Pioneer of the Russian submarine fleet S.N. Vlasyev

15
One of the founders of the Russian underwater fleet Sergei Nikolaevich Vlasyev was born on May 31, 1880 in a noble family. At the end of the Naval Cadet Corps, a course at the Naval Training and Rifle Command and the Mine Officer Class in 1903, the young officer was assigned to serve in Port Arthur for the Yenisei mine layer, who was destined to sink from the demolition on his own mines on the second day Russian-Japanese war. In this disaster, Vlasyev was seriously injured, and transferred to the battleship “Peresvet”, then to the squadron battleship “Tsesarevich”, and after that to the “Victory”, in which he participated in the trawling of the Port Arthur raid, repeatedly participating in the production of mines barriers in the most dangerous and time-consuming way - "from the rafts." On the night of December 21, 1904, not wanting to share the humiliation of the surrender of Port Arthur, S. N. Vlasyev managed to break into the Chinese port of Chifu on a small mine boat. Then, after changing clothes, Vlasyev proceeded through the territory of China and on December 31, 1904. reached the rate of commander in chief. February 18-26, 1905 S. N. Vlasyev took part in the battle of Mukden. For the valor shown by the defense of Port Arthur, in addition to the Order of St. Anne of the 4th degree, Sergey Nikolaevich was awarded the Order of St. Stanislav of the 3rd degree, the Order of St. Anna of the 3rd degree, as well as the Order of St. Vladimir of the 4th degree.

In the spring of 1906, S. N. Vlasyev is called into the newly created training squad of submariners. He becomes the commander of the submarine "Mackrel", and in the year 1907 takes the submarine "Pescari".

At the end of 1907 of the year, responding to criticism of the idea of creating a submarine fleet coming from a number of senior naval officers, Vlasyev delivered a report “Report of the submarine commander Peskar about voyages and maneuvers,” which gave serious reasons for the further development of the submarine fleet. The ideas expressed by Vlasyev in the report found support in the person of the most prominent Russian shipbuilder, academician A. N. Krylov, and in 1907, he became the commander of the newest Shark submarine, taking direct part in designing its mine weapons. S. N. Vlasyev owned a number of developments in methods of conducting underwater combat and group use of submarines in fleet combat operations.

During the First World War, commanding the "Shark", Vlasyev made several independent military operations. The first attack of the Shark occurred on August 26 of 1914. The submarine torpedoed in the direction of approaching enemy destroyers, which cooled their ardor and made them abandon the attack. In 1915, on the orders of the Baltic Fleet Commander, S. N. Vlasyev was awarded the Order “For Excellent Patrol Service in the Battle Area”, after which he was appointed Commander of the Fifth Division of the Baltic Fleet Submarines. In August 1915 S.N. Vlasyev was transferred to the Black Sea Fleet, to the transport fleet, and in the 1916 year - to the 1 of the Baltic naval crew.

Pioneer of the Russian submarine fleet S.N. VlasyevIn the Civil War, Vlasyev joined the Volunteer Army operating in southern Russia. Since November, 1918 has led the maritime defense of a separate Odessa volunteer brigade. In January 1919g. in Odessa, in the course of the formation of the second detachment of river vessels announced by the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of the South of Russia, the author of the idea, captain of the 2 rank S.N. From February to June, Vlasyev was busy completing and re-equipping the vessels of the newly formed detachment. After the river detachment was disbanded, and a division of river boats was created instead, Captain Vlasyev assumed command of the French destroyers Worried and Captain Saken, after which he switched to the battleship General Alekseev. In July, 1920. S.N. Vlasyev was promoted to captain 1 rank.

In November, 1920. Vlasyev, being a member of the Union of Russian Naval Officers, left Crimea, finding himself in Constantinople, and in November 1922, the captain went to his last great transition: he led the Russian minesweepers and tugs to the port of Marseilles, requisitioned by the French for debts. In 1923, Vlasyev settled in Paris, where he got a job as a taxi driver. After graduating from the Great Patriotic War, he managed to build a bridge to Russia - he received USSR citizenship. Russian naval officer S. N. Vlasyev died abroad in 1955, and was buried in the famous Parisian cemetery of Russian émigrés Saint-Genevieve-des-Bois.

It is a pity that a lot of smart, educated and honest people were forced to end their life in a foreign land, but how much they could do for the benefit of our country.

A person may be worthy, but no submariner. Or rather, there were no Russian submarines. While the Germans were sinking ships by the thousands, he was only able to "torpedo in the direction of the approaching enemy destroyers."
Once again I am convinced that under tsarism (unlimited power of the aristocracy) and its successor Putinism (unlimited power of the bureaucracy), the country turns into a technological and military squalor.

I agree with you. The "best" submarines in the world "bars" did not sink anyone (except for the "Panther" in 1919, the British destroyer - the red fleet), "the best" battleships "Sevastopol" did not go out to sea, they were not allowed to fight (! Only gunboats and destroyers fought. And here in all directions, Nelsons. Can it be time to write the truth?

By the way, I want to remind you that when some of the Officers remained to serve the Fatherland, the other part first called for the invaders from the Entente, and then dumped them over the hill. Taking into account how much Russian blood these "patriots" shed - they didn't even have the strength to put a bullet in their forehead!

The Entente (the military-political bloc of Russia, England and France) was created against the Triple Alliance (the military-political bloc of Germany, Austria-Hungary and Italy) ...
"Friends" came to the rescue ...

Fighting with the Bolshevik hydra, the Whites fought for Russia.

A soldier-officer should serve the Motherland in the first place, and when there is no single power in the country .., then take power into your own hands and avoid civil strife (that is, a civil war)!
When there is no single power, then there is no order ...

Where was the future "White Guard" when 30 Latvian riflemen almost without exception went over to Lenin's side in the spring of the 000th?
      http://rus.ruvr.ru/2011/12/06/61645062.html

They came up with here: "White", "Red", but there were also "Greens" ("Beat the reds until they turn white, beat the white ones until they turn red!") And they all fought for Mother Russia.

It is impossible for the ARMY to follow the lead of politicians ..., MAHimum: to prevent bloody lawlessness during the internal "showdown" in the country ...

The interventionists from the Entente are the then Democrats fighting for the freedom of Russia ... laughing

I don’t know about the others, I didn’t notice any reason for special piety. I did not understand what the "pioneering" of Mr. Vlasyev was. The fact that under the leadership of Academician A.N. Krylov he worked on the project "Sharks",
taking a direct part in the design of its mine weapons.
(a kind of streamlined wording, which can be supported by anything, from complete and independent development to drinking tea in the presence of designers). Well, his much more fruitful activity in organizing the war with his own people, as well as his participation in the French looting of his own fleet, should remain on his conscience.
