The report indicates that over the past three years, the Chinese Air Force "significantly expanded" the surface operations of its bomber aircraft, gaining experience in difficult sea areas where they most likely train to attack the territory of the United States and their allies. The report’s authors are confident that Beijing has identified US military bases as priority targets and is currently working on strikes against them. According to American experts, American military bases and armed forces located in the Pacific Ocean, including the island of Guam, are being hit.
It is noted that the Chinese army is trying to improve the ability to deliver bombing strikes against targets "significantly distant from China." At the same time, Washington stated that "they have not yet understood what kind of signal China is giving the United States, demonstrating its capabilities."
Earlier, China conducted exercises in the area of the disputed islands of the South China Sea, during which Chinese bombers Xian H-6K worked off and landing on the islands themselves and bombing from the territory of these islands.
