Mary Dejevski, a columnist for the British edition of The Independent, gives material that contains many questions for the investigation into the case of the so-called Skripale poisoning. The article noted that the hype about this has been going on since March, but so far British society has not been informed about what really happened in Salisbury.
В
article Dejevski noted that all the arguments of Scotland Yard seem to be of little substance and unlikely.
A British journalist wonders whether a nerve-paralytic combat substance was actually applied to the Violinists. The question was asked in connection with the accusations from London against the Russian special services. In the British press, which is difficult to suspect of sympathy for Moscow, they note that the discrepancies are obvious: if it was the CID, which, according to Scotland Yard, was used by professionals from the Russian military intelligence, then why did Skrypali remain alive?
Did this question interest anyone in Britain ...
Mary Dejevski:
The only irrefutable fact in this matter is the scene of the action - Salisbury. Everything else is speculative.
Dejevski notes that she was initially discouraged by the fact of the accusation against Russia almost a few hours after what happened in Salisbury. If the special services were aware of the interference of specific individuals from Russia, then why wasn’t the crime prevented? If nothing was known, then questions arise to the British counterintelligence and to the fact, on what basis were the accusations against Russia immediately poured?
Mary Dejevski:
Surprisingly, today everyone refers to Bellingcat. What is this structure that works faster than British detectives? She, it turns out, put them all in her belt. Although some time ago, Bellingcat was associated in the UK with amateurishness. The oddities are visible, because suddenly this structure dramatically increased the budget and gained access to communications with overseas services.
The British journalist in his article expresses bewilderment about the logic of official London:
They are doing everything to expose this Russian GRU to a bunch of losers and a lack of money, but immediately declare the widespread involvement of this department. Even accused of attacks on WADA and the OPCW.
Mary Dejevski:
All this looks like the fact that Russia is trying to withdraw outside the zone of access to information of the same Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons. But tell me, if the accusations fell on you, wouldn't you be interested in how the investigation is progressing? Russia does not say anything, just continuing to pour charges. But the only person who died from the use of CID, as our police say, is Don Sturgess (a drug addict from Salisbury - note “IN”). Where are all the other members of this drama? Where, after all, is the surviving policeman who discovered Skrippal and his daughter? Is it even possible to agree with the police’s argument that the headquarters of the Russian intelligence service will send its best cadres to carry out such an incompetent operation? I live in Britain, I am a British journalist, and I, as a person, are agitated by these questions and oddities.
