Minsk wheel tractor plant presented at the Army-2018 forum a proven truck MZKT-500200, reports Rossiyskaya Gazeta.
The car is already well known, but for Belarusian foreigners it remains a surprise.
The MZKT-500200 truck was created based on the Soviet GAZ-66, which at one time was perhaps the most popular on-board vehicle of the Soviet army. Its benefits were simplicity, ease of operation and maintenance. The machine was operated without any complaints for decades in all regions of the USSR, as well as in many foreign countries.
But the time of this workhorse has passed. In Russia, the new versions of this car was not created. But in Belarus did. For a number of parameters, the new truck has surpassed its predecessor.
Four-wheel drive (4х4) MZKT-500200 has a carrying capacity of up to 3 tons and can reach speeds of up to 95 km / h. Power reserve - 1000 km. It is lower than the GAZ-66, which increased its stability, and more agile when cornering. In addition, it became easier to load into the body.
The car MZKT-500200 showed itself well in the service in the border troops of Belarus. At the Army-2018 military-technical forum, representatives of several African and Asian countries became interested in the truck.
