As follows from the materials of the publication, the command of the US Army 4 Infantry Division decided to change the type of exercises previously aimed at confronting the rebels who used the tactics of the Mujahideen in Afghanistan. Now the training will be conducted with an eye on the fighting against the prepared armies of Russia and China.
As the commander of the 3 Brigade, Colonel Mike Simmering, said, the training is aimed at countering "the most serious threat that the United States Army can face." At the same time, the colonel noted that the preparation for clashes with a well-trained enemy army is fundamentally different from the hostilities that the American army led from 2011 in Afghanistan, Syria and Iraq.
In preparation for possible clashes with the Russian and Chinese armies, the command of the American army decided to conduct as many large-scale trainings involving various equipment, starting from armored personnel carriers and tanksending with artillery and aviation. At the training grounds, where the use of heavy equipment in sufficient quantities is impossible, it is proposed to use simulators-simulators and battle simulators.
