MMWT (Modern Medium Weight Tank - a modern tank of the middle category by weight) is the fruit of cooperation between Indonesia and Turkey. So far, the car bears the temporary names Kaplan (Turkish tiger) or Harimau Hitam (Indonesian black tiger). The purpose of the development of the MMWT platform is to create MBT that best suits the requirements of Indonesia and other countries in the region. The first prototype was manufactured by FNSS in Turkey, while the second was made by the Indonesian RT Pindad. The tank was shown at a military parade in Indonesia in October 2017.
