Does the Russian Cossacks have a future?

95

More than two decades have passed since the collapse of the Soviet Union. New states emerged on its territory, among which Russia is one of the most important places. The changes that have occurred in the state during this time have given reason to hope for the solution of old problems. One of the most significant was the problem of the Cossacks, since society was waiting for the restoration of the rights of this primordially Russian institution of self-government of the people.

It should be noted that the birth of this historical, ethnic and social layer occurred as far back as the fourteenth century on a large territory between Russia, Lithuania, Poland and the Tatar khanates. Cossacks emerged as a universal type of troops as a result of the unification of various nationalities that were forced to wage constant wars after the collapse of the Golden Horde. The Cossacks were divided into two categories: some were servants, others free. As for the Russian free Cossacks, it originally appeared on the Don, and later on the banks of the Dnieper, Volga, Terek and Yaik.

Life in the conditions of the endless steppes was also determined by the Cossacks. The main type of management they had was fishing, animal husbandry and hunting. Great importance in the life of the Cossacks was given to the war, since it was in many respects that military spoil depended on it. And what was possible to seize during military campaigns, became the common property of the whole community.

The Cossacks were considered to be excellent riders, and the Cossack cavalry was recognized as the best light cavalry, which became famous in the years of numerous wars.

In our time, the situation with the Cossacks is ambiguous. The revival of the Cossack class of many real Cossacks took them by surprise. On the one hand, they liked the idea itself, but on the other ...

Historically, since its inception, the Cossacks occupied a certain place in the organization of the state, and now there are no analogues in the new conditions.

As expected, the Cossack project was to serve as a sort of propaganda trump card for liberal forces. But, as it often happens, there was a failure - the people who had Cossack ranks treated him much more seriously than was calculated. The new-found independence, which was deprived of the national component, the tools for the protection of the national interests of the state aroused a heightened interest in the Russian Cossacks, which always defended the people's hopes and aspirations. But, instead of creating a capable force, there is an imitation of not only the old organizational forms and the desire for external similarity, but also the desire of leaders to become monopolists, which leads to disappointment in such strength.

Tragically events that occurred on historical territories of Cossack troops in the North Caucasus caused losses among the Russian people. They did not bypass the representatives of the Cossack estate. The state was unable to stop the terror against the population living in the territories of the Terek Cossacks, which entailed huge human, material and territorial losses.

It should be noted that the existing organizational forms of the Cossacks are powerless to do anything to prevent threats to the national interests of the state in general and the Cossack class in particular. Thus, the Cossacks eventually lost their lands. Meanwhile, the Cossacks are closely connected with the Russian people, their interests are closely intersected with the interests of the rest of the population. Therefore, there is no doubt that the Cossacks' loss of their lands will have a negative impact on the national security of the state.

The state system of Russia does not give the opportunity to constantly protect the national interests of its people, and the Cossack organizations that were created formally, are absolutely helpless in front of real threats.

It should be noted that the lands that are in the possession of the Cossacks, constitute the economic basis of the entire Cossack Army. As is known, the Cossack service has its specific features, so the Cossacks need to provide certain social guarantees for their families, as well as means for subsistence, while neither one nor the other should depend on state policy. That is why the main task of the Cossacks, in terms of strategy, is to restore control over those territories that were originally considered the property of the Cossack Troops.

The existence of the Cossacks has always been due to the need to have effective force, ready at any time to speak in defense and protection of the state territory. If this necessity disappears, then the Cossacks become unnecessary, and all their external similarity with previous generations leads only to the fact that the old historical insults are being revived, which are not always real.

It is important to note the fact that the relations of the Cossacks with the authorities have always been difficult. The Cossacks not only defended the interests of the state, but also rebelled against their own authorities in order to warn or put an end to bureaucratic lawlessness.

When perestroika began, the revival of the Cossacks did not fit into the plans of the authorities, who were "at the helm." It is noteworthy that the American Congress considered that the Russian new Cossacks would constitute a potential threat to America. The Yeltsin regime, which at that time came to power, simply blocked all possible ways for the development of the Cossacks. Therefore, the registered Cossacks arose in a complete legal vacuum. The only law relating to the Cossacks, was adopted in 1994 year. But he did not define the functions that should have been assigned to Cossack organizations. Moreover, the definition of the Cossacks and its ethnocultural originality was not given, therefore it was not clear what rights and privileges it could count on. A year later, a split began among the Russian Cossacks: some of its representatives became registered Cossacks who served the state, and the second part made up a group of social activists who remained independent.

But today we have managed to at least partially restore justice. Cossack civil service laws were passed.

It should be noted that the educational base of the Cossacks is multiplied. Today, cadet education must be complemented by university education. By the way, 15 February 2012, one of the higher educational institutions - Moscow State University of Technology and Management named after K. Razumovsky was given the status of Cossack University. In addition, several very worthy proposals were voiced for improving the ways of interaction between the state and the Cossacks. So, for example, it was proposed to register the appearance of a Cossack family in the church, as well as to register the Cossacks in the military registration and enlistment offices. But, of course, it would not hurt to confirm all these innovations with social guarantees.

But all these proposals relate to the military Cossacks, but with respect to "social activists", here the situation is worse. In fact, they remained outside the law. It turns out that they are second-rate people who do not need social guarantees or higher education. But after all, their guilt is not that in the days of the Cossack self-organization there were no documents regulating the Cossack civil service. But, by the way, even now the Cossacks do not really need the state authorities. The government probably would not have remembered them if they had not begun to revive.

And the Cossacks themselves are torn apart by contradictions, which are not so easy to resolve. First, how to relate to the authorities, what to do within the framework of the registered Cossacks, and what is beyond its borders. But, whatever one may say, it was the creation of the state Cossack registry that caused the split between the Cossacks. Secondly, there are certain ideological contradictions. If earlier it was based on Orthodoxy and monarchism, then today not all representatives of the Cossacks share these principles: among them there are supporters of Cossack nationalism and red Cossacks. Therefore, it often happens that except for external attributes, the Cossacks do not unite anything.

Therefore, it is obvious that, in the opinion of experts, the new Russian government should take measures in order to form the economic basis for the Cossacks and integrate them into the armed forces as soon as possible. You ask why? Everything is very simple - it will serve as a guarantee for the formation of a new Russian combat-ready army. Since the Russian Federation is a large state, it will not be able to manage exclusively with a professional army. And the Cossacks - is a force that regularly undergo retraining, thus maintaining combat capability. In this case, the Cossacks could serve as a kind of special semi-professional class. Cossacks can not only serve in regular military units, but also be used to protect state borders and serve in reserve.

Only in the event that the Cossacks become an integral part of the state, if its representatives do not feel disdain from the government, only in this case can it become not a historical reminder of the glorious past, but also the main personnel resource for the armed forces, a formidable force protect the interests of the country.

Does the Russian Cossacks have a future?

Reconstructors (recons, swordsmen) - people involved in the reconstruction of a certain historical period. Reconstruction means the manufacture of weapons, armor and household items from the time of the reconstructed period, the study of military art and manners of the world of that time and trips to the open air in order to live the life of ancestors.
Instead of stupidly thumping in the evenings in the evening in front of a zomboyaschik or sitting on a dvora and leprosy in tights and a stretched T-shirt, the seasons go out into the countryside, put on armor, camisoles of Peter's times or gymnasts and do the same there. Sometimes in the process of alcohol consumption they tend to measure in small letters about how long they supposedly look at miniatures of the Middle Ages, photographs from the Second World War, or some other artifacts to the pain in their eyes.

And between the will and the soul as the border of the holy spirit!

My grandfather said so, I don’t know what’s in the soul of the mummers, but not by bloomers, the Cossack is just different, for sure. angry

Everything that the author says is true ... Only now the Cossacks as a military estate are no longer needed ... It’s even harmful ... The main task of the Cossacks has always been clearly defined-the protection of borders and the suppression of raids on border lands ... That is why the government allowed them and weapons to have military and their own form, and even paid extra, though by not paying a lot of taxes ...
Cossacks were never serfs and were never subjected to such pressure as other peoples of the country ...
At present, it is simply not possible to perform these functions at the level of self-government ... Events in Kushchevskaya have shown that such self-government is worth ...
So the Cossacks have a right to exist only as a historical and cultural layer, as a separate one, I’m not afraid of this word, people ..., with their traditions and their way of life

In science, the term subethnos has long been established, and this is what the phenomenon of the Cossacks is called.
In general, it’s good that in modern Russia the Cossacks are reborn, people remember the history of their families, are actively interested in forgotten pages of history. Historical memory is the main thing in the modern world that can save a person from depersonalization. And harem pants and hats are already details, no need to pay attention to it ...

You go to the Stavropol Territory, in the village on the border with the wild republics and tell it there. Cossacks are the only real force that at least somehow tries to organize themselves and defend their interests and the interests of Russians. If they were not there, then the Russians would have been cut out long ago and no police could have saved. I myself grew up in those places and I know what I'm talking about. All 90th years I lived there and saw what was happening.
Cossacks fought in Chechnya quite successfully. Many died. So it is not necessary to relate them to folklore. About 10 years ago it was necessary to allow them to have their own weapons, at least for self-defense. There would be no night raids of abreks on the villages with the excision of entire families. And with sticks and knives it’s difficult to defend against armed with machine guns.

Cossacks as a special military estate began to lose their significance when the role of cavalry in wars began to decline, but Cossacks are not only cavalry, they are primarily 100% dedicated people with a military outlook and a noble character. What role can the Cossacks have today? This is either their initial function, namely, mobile border detachments or the function of law enforcement, for reference, I will say that there was such a case before the revolution, when Rostov was completely in the grip of criminals for one day: all police stations were destroyed, state institutions were looted, all criminals, thieves, free, in the city a complete mess, looting everywhere, while higher officials thought what to do, hundreds of Cossacks who came from Novocherkassk restored order, we draw conclusions as they say. After all, there is equestrian police in Canada, in our country the same functions can be performed by Cossacks in the form of mobile groups

In the Kuban, there are training camps with personal (hunting and rifled) weapons and radio stations, each of 1,5 young people. Some reenactors went through Yugoslavia, Transnistria, Chechnya, South Ossetia. Not all at once. But when Zhora will flog you on the square with a whip, please do not repeat these words.

Speaking about the Cossacks today, we must immediately emphasize that from a legal, socio-economic or military point of view, it is formally, truly still does not exist. In addition to a number of presidential decrees, resolutions of the federal government and local authorities, Cossacks are not mentioned in any of the laws or military regulations.
In the Cossack movement, we are dealing either with the descendants of the Cossacks, or with people calling themselves Cossacks for various reasons. Unlike pre-revolutionary Russian legislation, which clearly defined the status of the Cossack, his place in society, the rights and obligations assigned to the Cossack self-government of the land Today’s legislation makes only the first timid attempts to determine the position of the Cossacks. Moreover, the search for a place for the Cossack in today's life of the country, even the very definition of the Cossacks, is very difficult. In fact, - what really distinguishes the living descendants of the Cossacks and non-Cossacks now - after decades of talking in all its forms? Almost nothing! There remains the historical memory of the descendants of the Cossacks, their awareness of the common origin, culture and traditions, psychological warehouse, the presence of lands of traditional residence, the features of the spoken language, Cossack dialects, as well as Cossack organizations

The "disguised" Cossacks have a crappy tradition of wearing the awards of their ancestors, a true Cossack will not allow himself this. And in what form would the Cossacks suit you? What you see is all ostentatious, but in fact the Cossacks are not only red heads and checkers. In the education system of Russia there are 27 Cossack cadet corps, in which there is an excellent education system, where, along with general education, cadets acquire both a military and a civilian specialty.

Cossacks in the fight against the Bolsheviks

The third Reich managed to attract a rather large number of Cossacks. The idea of revenge for the lost Civil War, gaining Cossack statehood and creating an independent Cossack state with the help of National Socialist Germany took on a new breath during the Second World War, and the traditions of public service and exceptional military discipline turned the Cossack units of the Wehrmacht into an instrument of struggle against Soviet power.

According to various estimates, by the end of the war in Germany and its countries there were from 70 to 110 thousand Cossacks, including women, old people and children. A significant number of them were refugees from the Soviet Union, retreating from the Cossack lands along with the German army in the winter of 1943. In addition, a fairly large number of Cossacks fought in the German army. Moreover, it was the Cossack units that enjoyed almost complete confidence of the German command, as they had high combat efficiency and reliability.

The fact remains that in no country like the USSR, which was subjected to a German attack, there were not so many people who put on the form of an enemy army and took part in the war against their own state and its allies. According to various researchers, this figure ranges from 800 thousand to one and a half million Soviet citizens who fought on the side of the Germans. Moreover, in our country, collaborationism manifested itself both at the household level and in the political, economic and military fields.

The fate of the Cossacks was especially dramatic during the Second World War. Throughout its history, the Cossacks possessed such distinctive cultural and historical features that allowed them to always maintain (or at least try to maintain) their original independence from the authorities. All the rulers of our state were forced, one way or another, to reckon with this amazing phenomenon of Russian history. Unfortunately, love for freemen and independence more than once ended tragically for the Cossacks.

By the end of April 1945, when units of the Red Army were already fighting in the suburbs of Berlin, and there were only a few days remaining until the end of the war, the following Cossack units operated in the territory that remained under German control:

      - 15 Cossack Cavalry Corps of General Helmut von Pannwitz (Croatia) - from 25 to 30 thousand people;

      - 1 Cossack Regiment of General Zborovsky as part of the Russian Security Corps (Croatia) - about one and a half thousand officers and Cossacks;
      - Cossack reserve of General A.G. Skuro (Austria) - up to 2 thousand people;

      - “Cossack Stan” Camp Ataman T.I. Domanova (Northern Italy) about 10 thousand combatant Cossacks;

      - Separate Cossack units in the Wehrmacht.

Thus, the total number of Cossack units in the ranks of the German Wehrmacht, police and SS was approximately 45-50 thousand people.

These Cossack units played a significant role in the history of Soviet collaboration during the Second World War. It was Cossack units that carried out security services in various areas on the territory of the USSR, fought with regular units of the Soviet army in the battle for the North Caucasus, fought with Yugoslav and Italian partisans, together with SS units suppressed the Warsaw Uprising, participated in the construction of the Atlantic Wall and restrained the English German troops in the summer and autumn of 1944.

All Cossack formations in the ranks of the Wehrmacht that appeared during the war can be divided into five groups, each of which had its own characteristic features.

The first group is Cossack units, formed in 1941-1942 as part of security divisions, tank corps, infantry armies and operational units of the Wehrmacht, as well as in the rear areas of armies and army groups. These units were the first Cossack units in the German army, while many of them appeared completely unexpectedly for the Germans themselves, who were literally forced to accept their help. It must be admitted that these formations were quite combat-ready, and their personnel possessed high moral and military training. In this group, it is worth noting, first of all, the Cossack formations of Kononov, von Renteln, von Jungshulz and the Cossack Regiment “Platov”.

The second group is Cossack units formed in 1942-1943 by the so-called Main Headquarters of the Formation of Cossack Troops in Ukraine. In these military formations served mainly prisoners of war, and of various nationalities. Many of them only called themselves Cossacks to escape from the camps. As a result, these units were distinguished by very dubious reliability, and it was in them that the largest percentage of those (among the rest of the treasonous formations from the Cossacks) who went to serve the Germans only in order to save their lives. In these parts several mass transitions to partisans were recorded. Basically, these formations were used to carry out security service.

The third group is the Cossack units formed on the Don, Kuban and Terek, that is, on the territory of the Cossacks' original residence (later it was merged into the so-called Cossack Stan). These formations differed from the rest in that they served a lot of volunteers who went to fight against the Soviet government for ideological reasons. It was in these parts that the traditions of the Cossack regiments of the imperial army were revived. As a result, they were highly reliable and were ready to fight against communism to the last drop of blood, which was proved in the battles in the North Caucasus, and later in Belarus, Ukraine and Italy, where they were provided with territories for compact residence.

The fourth group is the 1st Cossack Cavalry Division and the 15th Cossack Cavalry Corps SS. These formations were the largest and most combat-ready Cossack units for the entire time of the war. The 1st Cossack Cavalry Division was formed in 1943, and it included most of the units from the 1st, 2nd and 3rd groups. The division fighters spent most of the war in Yugoslavia, where they played a very significant role in the struggle against the partisan movement. At the end of 1945, the division came under the jurisdiction of the SS, and on February 25, 1945, the 15th Cossack cavalry corps with a total of 25 thousand people was formed on its basis.

The fifth group is a Cossack regiment as part of the Russian Security Corps. This combat formation, consisting of emigrant Cossacks, was formed in Belgrade in the fall of 1941, and throughout the war served in Yugoslavia, fighting against the partisans Josip Broz Tito.

Echoes of the civil war and the genocide of the Cossacks by the Bolsheviks, these people can not be strongly condemned. Our Russian Orthodox Church has joined forces with a foreign woman as a symbol of the end of the civil war. There were several tens of thousands of them, which were zilch in the millions of armies, they were involved in Italy and the Balkans as police units, but even Fritz was praised, which indicates a high military spirit, wherever they fight.

Yes, during World War II, some Cossacks fought on the side of the Germans. First of all, the reason for this lies in the merciless terror on the lands of the Cossacks conducted by the Bolsheviks during the civil war, and after: collectivization, dispossession, as a result of which even in the Kuban, the breadbasket of Russia, people died of starvation in the 30s and were recorded cases of cannibalism.

But there were other Cossacks, whose feats of arms can be proud of and set them as young as an example:

Nedorubov Konstantin Iosifovich - commander of the militia squadron of the 41st Guards Cavalry Regiment of the 11th Guards Cavalry Division of the 5th Guards Cavalry Corps of the North Caucasus Front, guard lieutenant.

21 was born on May 1889 of the year on the Rubezhniy farm, now in the Lovyagin farm of the Danilovsky district of the Volgograd region, in a family of a hereditary Cossack. Russian. He graduated from elementary school.

Member of the 1st World War (full St. George Knight). In the Civil War, he fought with both white and red. At one time he commanded the red Taman cavalry regiment. In 1922 he returned to his homeland. In the 1930s, he was repressed (remember the service in the White Army). For three years he worked on the construction of the Moscow-Volga Canal, for shock work he was released ahead of schedule.

By the beginning of World War II was not subject to appeal by age. In October 1941, he volunteered for a cavalry division of volunteer Cossacks in the city of Uryupinsk. Cossack militias chose him as their commander. In a month K.I. Nedorubov with his squadron joined the Mikhailovsky combined regiment of the Don Cossack cavalry division, from January 1942 the division was renamed the 15th Don Cossack, and the 3rd (Mikhailovsky regiment), which included K.I. Nedorubov - in the 42nd cavalry regiment. In the spring of 1942, having completed its formation, the division was redeployed from near Stalingrad to the Salsk region and became part of the North Caucasus Front. Since July 1942, participated in hostilities, in August 1942 it was transformed into the 11th Guards Cavalry Division. Member of the CPSU (b) / CPSU since 1942.

Squadron commander Lieutenant K. Nedorubov as a result of sudden raids on the enemy 28 and 29 on July 1942 in the area of Pobeda and Biryuchiy farms in the Rostov region, on August 2 of 1942 near the village of Kushchevskaya, Kushchevsky district of the Krasnodar Territory, on 5 of September 1942 of the year in the village of Kurinsky in the Krasnodar region of October 16 of the year - a large number of enemy soldiers and officers were destroyed near the village of Maratuki.

By a decree of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR of October 25 of October 1943 for exemplary performance of combat missions of command on the front of the struggle against Nazi invaders and the courage and heroism of the guard shown to this, Lieutenant Nedorubov Konstantin Iosifovich was awarded the title Hero of the Soviet Union with the award of the Order of Lenin and the Medal "(No. 1302).

After a serious wound in the Carpathians in December 1943, Captain Nedorubov K.I. - in reserve. He worked in the village of Berezovskaya, Danilovsky district, Volgograd region. Died 13 December 1978 year.

He was awarded two Orders of Lenin, the Order of the Red Banner, and medals.

Honorary citizen of the village of Berezovskaya, Volgograd region.

In September 2007, in the hero city of Volgograd, a monument to the hero of Don, the complete St. George cavalier, Hero of the Soviet Union K.I., was unveiled in the memorial historical museum Nedorubov. The name of the Hero is assigned to the Volgograd Cadet (Cossack) corps.

Insight has come? If the "Bandera" are servants of the Nazis and ate children (the position of the patsreots), then the Cossacks, well, like, what can you do, they took revenge on the authorities who repressed them (which is essentially the truth). Only now the UPA fought both against the Germans and against the USSR (as opposed to the Cossacks), but still they are "beasts" who thanklessly accepted "good help" in the form of hunger and repression ...

    Welcome all. Cossacks especially. smile
It seems to me that it is necessary to revive the Cossacks. Firstly, these are very glorious traditions of our history, secondly, it is part of the Russian people with their own characteristics, and if we are talking about respect and memory for our past, then the Cossacks naturally deserve this as well. Thirdly, there is something to occupy them. Why not.
First you need to scratch and separate the grains from the chaff, that is, normal Cossacks from buffoons in St. George's crosses and trousers. Create a military educational institution for the training of Cossacks. What to do with them? No need to invent a bicycle. Let them guard the Southern and Far Eastern borders of our immense homeland as part of the Border Troops. There will simply be border guards and there will be Cossack outposts. Naturally, all this should be framed by law. Well, create at least one Cossack brigade as part of the Moscow Region. Dear friends, we must not lose the Cossacks. Why scatter such people. Let them do military service.

there is a chance to revive the Cossacks as an element of the military structure of society, but for this it is necessary to legalize rifled weapons, to allow the creation of societies like rifle unions, to develop and implement certain standards. and, accordingly, a couple of weeks a year of compulsory military training, for practicing actions as part of departments, platoons, companies. moreover, it will give earnings to our gunsmiths, and the people will toil less with foolishness.
here it is a reserve in case of war and a good counterbalance to those who have come in and spoiled from impunity

It is necessary to revive, but first, it is unambiguously generally forbidden for everyone to wear other people's medals and orders and go outside the apartment / house. False veterans are also affected. He put on someone else's order / medal, their huts came out - he sat down for a year or two.
Only now the Cossacks need to be revived not "thanks" but "in spite of". There is no need to wait for help from the state. We need to organize ourselves and start with training, especially focusing on children. Do hand-to-hand combat, shooting and nature hikes to be able to navigate the terrain. It is imperative to create private schools / gymnasiums with a focus on the Cossacks. And for the first time, choose our bureaucrats as the front of the struggle. To do this, stick to the crowd and defend the interests of those whom our officials spread rot. But at the same time remember - the Cossacks will never be on the side of the revolutionaries, no matter what beautiful slogans they hide behind. The Cossacks defend the top leadership, following the commandment "Caesar is Caesar, and God is God."
It’s best not to reinvent the wheel, but to choose Orthodoxy for the spiritual basis of the Cossacks. A person can be of any nationality, but in order to be accepted into the Cossacks, he must be Orthodox.

Cossacks are a unique military estate, subethnos ... All this is correct. But in modern realities, the Cossacks are more likely to play the role of some kind of people's combatants, the police (in the true meaning of the word). These are simple inhabitants, endowed with certain power (law enforcement) functions. Such sees the Cossacks (registered) power. Form, choral singing, feasts and dances - these are already folklore. But after all, the Cossacks, in the best times of their real existence, had the main privilege in comparison with the rest of the plebs - it was self-government according to its own, Cossack customs and laws, on Cossack lands. Without their land and freemen (within the framework of ordinary Cossack law), a Cossack turns into a little passionate Russian, or Ukrainian, tobish the average man. Is the government ready to revive the Don Army Region, or the Kuban Army, at least in a truncated form? Despite not the federal structure of Russia, and the state formations of the Caucasian and other natives (subjects of the federation), the central government is afraid of the revival of the Cossack autonomies. Why, this is a different reason to cover up.

Cossacks are a people who, by the will of fate, are more capable of military affairs than other nations, in terms of numbers they share the 2nd and 3rd places with the Tatars after the Russians. There are natural Cossacks-Don, Yaik, Terek, Kuban, and there are artificial Cossacks created by the authorities from peasants, which then came to naught. Unless the Orenburg was left, probably due to the fact that a third consisted of natural ones, only this had a bad effect on the civilian, they killed each other with such frenzy that they weren’t for example among the Urals, there was a commissure and unanimity. I believe that the Cossacks have the same right to have their own national autonomies like other Tatars, Bashkirs, Mordovians, etc. That was before the revolution. And at the expense of the service, the Cossacks need it as a dog’s fifth leg, they want to live on their land with self-government, and serve on the general basis of citizens of the Russian Federation. All the rest are burly reenactors, who have nothing to do with real Cossacks and most likely have a clinical diagnosis. In any of these organizations, hereditary Cossacks are no more than 10% and they are waiting for the fate of those troops that the state tried to create artificially.

Dear users Cossack Information and Analytical Center!

    http://kazak-center.ru/index/0-2

Our Center, established in May 2009, has gradually turned into an information portal and today is a one-of-a-kind independent Cossack portal, combining information and participants from more than hundreds of different Cossack organizations and associations, as well as free Cossacks scattered by fate around Mother Earth.

He is not subordinate to any organization and is not funded by anyone. This is a fact, as well as the fact that Cossacks serving and serving in registry and non-register Cossack organizations in Russia and other countries of the world are represented and take an active part in discussions and posting materials.

We welcome everyone who cherishes the fate of the Cossacks, without dividing them into tribal and attributed, register and public, “red” and “white”.

There are topics that are not welcomed or even prohibited on this portal. These are those that provoke criminally punishable acts and those that introduce an even greater split in the Cossacks. Read more about this in the Rules for Users.

The goal of the portal is to promote the unity of the Cossacks and help, by virtue of our capabilities, find solutions to problems and answers to urgent questions related to the revival of the Cossacks.

The portal is created on the principle of openness. Any Cossack can become one of the authors of publications or the site administrator, having gone through a simple verification procedure. To do this, just fill out an application for accreditation or introduce yourself on a special forum page. The Cossacks know their stanitsniki and will figure out for themselves whether he is who he claims to be.

The portal is not responsible for the accuracy of the information posted on its pages, especially if it is obtained from third-party sources. We are not able to verify the accuracy of all messages.

At the same time, we will be grateful if you pay attention to possible errors and inaccuracies and report it in the comments or send a separate message through the feedback form.

We are also ready to take measures for those who, by dragging certain types of materials onto the site, are trying to discredit and destroy the Cossacks and harm their formation and development.

We pin special hopes on the Cossack Watch Service. It is designed to receive messages about the brewing of threats, both to Cossack organizations and to individual Cossacks and members of their families.

I would like you to understand the main thing: KIAC is not a site administration of Cossack Information and Analytical Center. These are its participants themselves - the Cossacks and their friends, who through KIAC seek to convey and realize their plans, thoughts, feelings and hopes in real life, try to preserve and increase all the best that the Cossacks have accumulated over its history.

Given that some KIAC users unreasonably believe that our site is subordinate to the Central Military District, at the request of the ataman of the Central Cossack Army, we emphasize that KIAC is not related to the Central Military District and cannot reflect its official position (which, by the way, is obvious from the entire contents of this page )

In general, KIAC official relations with military Cossack societies and Cossack organizations can be regulated by Agreements concluded on behalf of the KAZAK-INFORM Information Agency.

      Joke.
A boy sits in the sandbox, doesn’t touch anyone, even picks a shovel. A man walks past. He stops and let’s bring up the boy, they say there’s no such fortress either, and the road is narrow and the sand is too dry ... The boy tells him:
      - Uncle, but you would not go to x ....
      Uncle, bewildered:
-Boy, and a palm on the pope for such words ....
      The boy in response:
"Yes? A shovel on the forehead !?"
I mean, by striking a real citizen with a whip (p ..... I don’t think so in the photo), you can also get the pitchfork in the side.

    Sokerin,
Where did you see the atamans, ancestral Cossacks ?! There are only retired generals of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the FSB, and this is the main criterion, not heredity. All these organizations contradict all the traditions of Cossack self-government, because there are NO Cossacks, or there is a handful who have not yet understood what they have gotten themselves into. As I understand it, you are from the central "Cossack" army. Well, when did it take shape historically? And what are his services to Russia?

Cossacks rise, Thank God! The article is good, but many on the forum either do not understand the essence, or distort the facts. Many people have a false idea that if we live in the 21st century, then it's time to uncover our pants, jump out of our skirts, etc. etc. Sin is punishable.
Morality, morality, chastity are also present in the modern life of mankind, as well as hundreds of years ago. So is the Cossacks, driven by the Orthodox faith and patriotism. The modern Cossacks are not that 10 years ago. It is a self-organizing force that, in a short historical period, recreated itself and strengthened itself.
The American way of life has pierced through the way of life of many peoples of the world, but, thank God, Russia throws off this overseas husk: evil and depraved.

The revival of the Cossacks as an estate is especially necessary now - at a turning point in history - when the Eurasian Union is reborn

Cossacks played a huge role in the creation of the Russian Empire (essentially the Eurasian Union of that time) We need Cossacks now!

Unfortunately, the Russian people have lost a number of essential qualities necessary to strengthen the position of the empire on the borders (for example, in the Caucasus and Central Asia). Real Cossacks could play a positive role in strengthening the future Union. In Kazakhstan, the Cossack movement is quite developed - and even Nazarbayev is an "honorary ataman" - but this is not the same
I would like these people, in addition to their uniform and the "honorary chieftain", to have that "past" spirit and self-respect - this requires funding and propaganda

At one time, the Cossacks helped advance the borders of Kazakhstan to the south and protect Alma Ata (then Faithful). I have a book by Martha Alcott describing the Uzun Agach battle, where 20 Kazakh militias led by Khan Syuntelek, together with Cossacks and the governor, defeated the 000 thousandth Kokand army of aggressors, trained and equipped by the British - with English advisers, weapons and uniforms (very similar to aggression Georgia in Ossetia)

Book not found on the net - excerpt from a random site

... "In honor of the Battle of Uzun-Agach, Uzun-Agach Boulevard (now Pushkin Street) appeared in the city of Verny. In Pushkin Square (now a park named after 28 Panfilov Guardsmen), the same cannons were installed with which the Kokand people were defeated. Agach hill, a witness of the famous battle, in memory of the fallen soldiers who laid down their heads for the liberation of the Kazakh people from the Kokand yoke, a memorial was erected in 1885, and in 1905, a 20-meter obelisk made of strong granite blocks stood on the site of a wooden monument.
    .........
In 2007, under the leadership of the Supreme Ataman of the Union of Cossack Public Associations Yu.F. Zakharov, the monument was restored. And today he again recalls the glorious battle of our ancestors, which showed that you can defeat any numerically superior opponent only by teaming up. Standing in the same ranks shoulder to shoulder, the Russians and Kazakhs are invincible!

Thanks - I looked at the links. Dirt and shame. Our Kazakhstani Cossacks share property, regalia of ranks and fin flows. These are not the Cossacks that we need - I doubt that they will help protect Alma Ata as real Cossacks in 1860

Again - by themselves they will not be reborn - the firm hand of the state is needed - except for financing. There should be some kind of state program with the participation of special services from Kazakhstan and Russia, but probably now hands won’t reach it - maybe later

The army of attackers consisted of 12 people. under the command of the ruler of Kokan Alimkul, from whom up to 000 commanders and more than 90 people of infantry and cavalry were killed.

That is the point. Instead of collegiality, hell knows what’s going on.
For ten years he was Ataman Ovsyannikov, in whom practically - raiding
tried to take the power of Zakharov.
Here in Kaliningrad, a similar story was BOKO, which
Ataman was headed by Medvedev, then came the general-corral of Ukraine
Danilevsky (he is in the same shoble of self-proclaimed enarals by reference,

who organized the second BOKO, at the same time changed into Cossack’s command
    Colonel of the Russian Cossacks.

Right now, they share in the courts (which Danilevsky lost) - which of them
    typeO - "real side".

On the Don - the same thing: two days before the 3rd World Congress of Cossacks,
in 2008, in the same place, in Novocherkassk, an "alternative congress" was held,
which also had a lot - 418 delegates.

Similarly, in all other regions and regions, unfortunately .....

Principle: divide and conquer - in action, just simple Cossacks
these feuds completely muddied their heads, which is why many are simply
departed from the Cossacks. Tired of pouring mud instead of working

In Krasnodar and Rostov, really mummers! Whom are they protecting from? At least 200 years old, there are no local Aboriginal people. Loot is washed. And we have already agreed in the Krasnodar Territory: the indigenous people! At first there were primates, then for a long time there was no one, then Cossacks appeared in the Caucasus. And in the Cadet Corps, in a lesson, they directly tell the children that their enemies are the local indigenous population. And no kindling of ethnic hatred.
And if you hang up awards, then crosses and orders are hung up, whose I do not know. Logically, the German should hang!

In January this year, a cadet class was opened at Barguzinsky secondary school

“The Cossacks were outfitted, as expected,” the Cossack chieftain Valery Kolesnikov reports.

When asked how many people in the class cheerfully answer:

    - 23 people - three platoons: one platoon of boys and two - girls.

At the last words he explains:

    - My wife - the director of Barguzinsky high school - Yesaul, also walks in a tunic, as I have, and in a skirt, as it should be a Cossack.
“Like Daria from The Quiet Don”? - I ask. He laughs good-naturedly in response.

But Cossacks from the cadet class go in camouflage, but this, according to the promise of the chieftain, is temporary. They will sew the uniform in the studio, their own, Cossack. By May 9, the Cossacks of the Barguzin village, as they call the village of Barguzin, plan to perform with full parade and equipment: "horse, crowded, and armed," as they say. In the meantime, the Cossacks do not have horses, but according to the promise of the chieftain, they will certainly be. And the Cossacks will be taught to ride horses in order to protect people. To the question from whom the Cossacks will protect the Barguzins, the Cossack chieftain listed:

    - We will protect public order, conduct military - patriotic activities, military - educational work, and protect the forest. Only fifteen points of what is prescribed for the Barguzin Cossacks.

    - Would you like a Mongolian horse that the Transbaikal Cossacks had before? - I'm interested. The fighting qualities of this stunted horse during the 1812 war forced everyone to mock her mocking.

“Of course I would,” said the chieftain with emotion.

The history of the Barguzin Cossacks dates back to the distant 17th century. The village owes them its origin. Nevertheless, Valery Kolesnikov is the third chieftain after Vasily Galkin, who founded the Barguzinsky prison in 1648 and Vasily Kolesnikov, the last local chieftain who lived in the 17th century. The plans of the new Cossacks are grandiose: now the Cossacks will conduct the protection of schools and kindergartens on a contractual basis. In addition, there is a desire to recreate the Barguzinsky prison, as a tourist attraction.

“The funds for this are not needed much, maybe there will be people who want to support us,” says ataman Kolesnikov.

The Transbaikal Cossack army, created in 1851, was not ethnically homogeneous; it consisted of Russians, Buryats, Evenks. It was typical for Cossacks to consider themselves Cossacks.

“There are three cornerstones for a Cossack — the Orthodox faith, the defense of the Fatherland and the will,” says the Cossack chieftain Kolesnikov and is going to raise a shift for the Cossacks with his wife.

There are three cornerstones for a Cossack - the Orthodox faith, the defense of the Fatherland and the will

if you look at materials on Cossacks, you will see that about a third of the Cossacks did not adhere to Orthodoxy - there were other faiths, for example, the Ural (Yaitsky) Cossacks were 95% Old Believers, and they threw out dishes from which Orthodox water drank.
about the defense of the fatherland - all the riots and uprisings in the Russian empire were raised by the Cossacks. and after the defeat of the Zaporizhzhya section - some of the Cossacks - the Krasnoyarsk citizens - became citizens of the Turkish sultan.
Well, as for the will - from the late 17th, early 18th centuries, the Cossacks received mandated chieftains, had a rigid vertical of command and were used to suppress all manifestations of "will" - they performed the functions of the internal troops of the empire.
I really love the Cossacks - this is my people, but it’s not necessary to reproduce the popular prints of blissful pictures, unfortunately you can’t rewrite history.

the main problem of the Cossacks now is that they are completely crushed under themselves and are used in their own interests by the local power, for which they are extras, and vigilantes, and an obedient grateful electorate, all Cossack leaders are pocket six of local tycoons, and they are selected from the expelled or removed cops, or retired military men who have "proven" themselves to have connections with the local elite, but there is also a third part - the bawdy ensigns who put on the colonel's shoulder straps, and all this dregs does all this just for the sake of their own pocket. Well, of course, the show is full at all levels.
I myself am a Cossack, my grandfather in the Cossack units has reached almost Berlin since I was 39, and I love the history of My People. But in this form, the Cossacks are being plucked to please the local bureaucrats for their base interests. So long as it is dead.
