Missile cruiser Marshal Ustinov and BPC Severomorsk enter the Mediterranean Sea

A squad of warships of the North entered the Mediterranean Sea fleet (SF), reports on Saturday the press service of the SF.

Missile cruiser Marshal Ustinov and BPC Severomorsk enter the Mediterranean Sea

According to the press service, a detachment of the Northern Fleet ships as part of the Marshal Ustinov missile cruiser and the large anti-submarine ship Severomorsk completed the passage of the narrowest part of the Strait of Gibraltar and entered the Mediterranean Sea. The passage of the strait was made in the dark, in conditions of intensive navigation.

Recall that the Marshal Ustinov missile cruiser and Severomorsk BOD, which participated in the Main Marine Parade in St. Petersburg, without going to the base of the permanent registry, were sent on a long hike. During the transition, the crews of the ships continued combat training in accordance with the plans for combat training. BOD "Severomorsk" worked out the task of finding enemy submarines, and "Marshal Ustinov" conducted training to repel an air attack using the means of anti-aircraft defense.

In the Mediterranean, the ships will join the permanent combat group of the Russian Navy to carry out the tasks assigned by the Commander-in-Chief of the Russian Navy. The term of the Marshal Ustinov missile cruiser and Severomorsk BOD as part of the grouping is not called.

Recall that the ships left the base of the Northern Fleet in Severomorsk on July 5, and during their voyage they had already covered more than 6 thousand miles.

Meanwhile, yesterday there was very good news about our Navy, but there is still no article on this in the VO.
Gas turbine engines (GTE) for the last two frigates of Project 22350, Admiral Golovko and Admiral Isakov, are ready. This was reported to Mil.Press FlotProm by a senior industry source. According to him, these gas turbine engines are completely domestic and built on the Rybinsk "Saturn". The power plant of the ships will be equipped with gearboxes produced by the St. Petersburg "Zvezda". A source at the enterprise told the journalist of the publication that the units are not yet ready, but the current leadership of Zvezda is in constant contact with the Rybinsk Saturn.

“This is a momentous event. These engines are superior to Ukrainian in efficiency by 20%. This is a very decent quality, which will significantly affect the power of the power plant. These two frigates of the 22350 series Admiral Golovko and Admiral Isakov, on which construction was suspended due to the failure of Ukraine, are due on time. Moreover, the same power plants will go to the frigates of the Black Sea series, of which there are three left in Kaliningrad: “Butakov”, “Kornilov” and “Istomin” (Admiral series of the project of patrol ships 1135 - ed.). Therefore, this is a very important point: where we focused exclusively on Ukraine, in particular the Nikolaev plant, we took a big step forward, and this will allow us to build ocean-going ships later. We can build ships of large displacement much faster and better ”

Jack! Good afternoon. What are you talking about?
I'm about speed. 1000 miles per day is about 41.6 miles per hour. Miles are transferred to nodes, it turns out 36, 6 nodes. If 36, 6 is not pleasant, then at your request we will consider 36 knots. This is the maximum speed, and the speed of the ships on the passport is less am
Note, this is the maximum stroke, not economical!
