The Military Academy of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation is a unique educational institution by global standards, with its own, nearly two hundred year old history.
Founded in 1832, under Emperor Nicholas I, the academy produced thousands of officers during its work, many of whom subsequently entered their names in the military history of Russia. Surprisingly, the fact was that the French brigadier general, Baron Heinrich Jomini, who fought in Napoleon’s army, initiated the creation of the Academy of the General Staff.
Despite all the pirouettes with which the history of Russia was rich, the Military Academy of the General Staff was, is and will be an institution, from the walls of which come commanders whose highest goal is to serve their Motherland and protect it.
At present, not only senior and senior officers of the Armed Forces, but also leaders and officials of the state and executive authorities of the Russian Federation, enterprises and institutions of the military-industrial complex, as well as foreign officers are trained at the Academy.
The crew of the TV channel Zvezda first visited the most closed educational institution in Russia and was allowed to shoot in the most secret places of the Military Academy of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation.
