The Ministry of Defense of Serbia received the first light multipurpose helicopter Airbus Helicopters Н145М. The transfer ceremony took place at the Airbus Helicopters plant in Dunauvert (Germany), the Serbian side was represented by Defense Minister Alexander Vulin, the bmpd blog reports.
The H145M helicopter is a military modification of the H2002 helicopter mass-produced with the 145 year. Serbs have become the third after the Germans and Thais customers of this model. The total take-off weight of the 3700 helicopter kg, it is equipped with two Safran Arriel 2E turboshaft engines and a Helionix digital avionics complex.
In total, under the contract, Serbia will receive nine Airbus Helicopters H145M military multipurpose helicopters, of which six will go to the Serbian Air Force, and three will replenish Aviation Ministry of Internal Affairs of the country. Four helicopters for the Air Force will be equipped with an Airbus HForce weapon system, including a helmet-mounted sight and the possibility of using 12.7 mm machine guns, a 20 mm gun, 70 mm unguided and adjustable missiles, and, potentially, air-to-surface and air-guided missiles - air. "
The helicopter transferred to Serbia is the first of six produced in the interests of the country's air force; in December, it is planned to deliver two helicopters for the Serbian Interior Ministry. Delivery of all nine helicopters must occur before the end of 2019 of the year.
