The terrorist attack in Suwayd - the result of a forced suspension of attacks on ISIL

Syria receives updated data on the number of victims of the largest terrorist attack in the country recently. We are talking about a terrorist attack, organized by ISIS militants (* prohibited in the Russian Federation) in the southern province of Suwayda. According to local media, citing the military structures of the SAR, 144 victims of the terrorist attack are now known. It is noted that at least 180 people were injured. The lives of dozens of wounded are at risk. Many are diagnosed with high blood loss. Requires blood from donors.


The attack itself occurred this morning. Several suicide bombers from the ranks of ISIS * launched bombs that were on their bodies. Attention is drawn to the fact that one of the bombers blew himself up in the crowded market of the city of Essaouida. A local resident tried to grab another terrorist, but he managed to activate an explosive device.

After some time, IG militants attacked settlements in the eastern part of the province. The battle with the Syrian army soldiers began. The terrorists, having suffered significant losses, retreated.

The Russian Foreign Ministry has already sent a telegram expressing condolences to Damascus about the terrible terrorist attack.

It should be noted that it was precisely the attack and other activities of the ISIS terrorists * on the eve that they tried to stop the plane of the SAR Air Force, which was preparing to strike at the militants. However, the Israeli Syrian Su-22М4 air defense system was shot down. The operation to attack Igilovtsy in the south of the SAR of the country's air force was temporarily halted. Ultimately, the terrorists were able to regroup and arrange a whole series of attacks in Suweida. The end result is dozens of dead civilians, including women and children.
