Walk Free rating: There are almost no slaves in the USA, there are more slaves in Belarus than in Kosovo
If we proceed from at least one of the above indicators (debt bondage), then the United States of America should have come in the first place from the end by a large margin. Indeed, on every citizen of the United States, including infants and very old people, there is a debt in excess of 55 thousand dollars. But in the US rating there is not even a dozen countries with a high level of debt slavery. What is this rating?
The authors of the rating do not share information about what methods they used to calculate the coefficient of "modern slavery", but infographics and tables with final results lead.
The DPRK leads by a large margin, where, it turns out, there are about 105 "modern slaves" in the 1 thousand population. Again, how was it counted?
But the United States is on the list (attention!) Of the most prosperous from the point of view of solving the issue of contemporary slavery. Located along with countries such as Belgium, Britain, Montenegro, Croatia, Norway, Sweden, the Netherlands, Portugal and Spain. The list includes Belgium and Britain, where there are entire neighborhoods inhabited by powerless refugees, neighborhoods where state laws do not apply, where slave labor is exploited, including sexual slavery, and where even armed police are afraid to look.
The list of countries with the highest ratio of the number of "modern slaves" to the total population: North Korea, Libya, Eritrea, Central African Republic, Iran, Equatorial Guinea, Burundi, Congo, Sudan and Mauritania.
Iran’s entry into this list looks ridiculous and underlines the dense ignorance of the authors of the rating about real life in this country.
Russia in the list of “slave trouble” was placed between Cuba and Brunei in the rating district of Papua New Guinea and Zimbabwe. It is difficult to comment, especially given the fact that Ukraine is on 100 with superfluous positions with forced mobilization and blooming sexual slavery, and on 70 with superfluous Bangladesh, in which slave labor for millions of people is actually the norm of today.
It is clear that with free labor in our country there are certain problems, but this rating "Walk Free"in which the situation in Kosovo is exposed several times better than the situation, for example, in Belarus, it never ceases to be biased.
