“All member countries of the organization should continue to adhere to the“ Shanghai spirit ”, hold high the banner of peaceful development and cooperation, not be locked up in a small group, fenced off from others, not engage in petty calculations of geopolitical games. It is necessary to promote the construction of international relations based on mutual respect, justice and mutual benefit, "said Van Yi, whose words are quoted by the RIA"News"With reference to the website of the PRC Foreign Ministry.

As you can see, the Chinese minister in a rather diplomatic form emphasized that the Shanghai Cooperation Organization is an alternative to the existing supranational structures that serve to a large extent the interests of Washington and transnational corporations. The SCO, which declares a commitment to justice and respect for the national sovereignty of all states, forms completely different, new principles of international interaction, and in this capacity should grow and spread its influence as widely as possible.

And this peaceful “expansion” will be possible only if these principles do not remain empty declarations, and in the organization of cooperation other countries see not only an alternative to the predatory American “new world order”, but also a possible defense.
It is not by chance that during the current summit, a document was adopted approving the program of cooperation of the SCO member states in countering terrorism, separatism and extremism for the 2019-2021 years.
The economic basis of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) will sooner or later be supplemented by political and military components, many experts say.
Recall that one of the steps in this direction was the meeting of defense ministers of the SCO member states last year, which was attended by the heads of defense departments of Kazakhstan, China, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan, the SCO secretary general and the director of the executive committee of the regional anti-terrorism cooperation organization .
Actually, the current situation in the world and the destructive tendencies that have intensified even more after the new US administration came to power are forcing the states of Eurasia, defending their sovereignty and intending to be guided by national interests, to look for ways to increase their security and counter external pressure.
That is, the very logic of what is happening is pushing the SCO countries to give the organization more of the features of a military alliance.
The situation in the Middle East and Central Asia clearly shows that the West continues to use terrorism to advance its global interests, including to put pressure on countries rejecting American dictate.
So it is not surprising that the fight against terrorism became one of the most discussed issues a year ago, at a meeting of defense ministers and now at the summit of heads of state.
The problems associated with the IG and Dzhebhat an-Nusroy, which were banned in Russia, have long gone beyond the limits of the Middle East region, representing a global threat, including for the SCO members, and therefore wider support for Russian peacekeeping efforts participants is necessary and reasonable.
Moreover, the situation in countering world terrorism is aggravated by the inefficiency of the “collective West”. One of the main “pain points” that requires the increased influence of the participating countries is quite clearly marked - Afghanistan, in which the situation threatens the “export” of terrorist activity to neighboring countries.
As Wang Yi pointed out, Afghanistan and the Afghan issue as a whole are one of the top priorities for the Shanghai Cooperation Organization, since many countries of the organization border it.
“Since many SCO members are neighbors of Afghanistan, the country itself and the problem of Afghanistan are considered by the organization as one of the top priorities. The SCO consultation mechanism on Afghanistan at the deputy ministerial level was restarted, and on Sunday certain agreements were signed regarding this issue, ”said Van Y on CGTN.
He made it clear that the SCO countries are ready to take a more active part in solving the Afghan problem. In particular, by rendering every possible assistance to the process of national reconciliation.
Recall that in recent days, against the backdrop of the intensification of the process of establishing peace and reconciliation, terrorists in Afghanistan have carried out a series of terrorist acts aimed at disrupting stabilization.
It should also be noted that the CSTO bodies recently stated the activation of the structures of the Islamic State terrorist organization banned in Russia in the north of the IRA, and an armed clash of border guards of the RT with drug traffickers took place on the Afghan-Tajik border on June 10.

The possibilities of the SCO, including in matters of security, have radically increased after the final registration of the membership of India and Pakistan in the organizations that took part in this summit as full members.
As we see, the Shanghai Cooperation Organization is acquiring a completely new international dimension. The SCO combines more than 60 percent of the territory of Eurasia, approximately 45 percent of the population of our planet, and the member states of the organization produce more than 25 percent of world GDP.
And most importantly: in the case of the finalization of its defense component, this structure becomes the most powerful military force in the world, capable not only of successfully resisting any threats, but also of preventing their occurrence, even without resorting to military force.
Moreover, it will open up opportunities for the formation of a new legal international system capable of doing away with the dictatorship of the West, Eurocentricism and the concept of the “golden billion”.
