14 and last in the series. 22460 project watchdog laid at Almaz

19
At the Almaz shipyard in St. Petersburg 4, September 2018, an official groundbreaking ceremony was held for the border patrol ship of the 22460 project (cipher “Hunter”), timed to the 85 anniversary of the shipbuilding company. The ship became the 14 guard ship of the 22460 project, and, apparently, will be the last unit in the series, the blog bmpd reports.

14 and last in the series. 22460 project watchdog laid at Almaz

The ship is being built in the interests of the Coast Guard of the Border Guard Service of the FSB and is the third ship built by Almaz Shipbuilding Company PJSC to be stationed at Novorossiysk. According to unofficial information, the Border Guard Service of the Federal Security Service of Russia is not very satisfied with the characteristics of the 22460 project, therefore the ship based on Almaz is will be the last in the series. Instead of the 22460 project ships, the construction of border guard patrol ships of the 2016 project (code “Svetlyak”) in a modernized form has been resumed since 10410.

The ships of the 22460 project are designed to protect the maritime border, territorial waters and the continental shelf, as well as for rescue operations, environmental monitoring and disaster relief. The ship’s armament is one 30-mm automatic six-barreled artillery mount and two 12,7-mm machine guns. Technically, it is possible to deploy launchers of the Uran anti-ship missiles and the A-220M art installations.

On "Svetlyak" our diesel engines PJSC "Zvezda". Armament is more powerful. In the USSR, 40 units were made. They have proven themselves quite well. With appropriate modernization, it will occupy a worthy niche. good

Fireflies are faster than 22460, more maneuverable, better armed, lighter (375 tons instead of 650), cheaper, very well proven .....

Instead of ships of project 22460, the construction of border patrol ships of project 2016 (code "Svetlyak") has been resumed since 10410

These two projects cannot be opposed. "Hunter" is larger and has an air component: a helicopter or a UAV. And "Firefly" - as it was rightly said, a reliable, inexpensive workhorse

Well, here you are wrong. The last "dozens" were built without 76mm cannons, replacing them with the AK-630. So the weapons will remain the same.

        Project 22460 AK 630, 2 - Korda. Project 10410 2 -AK 630. 2 KPVT. 14 MANPADS Needle.
You are absolutely right, 76 mm art. installation removed. In different series, different weapons, but we must remember that they were equipped with 2 mm TA. hi

2 "blowtorches" were on the previous series of "fireflies".
The current series has been reduced in armament even more: only the bow AK-630M is left.

What were you guided by when removing the second installation?

Apparently they decided that one "blowtorch" would be enough to arrest the violator. On the Far East, the border guards with the old 30-mm AK-230 double-barreled gun managed to sink a 100-meter dry cargo ship.
And at the stern there were boats for inspection groups.

Did the story with Chinese diesels lead to a logical outcome?

The story of imported UAVs and an 8-year delay with the Ka-226 led to a logical result.

According to unofficial information, the Border Guard Service of the FSB of Russia is not very satisfied with the characteristics of the project 22460, so the ship laid down on the Almaz will be the last in the series.

According to unofficial information The main claim to 22460 does not apply to the ship itself, but to the actual absence of a helicopter or UAV based on it.
The UAV planned for the ship was covered by sanctions.
And the first two ship Ka-226Ts were delivered to the customer only on March 30, 2017 - eight (!) Years after the delivery of the lead ship, project 22460. belay
This is how FSB orders are carried out in our "totalitarian state". laughing

Even the Lord God is mistaken, and Joseph Vissarionovich was quite a man to himself, with all the pluses and minuses. And now a minute of humor. In the words of my friend "experienced moreman" -Military doctrine of the Navy in case of a global war
        - In 30 minutes, release everything that flies and have time to sink before a retaliatory strike wink

In every joke there is a share of jokes. smile
The funny thing is that the meaning of the present naval doctrine is just this: in case of a big war, provide half an hour of life for the SSBN.

I wonder what engines are planned. And then with such problems you will soon have to think about auxiliary sailing weapons.

This PSKR has a displacement of only 630 tons. So a diesel engine can stand up from the "star".

And on "fireflies" since the Soviet times diesel "stars" from "Zvezda" have been put.
