WINGS

.... To be continued.

Note:
Some may argue: "cartoons again," again, "Americans are fooling their heads," well, and so on.
That's right. But there are several "BUT", more on that later.

The manufacturer provides information (photos, technical data, etc.) only by personal request.
Request sent, no response yet (10 days have passed).
Perhaps too much information, or they were embarrassed by the reason for the appeal:
for "Military Review", to Russia, for the purpose of preliminary acquaintance and search for possible methods of counteraction.

Without touching the "filling", purely on the glider. More like futuristic delirium at the expense of functionality. A real weapon is beautiful precisely for its impeccable rationality, where there is no place for anything superfluous and ostentatious. I am very pleased with such developments of our "sworn friends", let them spend money and time. Yes, and we are good - smart learns from their mistakes and wise from strangers. Let's be wise.

but why put piston engines there? and

we had the same developments, and someone wrote about this already.
      LVS program (Easy-to-play attack aircraft)

T-720 is one of the projects; in total, 43 aircraft variants were developed. All of them were similar in aerodynamic layout, but differed in weights, speeds and destinations (attack aircraft, training, combat training). Weight ranged from 6 to 16 tons. Most aircraft have a tandem-wing triplane layout and an unstable layout. Because of this, it is necessary to have an SDE (remote control). 40-50% of the weight falls on composites. The triplane design was dictated by several considerations.
      1. You must have good handling at all speed ranges
      2. When using the SDE, ailerons can work like elevons, and you can change the flight altitude without changing the angle of inclination of the GF (fuselage) to the ground, which is very useful for an attack aircraft (Actually round the terrain without changing the sight)
      3. The most important thing is combat survivability. When shooting a PGO or stabilizer or part of a wing, there is a chance to return to the airfield.
Armament 1 cannon from 20 mm to 57 mm cannon in the lower tower (for the modification of 16 tons) which could spin in all directions. The option GSh-6-30 and even GSh-6-45 were considered.
There were folding consoles, for use in small caponiers for the Mig-21, a salvage cabin, etc.
This aircraft won the LCH competition.
Specifically, the T-720 had a take-off weight of 7-8 tons. Speed up to 650 km.h. Weapons + kerosene 50% of the weight. 2 TV-3-117 engines ((2200 hp each) are separated by a 25 mm titanium plate) working on one shaft. The screw could be in the ring, to reduce the EPR. At that time, a screw (6 blades) was made in Stupino, which could calmly hold several hits of a 20 mm shell. Its analogue is on the An-70. Turboprop engine dictated by the following considerations
      1. Small (relative to reactive) fuel consumption.
      2. Low noise
      3. “Cold” exhaust.
      4. Used on almost all Mi and Ka helicopters
Cabin from Su-25 UB (for training aircraft from L-39) Kili from Su-27.

The SM-27 variants show what the amers faced: an aircraft for direct support and strikes against ground targets in the face of complete suppression of air defense and the destruction of enemy aircraft. In the aggression against Libya, air strikes against "ordered" targets showed that modern supersonic fighter-bombers too often did not hit targets, although there was no air defense. For the "war" (aggression) with the "third world" countries (Iran, Syria), the United States and its NATO "friends" need an aircraft to strike at disparate and demoralized army units and to conduct subsequent "counter-guerrilla" actions. Demand creates supply.

"Fighter" ??? Laughed) This is a light strike aircraft. It is probably not correct to call him an attack aircraft. there is no information about its combat survivability, and therefore it is not clear whether this aircraft can work on the battlefield as an attack aircraft. However, it can be assigned the task of destroying enemy helicopters and UAVs.

I am sure they laughed at the "Berkut" the same, but having learned the performance characteristics they began to admire.

There is no particular futurism. In most, the backward sweep wing, which was tested by the Americans in the 80s on the X-29 and the Russians in the 90s on the Su-47. In addition, the 6th generation of fighters is likely to be unmanned.
