According to a report posted on the NSDC website, Turchinov arrived in the area of the joint forces operation in the Donbas, where he checked the readiness of servicemen to conduct combat operations against "Russian occupants." Turchinov estimated the Mariupol direction as "the most threatening" and did not rule out that it was in this direction that the "aggressor country" could conduct land and sea landing operations along the coast of the Sea of Azov.
The secretary of the National Security and Defense Council discussed with the command of the Ukrainian Naval Forces the creation of a reinforced ship-cutter group of the Ukrainian Navy to counter possible attacks of the Azov coast. Turchinov ordered to transfer additional units of the naval boat of the Ukrainian Navy to this area and deploy additional observation posts.
Recall that earlier the command of the Naval Forces of Ukraine recognized that it is not able to achieve parity with the Naval fleet Russia.
