Putin returned historical names to military units with reference to Ukrainian cities

As stated in the document, the assignment of honorary titles to various parts was made "in order to preserve the glorious military historical traditions, educate servicemen in the spirit of devotion to the Fatherland and loyalty to military duty." A number of military units returned their historical names, including the names of Ukrainian cities in memory of the participation of these units in the liberation of Ukraine during the Great Patriotic War.
By his decree, the President of Russia returned the honorary name “Guards Lviv” to the 6th Tank Regiment, the 68th Tank Regiment - the Guards Zhytomyr-Berlin, and the 163rd Tank Regiment - the “Guards Nezhinsky”. But, of course, not only the names of Ukrainian cities returned to the names of military units. The whole of Europe is widely represented here, military formations got their names depending on the territories that part liberated during the Second World War. In total, the changes affected 11 military formations. Among them: the 381st artillery regiment received the name "381st guards artillery Warsaw Red Banner, the orders of the Suvorov and Kutuzov regiment", the 933th anti-aircraft regiment was named "Verkhnedneprovsky", the 90th tank the division became the "Guards Vitebsk-Novgorod". Other military unit names include the 856th Guards Self-Propelled Artillery Kobrin Regiment, 102nd Motorized Rifle Slonim-Pomeranian Regiment, 400th Self-Propelled Transylvanian Artillery Regiment, 144th Guards Yelninsk Motorized Rifle Division, 150- I am the Idritsko-Berlin Motorized Rifle Division. "
It is not difficult to guess which wave of negative will rush to Russia from the territory of the “neighboring country”. It is possible that today we will hear "about Putin's insidious plans" to seize the Ukraine with the help of those units who are named after Ukrainian cities.
