He noted that the main advantage of the submarine is secrecy, so it is necessary that its magnetic, electrical and acoustic fields should be minimal. This problem can be solved in several ways: the submarine body must be made of titanium or of low-magnetic steel, for example, of high-nitrogen.
At the same time, Polovinkin expressed confidence that by the 2025, the time of mono-metals in the submarine shipbuilding would end. Either bimetals or metal polymers or composite materials will be used.
He also reported on the possible use of "smart" materials (meta-materials) that can not only record the impact on the boat, but also resist it. If you make them trim, then any signal acoustic or location will simply bend around the hull of the boat, extending further.
Today many countries of the world are dealing with this issue, since nanotechnologies underlying meta-materials allow us to solve many problems.
According to the head of the scientific center, the submarine of the future should be invisible, low-habitable, with a limited crew, better - generally without crew. She will be able to apply weapon not at the point of its location, but at a distance, using a movable launch position.
