During tests of the robotic complex "Uran-9" in real combat conditions in Syria, a number of problems were identified that are currently being resolved, reports Messenger of Mordovia.
Earlier it was reported about the loss of remote control, about problems in the chassis of the "Uranus-9" and problems with the use of weapons installed on it.
In fact, during the combat use of the machine, nothing fatal happened. These unmanned systems are still at the very beginning of their development, so it was surprising if everything was smooth from the first time.
According to sources in the Russian defense industry, the car will change over time both internally and externally. As for the elimination of all identified deficiencies, this is not an extremely difficult task: the remote control system will be modernized, the undercarriage will be improved, the weapon stabilizer will be installed.
All necessary for repair and modernization of engineers available. So there is hope that in the near future Uran-9 will be again presented to the general public.
At present, the robotic complex is armed with an automatic gun 2А72 (30 mm) and a twin machine gun PKTM (7,62 mm). In addition, the "Attack" anti-tank complex with a range of damage to 5 km is installed on "Uranus". Thermal imaging system provides application weapons in the dark.
