Marines in Kamchatka received a batch of new armored personnel carriers

The Marine Corps, stationed in Kamchatka, continues to re-equip with modern BTR-82A, reports press office Eastern District.

In addition to the new equipment that is already in service with the units, another batch of 30 and armored vehicles was delivered to the place of deployment by ships. The equipment is registered and accepted for operation.

New armored personnel carriers will replace outdated BTR-80 and transporters MTLB.

In the summer period of training, gunners and driver-mechanics BTR-82A will hold practical exercises at the Radigino training ground. During the field exit of the Pacific Marines fleet They will be engaged in working out driving new and heavier combat vehicles, as well as improving the skills of firing at targets from a remotely controlled module with a 30-mm gun.

The district recalled that the BTR-82A armored personnel carrier is a deeply modernized version of the BTR-80 and BTR-80A.
