Museum of the Polish Army in Warsaw

14
I had the opportunity to go on a five-day visit to Poland in May. Workers, but in time, fun hour. Having corrected the schedule with the head, we broke free with him, being in Warsaw, to the Museum of the Polish Army.

An ordinary museum, if not for the exhibits on display in the courtyard. However, judge for yourself ...

MiG-29 will meet you at the entrance to the left.

On the right, by the right of the winner, dear "thirty-four".

Where else can you touch the real "Sherman"?

Ip. "Joseph Stalin".

Guns of the First World War.

Soviet bombers Tu-2 and Pe-2.

Anti-tank self-propelled gun based on the American armored vehicle M3.

Samples of ship and coastal gun installations.

Further, the technique is at odds with each other. But you can wander between the exhibits, touch the armor of the real German Hetzer (you can see how tight it was in the armor breach), Centurion, ZNU 57-2.

And also look at the ancient nuclei, compare them with the shells of "Dora" and "Karl", estimate the length of the torpedoes, lift up the head on the protruding "Scud".

Unfortunately, some exhibits require repair and painting, but museum staff are working on it. In general, all lovers of military stories I highly recommend visiting this museum. From the historical center of Warsaw to him just half an hour to go.

I wonder how the Polish rulers will explain to their adherents about the victories of the Polish Army with the help of Soviet weapons and in close connection with the Soviet Army. Also, according to the law on desovetization, they will be taken out to the dump as well as the monuments to the soldiers liberators?

Dear author, is the photo under this inscription accidentally not the British "CENTURION"?

You see, when creating an article, photos from the first time for some reason did not load. And after the reload, they went "apart". Sorry again, but this is a technical matter ...

Well, I didn’t have to visit St. Petersburg, and also in Kubinka ... And is there already free entrance, or as before, for official use?

    Hello hello and thank you!

Entrance to the Museum of Artillery and Engineering Troops in St. Petersburg (pictured) was always free. If you succeed, try to "crawl" to them into the "back yard" - there was a storage room in the eighties, no less interesting is the main exposition.
In Kubinka was in the nineties and admission is also free.

Thank you for the photo and the info about the fact that the Poles nevertheless at least left something behind the historical roots of the Polish troops. It was pleasant, historically, that they were brothers in arms. crying
