The anti-aircraft missile system of the ship-based (ZRK) "Polyment-Redut" will be put into service in the first half of next year, according to TASS with reference to an informed source in the Russian defense industry.

Media: Poliment-Redoubt air defense missile systems will be adopted in the first half of 2019

According to the agency’s source, by the end of this year, it is planned to complete the entire complex of tests of the Polyment-Redut air defense missile system on board the 20380 project corvette. At the same time, firing is planned both at air and at sea targets. After completing the entire test cycle, the complex will be put into service in the first half of 2019. Earlier, the air defense system passed a test cycle on the main frigate of the 22350 “Admiral Gorshkov” project, the tests were considered successful.

According to the plans of the Navy command, in the future, the Polyment-Redut air defense system will be put into service with all new and modernized ships of the corvette and frigate classes. In addition, the complex will be installed on the Admiral Kuznetsov aircraft-carrying cruiser and on the Admiral Nakhimov and Peter the Great heavy nuclear-missile cruisers after repair and modernization.

Particularly encouraging is the recent report that there will be a long-range missile system in the composition of Polement-Redoubt: up to 400 km ... Probably there is an opportunity to adapt the launch to 40N6.

Are you sure that this fool will fit there? So long ago, the dreamers that Project 22350 can carry 32 48N6, or 128 9M96, or half-hours with something 9M100, have already ended. Everything rested on the fact that 48N6 would not fit in stupidly, but 40N6 would be later.
It seems to me that we are talking about a new missile based on 9M96M, or something like SM-6, we finished

As far as we know, this is a marine analog of the S-400. There were some problems with the location station. Have you won? If so, then such a club in the middle of the sea - wow ... Yes, and on ships relatively small.

No, the comrade wrote everything correctly, namely C400. As part of this air defense system was supposed to be 9M96 missiles, but due to the fact that it didn’t work, they took her into the S350, which was not accepted for service because the missile does not want to go anywhere.

Several years ago there was news that the director of Almaz, the lead developer of the S-400 and S-350, was removed from Polyment-Redoubt for putting all his efforts into bringing the development of the S-400 to the detriment of other projects. I do not know how much this is true, but he was "left" from his post.

There is no marine C-400 in nature yet.
IMHO therefore delays in the repair of the cruiser Moscow (this complex is planned there).

Not only a problem in the C-400 messed up. There is an opinion that they are going to stick in Nakhimov’s numbed analogue of C-500, although I personally have big doubts about this, as there isn’t even a land analogue for now.

And how do they differ ...

3K96-2 "Polyment-Redut" is a shipborne air defense missile system, it has four types of anti-aircraft missiles - short-range (9M100E), medium (9M96E) and long (9M96E2 and 9M96E2-1), unified with the ground-based air defense system S-350 "Vityaz" ... The new generation missiles are distinguished by very high maneuverability. The frigates of the Admiral Gorshkov class are equipped with a full set of Polyment-Redut missiles (UVP 3S.97, radars and control systems), they are also in service with the corvettes of the project 20380 (with the exception of the lead ship "Guarding"). The frigates of project 22350 are armed with four UVP 3S.97 with a total of 32 missile cells.
Almaz-Antey demonstrated these missiles at the MAKS-2017 air show. Long-range variant 9M96E2-1 is designed to destroy modern manned and unmanned aerial vehicles, weight 598 kg, warhead weight 24 kg, TPK length 5,608 m, width 0,42 m, firing range from 2,5 to 120 km, damage height from 0,005 to 30 km, maximum target speed 4800 m / s.
Option 9M96E2 is also designed to defeat airborne and surface targets, weight 449 kg, warhead 24 kg, missile length 5,35 meters, width 0,273 m, feathering range 0,676 m, firing range from 2,5 to 120 km, damage height from 0,005 up to 30 km, maximum target speed of 4800 m / s.
        The 9M96E medium-range missile version has a mass of 370 kg, a warhead of 24 kg, a length of 4,522 m, a diameter of 0,273 m, a tail range of 0,676 meters, a firing range of 1,5 to 40 km, a strike height of 0,005 to 20 km, and a maximum target speed of 1000 m /with.
9M100E short-range missiles are designed to combat high-precision weapons, including anti-ship and anti-radar missiles and other unmanned and manned aircraft, can be placed on ships of small displacement. The mass of the rocket is 140 kg, the warhead is 14 kg, the length is 3,165 m, the diameter is 0,2 m, the feathering range is 0,536 m. The firing range is from 0,5 to 15 km, the height of destruction from 0,005 to 8 km, the maximum target speed is 1000 m / s. hi

At 20380, the completeness of the air defense system has been cut down - the Redut air defense system itself is, but the Polyment air defense system does not. Instead of them, "Furke-2" is used.

Basically - with power, the radar at the Barrier is rather weak.
That is, it can do a lot, sees in both centimeter and decimeter, and in the passive mode, and can interfere, but the power allows you to see the target with ESR 1 sq m at 75 km and point. For a corvette it’s normal, for something more - it’s not enough

Because it sounds more convincing. I believe the military will be forced to sign an acceptance certificate, having promised to finalize the rocket afterwards, but they will throw it. The military understands this and in every possible way delay the inevitable, but they will not be allowed to do this indefinitely.

This is not a marine analogue of the S-400. It still does not seem to exist in nature. Unless only in the drawings. The S-400 is capable of using missiles of the 48M6 family in addition to the 9N96 family of missiles, engaging 4 TPKs instead of one standard one.
