No meat, take potatoes - vegetarian days are introduced in the Finnish army

In Finland, will eat a new way. Meat dishes will partly disappear from the daily ration of soldiers. Russians are not threatened.

In the fall of the Finnish privates not will succeed catch meat in the soup. Since September, canteens in the army units are switching to the half-vegetarian regime. Two times a day, cooks will exclude beef, pork, chicken and even fish from the soldiers menu. Instead, they will serve potatoes, soybeans, corn, and pasta to servicemen. The initiators of the innovation are confident that such a partial rejection of meat will have a positive effect on the health of the soldiers, as well as improve the environmental situation - reducing the proportion of consumption will also reduce harmful emissions from production. A menu with "vegetable" bias in the army of Finland existed before. Cooks made a separate list for vegetarians. In addition, when “herbivorous” soldiers entered the army, it was enough to notify the authorities about their special taste preferences and the chefs immediately included vegetarian dishes on the menu.

Unlike the Finnish army, vegetarian dishes are not served in our canteens. Yes, and supporters of soy cutlets and vegetable casseroles can not be found at all. Meals in military units are built on the "buffet". Russian fighters come to the dining room on the rights of guests and choose for themselves what food and drinks will be on their tray.

Breakfast of soldiers, as a rule, consists of one or two dishes with a boiled piece of meat, cutlet or sausages. For cheerfulness, cooks pour coffee with sugar and condensed milk to soldiers. In addition, dairy products are necessarily present in the morning ration. The soldiers' lunch is altogether reminiscent of a business lunch in one of the city cafes - soldiers choose from two salads, two soups and three whole hot dishes. On the distribution line boiled beef, pork chop, chicken fillet, liver with gravy. You can combine all these meat delicacies with buckwheat, rice, mashed potatoes or pasta. In the evening, ordinary soldiers eat boiled, fried or stewed fish. In all its diversity, drinks are also presented - tea, fruit juice, jelly on the distribution line. In addition, soldiers receive an edible bonus every week - boiled eggs and buns. “A few years ago, the buffets and salads in our dining rooms seemed like a curiosity. And now everyone is used to them. We are no longer putting soldiers on a tough menu: here you have 320 grams of buckwheat porridge and a piece of cod. Eat and be pleased. There is always a choice now, ”says Russian Deputy Defense Minister, Army General Dmitry Bulgakov.

Previously, a mile from the dining areas was made with barley and braised cabbage, which were served for breakfast, lunch and dinner. The fighters themselves were in charge of the kitchen business - they were on duty “at the stove” for almost a day; their duties included food delivery from the warehouse, cooking, cleaning dirty dishes, cleaning vegetables, including potatoes. The “kitchen outfit” was considered worse than a guard, and the privates did not have time to even sleep at work.

Today, worries about consortium comrades in a military unit conscripts bypassed. As part of the modernization of the Russian army in the dining rooms are now preparing civilian chefs. The menu is made taking into account the geographical features of the location and seasonality. In winter, the soldiers ’diet contains more high-calorie foods, such as honey and lard, and in the summer - vitamins: fresh fruits and vegetables. Among the dishes, the soldiers particularly distinguish the hodgepodge, chops with pasta, chicken with buckwheat, and the sweet creations of chefs came to the taste of the sweet tooth in uniform.

Transformations in the army canteens were beneficial, first of all, to the soldiers. The duty-free time is now occupied by combat and drill training. No enemy is terrible to such fighters.

Well, in military units located in cities, it is, and in villages and even more so at the training grounds, all meat is stupidly stolen. Every morning, chefs pass through checkpoint 2 with bags of what the soldiers were supposed to eat. The meat was only in dumplings, and indeed it wasn’t meat. Although maybe it’s so unlucky for me.

you are, to put it mildly, lying. Although I will not persist, since I myself have not seen, but in order to take the trunks outside the HF, it is necessary to have very and very strong patrons among the officers of this HF. But whether they will communicate for a couple of kg of meat is a very controversial issue.
I served in the SA and a year and a half was engaged in obtaining products from a warehouse to a boat. No matter how tricky the ukromichman in the warehouse are, the corruption schemes took place only with my consent, and with not bad mutual benefit. But the crew did not suffer at all from what I was doing, on the contrary, it allowed us some benefit and additional nutrition)))

Read carefully before becoming personal. Checkpoint 2 is a checkpoint between the barracks and the officer camp. I did not write that the trunks were taken out of the unit, it was simply redistributed in favor of the officers, so they were not opposed, and no one would explain anything to the conscript.

absolutely no need to be offended by me. The guard at the checkpoint is new every day and just won't miss anyone. We really need to agree, and not with one person but with several. And as a result, it still pops up. I myself worked in this system and served in the army.

the statute of limitations will save me. However, I didn’t steal, I just competently redistributed food supplies. And as a result, the personnel of the military unit ate at the highest level: we had coffee in the morning and pies and manna porridge for condensed milk and we had cutlets from the palm of our hands, an adult man and even had enough money for cognac. All this due to competent fraud with products and midshipman the swindler, too, was not in the way, as he loved to work with me very much)))

As I recall the shrapnel hake, saliva flows.

For one long-distance call - a plate with a slide of fried hake from the conscript cook!

For me, a catering sample remains an example of a dining room at the State Center for Contemporary Art on ZiL. Four set lunches to choose from, including milk. Trays with metal inserts for plates for the first and second, are waiting on heated shelves. The bread is white and black separately, take as much as you like. Thursday - fish day where without it in the 80s. Officially, workers, except for the service staff, have a lunch break of only 20 minutes.

All the envy of the two people is the cook and the unit commander ... if they are sensible, then the soldiers will be full. As his father likes to remember for 4 years in Kamchatka in the 50s ... he was well fed ... especially when the cooks of the commander of the Pacific Fleet were sent to their brigade.

At least a chicken was given or a fish menu, well, mushrooms and nuts as high-protein food. Potato is starch, there is no sense in it. Carbohydrates only.

1979, Podolsk, training the construction battalion, taking the oath, and they don’t have any weapons. A rest shift in the garrison guard from our communications brigade in the amount of two soldiers and a sergeant with machine guns without cartridges were sent to this event, as if they were renting weapons for a while .Now about their dining room, where we were fed from the belly. Imagine tables for 4, all the dishes are already on the table, no cisterns, forks, napkins and flowers for the holiday, everything is like people’s, it was very amazing!

A Finnish private receives 5,1 euros a day, and a private 5,6 euros. So with this money, they can easily order themselves a pizza from the nearest pizzeria. And on weekends they are allowed to go home. So whoever lacks .... meat will be "finished off" at home.

Pasta without meat or potatoes without meat is like a wedding night without a bride.
It would be much simpler to arrange vegetarian food in a separate distribution.
And if we take into account their marasmic observance of human rights, then why should an ordinary soldier eat grass these days? His rights are infringed. Lawyers will rejoice ... Although in Europe for a long time normal people have no rights. Only persons with alternative brains have rights.

The food in the unit depended on how much the unit commander thought about the subordinates and was not dependent on the thieving teammate. In the artillery regiment of the 120th division (KBVO) under the command of the commander of the regiment, Colonel Danelyan, the soldier’s canteen could give odds to any cafe. Unlike many parts, the soldiers had forks and table knives and teaspoons on the tables, and white tablecloths on the tables. When I went to summer camps with a battery. then, with the same standard of soldier rations, food was an order of magnitude higher quality than in a regiment - it wasn’t allowed to steal. When one Saturday, the parents arrived at the camp’s location on private cars (found where the children are in the camps) and asked me to give the soldiers to them without lunch (they say, we’ll feed ourselves), I said - I will give the soldier, but you will eat their lunch . They agreed. Then, for lunch, besides borscht, there was buckwheat porridge with stew, and for a third - stewed fruit (they cooked it instead of tea, there was a sea of berries around the forest) .. After dinner, two fathers tried to ask me if I knew they would come, and Then they admitted that, just as my soldiers ate in the camp, their sons did not eat like that before the army.
