Hodges: Ukraine will definitely win Russia, but in 30 years

Former Commander of US Land Forces in Europe, Lieutenant General Ben Hodges gave Ukraine advice on how to succeed in confronting Russia. According to Hodges, in order for Ukraine to resist Russia, decades must pass, writes the Ukrainian edition Apostrof.
As Hodges stated, at present Ukraine is in such conditions when diplomatic efforts do not produce results and a military solution to the problem is impossible. It’s necessary to resist Russia, but who said it would be quick and easy, he noted. Ukraine needs to follow the path of the United States and allies, who have been waiting for 40 for the years of “liberating Germany when it is united,” and countries like Ukraine, Lithuania, Latvia and Estonia were able to secede from the USSR, and the Warsaw Pact ceased to exist. Ukraine needs patience for decades to defeat Russia.
At the moment, according to Hodges, Ukraine needs to focus on the "sustainability" of its own population, develop trust in government institutions and achieve transparency in government spending, otherwise Russia through Ukrainian corruption will affect the country's economy.
Earlier, Hodges called on NATO to speak with Russia from a position of strength.
