Special Forces of the Pacific Fleet improve their skills in dealing with underwater saboteurs

In Kamchatka, at the base station of the brigade of the ships guarding the water area of the troops and forces in northeastern Russia, swimmers of a special-purpose squad to combat underwater sabotage forces and means (PDSS) worked out anti-diversion-sabotage defense tasks.

In the course of training, combat swimmers performed firing from a special SPP-1 underwater pistol, worked diving descents to various depths and elements of underwater orientation, as well as searching for and neutralizing possible sabotage means of a conditional enemy in the area of ships based.

According to the captain of the 2 special rank Maxim Shinkevich, the special task detachment commander for PDSS, due to the growing challenges facing divers, the number of hours spent under water per month has increased by more than 30 hours.

It is noteworthy that the divers of the PDSS detachment repeatedly had to interact with the Emergencies Ministry and the Internal Affairs Directorate of the Kamchatka Territory, assisting them in solving specific tasks.

        Of course. One such combat swimmer - FIG knows which ship can sink. A couple of Mini nuclear charges (and there are such) were fixed on the bottom of the aircraft carrier - and there is no aircraft carrier! Something like this.
        And they need pistols - only for protection from their own kind - combat floating Homo Sapienso. laughing

            Well, firstly - there are special underwater vehicles, such as torpedoes - just a screw in front - allowing you to move under water at a slow speed. Yes
            And secondly - I brought an aircraft carrier for example, it can be any ship. Yes
            And at 3 - and what - do the ships never stand still? (Pearl Harbor) Yes But oil and other platforms - float or what?
            So please do not laugh. If you do not agree, explain to me - WHY do we need combat swimmers? in your opinion! To me - nothing more - nothing comes to mind - except for - the mining of oil platforms and enemy ships. Yes
            For all the rest - peaceful tasks - there are simple ones - Divers. Yes
            Or am I wrong again? angry laughing

      PDSS is not a unit of the Navy Special Forces. This is a typical mistake of journalists to record fighters ABOUT PDSS (now SPN BPSS) in the maritime special forces of the GRU / special forces of the Navy laughing ... Another thing is that in unofficial communication the commandos called themselves differently: "Maychan", "from May" (MCI on the Black Sea), "Potekhintsy", "sailboats" (MCI on the Baltic), "Halulaytsy" (MCI on the Pacific Fleet), etc. .P. With Osnaz, the story is more interesting. If you mean the radio and radio-technical intelligence units, then they are also not the special forces of the Navy. And if you mean the fighters of the second or fourth companies in the OMRP of the special forces of the Navy, then they used to be really considered osnaz men, and not special forces. But since the mid-80s, if I am not mistaken, their VUS has changed, and they also became special forces. I think the recently published book Dum spiro spero. The top secret GRU special forces: scout divers of the Navy's Special Intelligence Service ”(http://dss.army.lv) will help you get reliable information about the USSR and RF naval special forces.

        when underwater special forces appeared in the USSR;
        how many OMRPs were in the USSR and remained in Russia;
        what is the difference between the Special Forces of the Navy and PDSS;
        why are marine commandos not scuba divers and not marines;
        how do they become scout divers;
        which ultra-small submarines are armed with combat swimmers;
        who guarded Gorbachev in Malta;
        how it was planned to evacuate the Family from Russia;
        can maritime commandos fight on land;
        where scout divers fought;
        how the global thermonuclear war will begin;
        whether nuclear facilities and naval bases are protected from terrorist and sabotage attacks.
        My webpage

        I went deeper again, turned on the sonar direction finder and swam, maintaining a depth of eight meters to the gathering place of the group. The group commander has a sonar beacon, and we gather around it. We distribute according to the bunch (it’s easier to swim under water), and, sitting on the tugs, we sail in a given course. All actions, our manipulations are literally to the touch. We are only talking about an eel submarine communication system, helping to ensure teamwork.

        And the thought is spinning in my head: is it really war? This is a serious matter. We have a complete combat kit, and we will do everything to fulfill the order.

        And then what? Going to give up? After all, our missiles will strike at us ... Damn two! Russians do not give up. Nothing, more than one arrogant Yankee will leave for the next world from a grenade, a bullet and a knife of a Soviet scout diver. All the same, to die - it’s better to give life more expensive.

        Here is the shore of a given area. A hand on a weapon, the second does its job: the tug is unfastened, the container is pulled up, you can remove the mask. With your head out above the water, we look around and quietly begin to act.

        But what is it? Three flares from the shore soared into the night sky: red and two green. This is a conditional signal of the commander of our unit!

        Fuck you, well you! Again just a teaching. Well, it turns out we’ll wait a little longer ...

    Good news! The fleet comes to life. At one time there was a special forces unit on Russky Island, they spoiled our blood, All the garrison services were on their ears, even the VOKHR was sober, but all the planes in the parks were "destroyed", the ATB duty officer with the entire service was eliminated. We got all the OS in full. According to rumors, this unit was dispersed in the 90s.

      I agree, all this very much resembles a dramatization, despite the fact that BARE, as far as I remember, is accepted in the USA as the main costume for cats (I can be mistaken because this is from advertising). Foreign equipment for piece specialists is not a problem, it should be comfortable and reliable and for 100 people there can be no problem at all. That’s for sure, they called Holulay people in jargon. In 1990, there were exercises, 8 saboteurs blew up 6 submarines in Strelok Bay. Moreover, the shift, which intervened that night on the shift, was warned of the attack. Of the 8 saboteurs, only one was discovered when he jumped to the pier. It can be seen that some garbage with equipment has happened. Well, like, they destroyed him (conditionally). And no one else saw.
