I did not understand the principle by which the review was compiled. Light / wheeled tanks, infantry fighting vehicles, armored personnel carriers mixed and selectively. Not a word of the author’s text.

I see - all light armored vehicles licked the concept of our armored personnel carrier.
And all modern western tanks are completely muffled with BMP-1/2, and so much so - that if you substitute a tower on the BMP -1/2 tower from Abrams - it will look like Abrams, substitute the tower of Leclerc - it will look like Leclerc. )))

Personally, it seems to me that so soon the designers will return to the old, almost a century old, idea (in the second half of the 20s of the twentieth century it was the most "squeak of fashion") - to make wheeled-tracked tanks / armored vehicles. And I think it would be interesting at this stage of technology development.
Moreover, now it is more than realistic to embody the ideas of the projects of Christie (M.1932) and Antonov (KT, aka A-40) - about flying tanks. Unless we do not need the flight itself in the sky (there are evil Needles, Stingers, Armor, Patriots and S-400), it is much more interesting to make a resettable ekranoplan module. The screen effect is more in line with modern realities - let's flyэnyk-nowэn'ko ", 5-10 meters from the ground, but quickly. For ATGMs, this is a completely abnormal target, there will not even be any time to capture it, and they are not designed for such speeds. For air defense systems, it is also difficult (very low, in fact, above ground), and again, non-core (plus, air defense systems are traditionally an order of magnitude or even two inferior to ATGMs in power, because an airplane / helicopter is, excuse me, not an armored vehicle, very few of anti-aircraft missiles generally have the principle hit-to-kill, most often limiting itself to the usual close detonation with a directed cloud of debris, from which even very old armored personnel carriers are protected from).
Yes, I fantasize, but many outstanding weapons were born out of bold fantasies.

BMP-3 features a torsion bar suspension with hydraulic telescopic shock absorbers
The most common type of suspension of tracked vehicles at the moment is the difference from what or whom. On the BMP - 1/2 is the same.
