"Star". From tankers to aircraft carriers!

39
Although we have become accustomed to the fact that Russian shipbuilding does not make us very happy, some news from the shipbuilding "fronts", they are nevertheless setting up an optimistic mood. And one of the main generators of such news has recently become the seaside shipbuilding complex Zvezda, located in the city of Bolshoy Kamen.

Literally the other day, Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade Oleg Ryazantsev said that Zvezda will sign 60 contracts for the construction of new ships in the next five months. And this is despite the fact that in the order book of this company there are already 26 contracts - not potential, but quite real contracts, under which payments are already being made, work is under way, and so on.

True, Deputy Prime Minister Yury Borisov announced a slightly different figure:

The "Star" is now 118 contracts - 118 potential ships that will be built. This is mainly a large class of large-capacity gas carriers, supply vessels (with a carrying capacity. - Auth.) Up to 100 thousand tons.

Probably, such a discrepancy is due to the fact that the contract can be concluded both on one ship, and immediately on the whole series. Therefore, it would probably be more correct to count not contracts, but the number of ordered vessels. And here the number 118, and in relation to the ships with a payload of up to 100 thousand tons, causes legitimate respect.

Also, these days at the shipyard another important event took place - the Chinese partners handed over the floating dock to the Star, which is necessary for the completion of some ships. It will allow you to work with objects up to 300 meters in length, and this is the lion’s share of all projects implemented there.

And by the end of 2019, the Bolshoy Kamen is planning to complete construction of the largest dry dock in Russia. After this work is completed, the construction of truly huge vessels will be possible there, up to 485 meters in length. At the present time, the largest ships in the world are almost not built, and what is there can be literally counted on the fingers.

The shipyard has a powerful Goliath crane. A huge colossus weighing 4 000 tons is capable of lifting a weight of 1200 tons, which allows to significantly simplify the assembly process, literally “making up” the vessel under construction from already almost finished blocks. There are also “small” taps. Although it is difficult to say whether this word is suitable for the Ural giants, designed for 320 tons of payload.

In general, the technical and technological state of the enterprise already does not cause any special complaints. And this was one of the reasons why the nuclear-powered icebreaker Leader, or even a whole series of such ships, seems to be built on the Star. Although with the "Leader", of course, everything is not very simple. But this is a topic for another conversation.

In general, you need to understand that the shipyard under construction (and already working) is not a clean “remake”, which was built on the shore of the first bay that came across. The Zvezda plant, even before the start of this ambitious project, was the largest ship repair company in the Far East. Moreover, he specialized specifically in servicing Pacific vessels fleet, including surface and submarine ships with a nuclear power plant. For this reason, even in the post-Soviet years, the city of Bolshoi Kamen was a closed administrative-territorial entity (ZATO), and visiting it was not so simple.

That is, in this case, we have a full set of necessary competencies - both traditional and acquired. And it is very likely that, as a result, Russia will receive a truly powerful shipbuilding center, both technical, technological and scientific components of which will meet the most advanced requirements.

The main activity of the seaside shipyard at the moment is the construction of tankers. These are oil tankers and gas carriers, both in the standard version and in the reinforced ice class. In the future, one can also expect certification of an enterprise for the construction of “chemical tankers” - tankers designed for the transport of aggressive chemicals and compounds. And this is not surprising, because among the main shareholders and investors of the company are Rosneft and Novatek.

But with a high degree of probability, we can assume that, in time, the Zvezda can take over the implementation of major military contracts. The shipyard's capacities are suitable for the construction of large surface ships of the type “destroyer”, “large anti-submarine ship”, “cruiser”, and in the near future, after the delivery of the above-mentioned dry dock, they will also be suitable for the construction of aircraft carriers. And this is very important for our country - no matter how urgent the question is whether we need aircraft carriers at all, we should still have a fundamental opportunity to build them.

Now, it seems, we will be able to completely replace Ukraine in this matter. Yes, and to the Chinese to bow, as suggested by some, do not have to go.

but there are no aircraft carriers and ships of the first rank.

Who sponsors the one and determines the orders. We cry that civilian shipbuilding is abandoned, then we are indignant on the contrary ... What is wrong with building the same gas carriers? How can they replenish the budget, or is it better to buy in Korea? In general, you do not please.

"Star" can take on the implementation of major military contracts.
    - and maybe not take it! Main tankers, supply vessels, gas carriers.

I worked with the guys from B. Stone. And so I don’t understand that the order portfolio is purely oil and gas!

Orders alone are few, it is also necessary that they be completed on time, and with this, verified shipyards have problems.

They are completing the second phase of construction in the 2020 year, which is four years ahead of schedule. After that, gas carriers will be built for Yamal. In general, there are 16 construction phases, including housing estates, kindergartens, schools, hospitals. They said that now more than 1000 people are working at the shipyard, and after putting all the facilities into operation, the number of employees will increase by more than seven times. Shock work!

States really do not need it, it is easier for them to print "greens" and buy crane beams.
We, on the contrary, NEED to raise our machine tool industry and crane building.
            It’s a pity you don’t understand this.

Such a crane construction in Russia will not pay off, because such beams, for the whole of Russia, need 20 pieces for 10 - 15 years.

It’s not a question - why don’t we organize adjacent production, is our coast more than Chinese? Why don't we even go along the Chinese path, develop production, and not just the extractive industry? In China, all of this developed precisely under the state development program. wink

Russia has enough money. The Central Bank buys 240 tons of gold each year. While there is no necessary seriality for the Rhythm-200 reactors. + another 2000 people need to be taken to the shipyard, + to get into the work according to current orders. Something like this (!)

It depends on the number of shares. With a large quantity, the shareholder already decides what to produce.

Dock, cranes, workshops and machine tools are good. And where will they recruit qualified personnel? and so the existing factories for the gallows scrape and haul down engineers and skilled workers. An unskilled dummy is a dime a dozen.
The second plant is not a vinaigrette, I collected everything I need, mixed it and it's ready. Who will create a modern, efficient organizational structure? distribution of tasks among departments up to responsible executives, clarity of the scope of authority and responsibility, decision procedures, real incentives and real strict penalties? Yes, yes, those same job descriptions and regulations for units that are everywhere filkin letters "pitchfork on water." And who will beat with a stick on his hands and head at the first signs of a creep of laziness, dullness and unbuttoning issues to keep the structure? Who will weed out sons, daughters, homies and just “funny guys”? Who will control the cooperation procurement departments with suppliers on the board, and other Vasya-Vasya workers / masters / OTiZ relationships for endless additional work and labor hours?
As far as I know, no one gives out their organizational structure, Koreans with DSME guests “for exchange of experience” do not even let SHI look at the workshop either.
And without this, you can steal any business, the rated capacities on the docks for cranes and workshops in Russia are higher than the roof, and they can also grow another dead swamp like in all the large factories Zaliv, Admiral, Severnaya, Vyborgsky and the parable of the Baltics!

Another bike about the great tomorrow.

Well, why is the bike, mattresses specifically piercing, the possibility of building landing stages, including for the islands of the Barents Sea. For the Marines in Norway are seriously trained to annex the Russian part of the Svalbard archipelago.

Russian monopoly on North Pestilence. Wayim like a bone in the throat. And so the Path will be blocked.

A landing stage (French débarcadère, from débarquer - to unload, land) a floating pier, a berthing structure in the form of a vessel or pontoon, permanently installed (usually in a river port) and intended for the parking of cargo and passenger ships, as well as any isolated element (stationary or a floating) port (berth) infrastructure having a cargo area and carried outside the berth (coastal) line.

This is the great tomorrow, in the appendage to aircraft carriers ... And the world's first floating nuclear power plant, which can also be attributed to landing stages.
