NATO launched Worthy Partner Teachings in Georgia
On Wednesday, the international exercise “Worthy Partner-2018” started in Georgia, in which both the NATO countries and their non-aligned partners took part, reports RIA News.
This year, around 3 thousand troops and 13 countries are involved in the exercise, including the United States, Britain, Germany, France, Poland, Turkey, Lithuania, Estonia, Norway, Georgia, Armenia, Azerbaijan and Ukraine.
The Georgian Defense Ministry reported that the purpose of the exercise is to consolidate the skills of defense and attack, as well as to increase the compatibility and readiness of the armies of Georgia, the United States and their allies.
Maneuvers are aimed at maintaining stability and a safe environment in the Black Sea region, added to the Ministry of Defense.
It is also reported that during the exercise a total of about 450 pieces of equipment will be deployed, some of which will be delivered to the Vaziani base (near Tbilisi) by sea. At different stages, the American aviation.
