HATF-9 short-range missile tested successfully in PakistanPakistan successfully launched another Hatf-9 short-range missile (Hatf-9) test missile capable of carrying a nuclear charge and hitting targets with high accuracy up to 60 km. This was reported today by the local newspaper "Dawn".

Asif Ali Zardari, President of the Republic, and Yusuf Raza Gilani, Prime Minister, congratulated the scientists and the military who ensured the successful testing of Hatf-9, the Itar-Tass news agency reported the Pakistani media.

Earlier in May, the Pakistani army tested the Khatf-3 ballistic missile. 25 April, the country also launched its new modification "Hatf-5".
Recently, neighboring Pakistan and India have been actively increasing their missile potential, seeking to surpass each other in the number of both tactical missiles and medium-range and long-range missiles. Both South Asian powers are also intensively increasing the number of their nuclear charges.
