine the current coordinates of the flight path.

Aerodynamic drag, which starts below 100 km, the warhead drops speed to about 3 km / s at the entrance to the troposphere, while receiving a heat flux of 70 MW per square meter of warhead surface.
During a decrease of 15.3 seconds, from 35 to 20 km, each square centimeter of the surface would receive up to 100 KJ of heat.
Warheads are rescued by heat-shielding coatings made of graphite, Teflon, carbon fiber, etc. And this is the mass that Avangard does not possess.

I guess, yes. Only for this graph the speed is high (8 km / s), this is the graph for deceleration when leaving a sufficiently "high" circular orbit, the return modules of the Apollo (lunar program) were decelerated along the same trajectory only at high speeds.

How much to distance the jump in the seal from the housing - this is solved by changing the design of the heat-resistant fairing. Material? For example, something like having carbides ... zirconium :)).
Well, if in the 80s we ensured the stability of the nozzles of the TTRD nozzles and controlled by tungsten inserts in a gas flow of 2500-3500 K, I don’t see much difficulty in creating a fairing made of refractory material with a melting point of 3750-3850 degrees C based on zirconium carbide,

For a long time, BBs have been using a structurally disconnected seal jump - an attached seal jump at a point with a meager area. The total mass of thermal protection is much lower than 15%.

There are structural materials and structural solutions to reduce the mass of thermal protection, capable of providing a flight of 5-7 M. The question of the possibility of creating such a product? It is only a matter of financing and time. I believe that this is technically a completely solvable process.

However, only because of the non-sphericity of the Earth and the instability of the apparent horizon line, the root-mean-square error of determining the local vertical can reach 0,1 °. Despite the fact that there are some ways to reduce this error, there is no information on the use of ground-based and sea-based ballistic missile systems of astroinertial navigation to determine the current coordinates of the flight path.

Of course, I am not special in astro correction, I will answer for several points.
To obtain the required firing accuracy for the first time for a ballistic missile (R-29) in the USSR, an azimuthal astrocorrection system was used.

Correction in azimuths, allows you to determine the coordinates in the plane of the trajectory, and what is determined vertically - not in the know.
But back in those years, the standard deviation did not exceed 100 m - in the worst case.

In addition to the basics of gas dynamics, there are modern studies (late 90s), even published in the form of books (authors from the A.F. with its own weight of 980 kg, it had a thermal capacity of “only” 150 kW.

One of the main tasks in the development of TB for space-grade plutonium-238 is to ensure its radiation safety (RB) during normal operation and in case of emergencies at the starting position or uncontrolled descent from a circular orbit (explosion of the launch vehicle at the starting position, fire, aerodynamic heating, impact on the rocky rocks of the Earth, etc.). The criterion for providing RB in the development of thermal blocks for the Mars-96 spacecraft was adopted as the principle of maintaining the tightness of the capsule with plutonium-238 for all types of external influences. The development and design of the Angel TB was carried out in strict accordance with the Principles Relating to the Use of Nuclear Energy Sources in Space, approved by the UN General Assembly in 1992 (N47 / 68 of 12.14.1992/XNUMX/XNUMX), national policy documents governing the handling and work with radioactive substances and current State standards of the Russian Federation.

The Angel thermal block (geometric shape — a cylinder with a diameter of 40 mm and a height of 60 mm) contains a heat shield and thermal insulation from carbon-carbon materials surrounding the ampoule with plutonium-238 dioxide. The ampoule contains about 17 g of plutonium-238 dioxide with an activity of 260 Curie. The ampoule has a two-capsule design. Iridium clad plutonium-238 ceramic tablets made of plutonium-238 dioxide plated with platinum rhodium alloys are used as the material for the body of the inner ampoule. The inner ampoule is sealed by welding and has a device for dumping radiogenic helium, which forms plutonium-XNUMX when α decays. The outer shell is power. It is made of high-strength tantalum-tungsten alloys. After sealing by welding, a multilayer protective coating of refractory materials is applied to its surface. Thus, the design of the radionuclide heat source has reliable double sealing of each capsule, and the ampoule itself is additionally protected from external thermal and shock effects by heat-resistant composite carbon-carbon materials, which have been successfully used in Russian rocket technology for many years.

RTG "Angel" is developed on the basis of TB "Angel". The thermoelectric converter used semiconductor materials based on bismuth-telluride alloy. RTG "Angel" at room temperature generated an electric power of about 200 mWEL at an operating voltage of 15 V.

In Russia, work is also underway on the use of thermionic converters (TEC) in conjunction with radionuclide heat sources based on Pu-238 [6]. The obtained experimental data on the TEC make it possible to create RITEP for space objects with electric power in the range of 30 ... 150 WEL at efficiency 8 ... 10%. When using a two-stage system for converting heat into electricity (TEC + TEB), the efficiency increases to 10 ... 14% for the specified range of electrical power. Generators with a TEC of 75 ... 150 WEL electric power were proposed as an electric power source for the moving Rover trolley in the Leda program [2].

      https://helpiks.org/6-77726.html

That is, the mass of RTG protection - providing non-destruction of the capsule upon departure from the orbit, is 85-87%. Fuel accounts for less than a percent.

For a source of thermal energy for the movement of the Kyrgyz Republic there is no need to provide protection of a similar level - it is enough to have a certain biological protection to ensure operation and maintenance.

It seems to me that 2 main scenarios are possible. 1) The Zircon and Burevestnik complexes indicated in the article do not correspond to the declared characteristics, and are intended to mislead the enemy in order to squander the budget for useless countermeasures, while the real increase in offensive potential will go a different way. There are 2 points in this scenario. First, in conditions of far from absolute parity, the enemy, believing in disinformation, can deliver a preemptive nuclear strike to disrupt the production of such weapons. Why take such a risk without having real assets to guarantee an advantage in the conflict? Second, where is the rebuttal from US military experts? There are many opinions, but officially Washington is only talking about the need to include new weapons in the START treaties. Why, if everything is so obvious? The second scenario - these weapons really exist with the declared performance characteristics. The problem of the power of a nuclear reactor for KR can be solved quite simply - by abandoning radiation protection altogether. This will give the necessary weight and dimensions. Then the subsonic missile was shot from afar, and not flying 20 meters on a fighter ... Yes, the missile will turn out dirty, but it's not a weapon for every day. Their danger lies precisely in the non-standard angles of approach to the continental part of the states, from where no one is waiting for a gift and the missile defense system does not place it accordingly. Even the theoretical possibility of the existence of such weapons should force the enemy to divert serious forces and means to cover secondary areas. You can start from the coast, this will significantly reduce the radioactive contamination of the area, and as for the ocean, Russia, for all the cruelty of such an approach, is not Japan and does not depend on its biological and coastal resources. It is more difficult to argue about Zircon. Indeed, at 6-8 max, heating and energy consumption are growing rapidly. In principle, ablation can be used to combat heating, although I won’t take it into account in terms of dimensions, however, ICBM warheads enter the atmosphere at such speeds and maintain integrity and controllability. As for energy, here's the plug, pushing so much into the caliber case is unrealistic. Either here we are talking about a fundamentally new type of engine, or something is wrong with the sounded TTX.

Once they asked Einstein - how are discoveries made? Einstein replied - everyone knows that this cannot be done, and here comes the one who does not know this and he makes a discovery. Something similar happened with one person who bought a diamond and wanted to cut it into three parts and cut it. He went to many cutting specialists and they all said it was impossible. Once he came across a small shop and saw an old Jew and his student. The old Jew told him - this is of course impossible, but Monya does not know this and he will do it. And Monya did it. In ancient times, everyone was surprised that everyone had bronze swords, and the Sarmatians had steel swords. This, of course, was impossible for the bronzers, but they saw it when the Sarmatians, the Scythians defeated them. They understood why they lost when the bronze was cut with a steel sword. The Germans had no idea how their large tanks penetrated, they could not think about what they did with fire.

And people who are trying to sniff out something about "Dagger" have already been detained for espionage ... the residencies and everything else are targeted.
Only just three years ago, Caliber also became an unpleasant surprise for many subscribers, a month before which any reputable expert would have explained that we could not do this, technologies have been lost, brains have flowed, and so on ... And what is interesting, we they themselves showed it, using it on targets of little significance for such a missile. In order to deter some of the "first disarming" amateurs from the temptations ...
On March 1, we once again showed, let's say, a set of axes.
And I know two things: the first is that for another month, for a year, for five, for ten, it postponed the beginning of military aggression against us, which means that it was right. Second: which of this is real, and which is nav, and what we have not told the surprised audience about - this is not so important. It is important that the time of the "civilized west", which dominated the world for 500 years, is rapidly melting, and the only tasty way out for it is that we do not give it a victorious war to start. He wants and can't wait, but such surprises that deprive him of advantages in entire classes of weapons make him angry and knock him off the rails.

This is what is written in the article dated January 2, 2013 (https://topwar.ru/22653-nemeckaya-torpedo-raketa-barracuda.html) "...The Barracuda submarine missile was first presented on May 17-20, 2005 at the IMDEX exhibition in Singapore. Of course, the developers boast that Barracuda has no equal in its capabilities in the world, and that they are at least 10 years ahead of their American counterparts. At this exhibition, they did not forget to mention again that the new German Barracuda submarine missile is faster, more maneuverable and more accurate than the Shkval and, thanks to its unique homing system, it is capable of intercepting the Shkval and other high-speed torpedoes... "And the flurry is interesting" ...November 29, 1977 anti-submarine complex "Flurry" was adopted by the Navy of the USSR. Initially carried a nuclear warhead of 150 kt, subsequently created an option with a conventional warhead with autonomous control, without homing... "And there is an article about Shkval-2))) (http://politinform.su/oruzhie-i-boevaya-tehnika/30506-novaya-rossiyskaya-torpeda-shkval-20.html)
So why am I all this from 1977 to 2005, how many years have passed? And that same barracuda is not accepted for service, but simply presented. And only a graphic solution. "...To date, several prototypes of an underwater rocket have been manufactured and tested. During these tests, they successfully demonstrated "stable straight and curved trajectories." It is planned to equip Barracuda with both submarines and surface ships... "2013 (https://army-news.ru/2013/01/nemeckaya-raketo-torpeda-barracuda/). Ibid" ...According to unconfirmed reports, the total mass of Barracuda is 110 kg, length 2300 mm, caliber 160 mm, mass of explosives 10 kg, range 1000 m, with a maximum speed the total circulation time is 3,6 seconds, circulation diameter 120 m... The author is "stuck" in "traditional" thinking! And if the screw is unconventional? For example, recall Tesla's idea of obtaining energy from a "physical vacuum"? Enta nuclear power plant on the CR is a receiver that uses the electro-radiant effect ... "vacuum" energy is supplied to the electric motor ... the electric motor rotates propellers of the "propfen" type (propeller "rockets" are well developed at the present time ... The X-101 CR was originally conceived, as a "screw" ... in the states, a "screw" CD was being worked out to replace the "tomahawks" ...). Shirsha should be smart ... unconventionally!

Only one aspect is missed, tests of a new missile defense missile system have been carried out, in Kazakhstan, there are video frames, the rocket has a speed of 5 km / sec., It’s about 17 misses, so there are backlogs, both on guidance, on thermal protection, as well as on overloads, and fuel. I think the exchange of technologies and cooperation in the military-industrial complex of Russia exists.

Until now, one of its key scientific and industrial centers (IRE-Polyus) is located in the city of Fryazino (Moscow region). Given this potential, we can seriously talk about the world leadership of Russia in the creation of laser weapons.
Gapontsev with 95 does not live in Russia, has long been living and working in Massachusetts. They still collect something at the Fryazino branch, which I don’t know for sure, but in the light of Gapontsev’s difficulties with the US authorities, they can transfer it. IRE-Polyus is an enterprise of the international group of companies IPG Photonics Corporation, not Russian.

In my opinion, the answer lies on the surface - the publication of any specifics in the form of the appearance and layout of the rocket will immediately kill the myth of the hypersonic Zircon.
The author was again locked in an armored battleship for a long time, apparently, because on "Zircon" for a long time not only are there pictures, but also models are shown. For example here: http://militaryrussia.ru/blog/topic-718.html
The damned "Zircon" disguises itself as "Brahmos II" and most likely this is it. It will not fly as fast, and not as far as the author dreams (the author dreams, yes, yes - otherwise what will he refute?))), So it is quite possible that he is real, but heavily disguised by disinformation and jingoistic propagandists ((C) Nevozorov, the main Russophobe of all Russia).

The braking temperature of the descent vehicle can reach 6000 degrees. Why is zircon worse? Moreover, the author clearly does not understand the difference between the descent vehicle and the projectile! The task of the descent vehicle is to slow down to zero near the surface, and the projectile to gain maximum speed to the surface! The projectile does not need to slow down !!! Therefore, there is no such braking temperature due to aerodynamics !!! And the author should know that modern heat-insulating materials on descent vehicles have a thickness of only 5 mm and there is no need to have an all-metal construction. It is not necessary to conduct heat or reduce the temperature, just minimize the thermal conductivity.

The author really thinks in categories of 20 - 30 years ago
In 1999, one good magazine specializing in IT technologies wrote that it is impossible to create a compact flash card with a capacity of more than 1GB.
If in 2018 to argue with the scientific data of 1999, it turns out really unrealistic to create memory cards the size of a little finger of a little finger and memory of 85 gigabytes. There are no miracles
And what we have today, these miracles are sold in every communication salon
The same goes for hypersound technology. And a nuclear engine.

Neither aviation, nor astronautics, nor nuclear technologies - nothing has changed there

Well what a stupid thing. It is one thing when it comes to technical or scientific progress. For example, as the appearance of aircraft heavier than air, the invention of an internal combustion engine or a laser. Indeed, such revolutionary breakthroughs do not occur so often. But another evolution of technology. When the internal combustion engine of Lenoir from the 19th century was transformed into the modern internal combustion engine of Veyron 21st. Or, it seems, just 50 years ago, Maiman demonstrated his single-crystal artificial ruby, and now laser welding is an ordinary installation in many metal processing plants (not to mention attempts to use it in the military sphere).
Could not even build a supersonic passenger liner

really? What happened to the Concorde and the Tu-144? They were demoted from the category of SZ liners?

Oh sure. The evolution of technology is not limited to electronics. It also affects materials science, gas dynamics, fuel chemistry, etc. It is enough to compare the power plants of the same F15 and F35. PW135 is almost two times more powerful than its "weave" ancestor. The structural elements used in F22 made it possible to obtain an effect in which not only the wing planes, but the entire fuselage as a whole, are responsible for the lift. As a result, the F-22 received excellent aerodynamic characteristics. And you say there is nothing in the LTH.
            2. What happened to the CRT and Tu-144? Do many supersonic airliners fly nowadays?

the issue of flights of NW liners does not lie in the plane of technology, but in the plane of commercial success. No need to compare warm to soft.

the author is far from a theoretical physicist, especially in the theory of high-temperature media, nuclear physics and materials science; I’ll say on my own behalf that back in 93, as a student at an aerospace department, I proposed something similar to ion cavitation in a gas environment for thermal protection of fairings; but then the idea was accepted by the masters skeptically, or maybe it seemed so to me; I will note to the author that everything that is said officially is said for a reason, but possibly for the benefit of the author himself; and “zircon” reached 8M when tested at extreme conditions in the stratosphere, nothing surprising; if you study the composition of the gas at these altitudes, you will understand why I remembered my past; The Russian people are characterized by high strength of spirit, even when starving we do not stop believing in our dream; therefore, even in the 90s our scientists did not cease to be such

Where are they the best from? Probably all the conditions occurring in the post-Soviet space, and then in Russia, contributed to this. I’m not at all surprised when they show and say on YouTube that a nuclear physicist kicks a woman while accelerating, just because she didn’t give up her place on the road. Of course, this should not be generalized, but where does continuity come from when the generation gap is already obvious. Or is it worth describing all the conditions favorable to the development of science and those that exist in reality. Scientists who swear instead of simple justifications are already an indicator.

Ablation evaporation is what was previously called thermionic emission of a material.T. That is, there is a very high parametric effect on the body, as a result of which the atomic-molecular destruction of the structure of matter occurs. Many brilliant scientists have discussed this. Therefore, these processes cannot be denied. The only thing is that the surface of a rocket moving in an elastic medium at ultra-high speeds, these thermoemission processes occur over the entire surface, and not in a linear manner as with the dispersion of materials. Therefore, I completely agree with the author that the incredible is obviously expressed in the open embellishment of achievements.

Today we need to look at problems more broadly!!! In the USSR, as a rule, such developments were entrusted to two competing “firms”: whose one turned out to be better, that one went into series, and that’s all the regalia. Yes, it required crazy resources, but they did it quickly and well... Now only one developer receives the order (like who allegedly won the tender), and the role of the scientific director (in particular, as an independent controller) is increasing every year, hmmm -m, understated, clamped down. To the same chief designer, a competent scientific supervisor is like a bone in his throat - he asks a lot of unpleasantly corrosive questions. The watchful eye of party control is no longer there, and the exorbitant salaries of top leaders encourage fraud. There is also no reason for the lower classes to try to get shishi without butter. So it turns out that there is no incentive to do it quickly; it is much more profitable to pull the cat by the tail. And it seems that we have simply forgotten how to do well during the years of stultifying stay in the oil and gas “needle” (((It is clear that the defense industry is the engine of progress, and it needs to be revived by adding more work (how not to throw money away is a separate question ) So let there be as many as three swords;))) PS A false trail is again also needed.
