25-I rifle under the Ural. Part of 3. Warm and Usov

17
13 January 1919 The commander of the 1 Brigade, I. S. Kutyakov, sent the following report to the head of the division, G. K. Voskanov:

“I donate that on the front of the brigade entrusted to me the day passed without changes. Kavpolk 22 th Infantry Division left wing took the Hut. Sweet. Consequently, between f. Red and hut. Sweet formed a broad breakthrough into which the enemy bursts in and walks along xx. Astafyev, Pogadaev, Pylaev, Savichev and accelerates our wagons. I asked the commander of the 1 th brigade of the 22 th Nicholas Division, so that the latter took xx. Astafev, Pogadaev. I sent to the hut. Saveliev and Pogadaev squadron of cavalry brigade communications to provide second-rate transports from the attack of the Cossacks. On 'F. Red Cossacks hourly make attempts to attack from the front, flanks and rear. Telegraph to the Nikolaev division so that tomorrow, at any cost, it should occupy xx. Astafyev, Yaganov, Yasnov, otherwise I cannot vouch for my right flank. ”

On January 14, the Cossacks launched an offensive against Red and Stone, which was repulsed. The commander of the 1 th brigade requested that Novoozerniy occupy and guard the 224 th regiment of Aksenov, as h.kh. Astafyev, Yaganov and Yasnov of the 22-th Nicholas Division are not engaged, and in the broad breakthrough between the f. Red and hut. The Cossacks pass through Sladkov, disturbing the right flank of the 1 Brigade. The brigade commander was going to pull off the 218 th regiment of f. Novoozerny, take them h.h. Yaganov and Yasnov and to ensure the flanks and rear of their units from enemy raids.

To this the brigade commander added that if Aksenov occupied f. Novoozerny, the 1-I brigade will take more hut. Lebedev, Usov and Lapilin. On the same day, an order was received by the Chief-25, in which the brigade was tasked to “go on the offensive, take x. x Lapilin and Lebedev and stubbornly defend. "

Kombrig gave the following order on January 15:
1. To the commander of the 218 regiment, Mikhailov (two battalions, a cavalry platoon, two guns): in 5 hours to come out of Novoozerniy and take Lebedev.
2. The commander of the advanced detachment of the 218 regiment Petrovsky (one battalion, a team of foot reconnaissance, two cavalry platoons, two guns): in the 4 hours to come out of Talovskiy and take the Big Usov.
3. The chief of the advanced detachment of the 217 regiment Ryazantsev (the composition is like that of Petrovsky, with the addition of a third cavalry platoon): in the 6 hours, step out of Kamenny and take Lapilin.
4. Time and. D. Panitsky, commander of the 217 regiment (staff - like Mikhailov): occupy Kamenny and t. Red, then send one company with two machine guns in the huts. Kuzmin to guard carts.
5. To the commander of the 25 Cavalry Regiment Surov (four squadrons, one gun): in the 6 hours to come out of the f. Red on hut. Astafyev to assist the 22 of the Garibaldi cavalry regiment of the 22 division in the occupation of the Hut. Astafev, and then return to the f. Red.

The brigade commander reported the following about the execution of this order:
“I am reporting that the order for the brigade No. 03 has been executed in parts exactly. The 22 th Garibaldi cavalry regiment of the Nikolaev division, with the support of the 25 cavalry regiment of Surov, took the hut. Astafev, from where the enemy fled in panic. The 218 regiment without a fight is occupied by xx. Lebedev and B. Usov. The detachment of the 217 regiment of Ryazantsev was hooted. Lapilin, the Cossacks numbering 1500 (13, 11 and 16 Ural horse regiments) ran in panic, leaving 3 guns, 2 machine guns, 1400 shells and many other property. The guns were taken by Zhukov's horse reconnaissance. This successful maneuver was done thanks to the courage and skill of all the commanders of the detachment. Especially in this battle, the commander of the foot reconnaissance Zlodeishev stood out, coming up with the team close to the farmstead, overturned the enemy, who had taken on horseback attack. Just at that moment, the rest of the companies approached and finally defeated the enemy. And I inform you that in the battle of January 12, General Martynov was wounded by Krasny in the hand.
Time and. D. Commander 1 brigade Plyasunkov. Politkom Gorbachev.

This report was compiled somewhat tendentiously.

In fact, at the time when Ryazantsev's squad entered the battle, the commander of the 218 regiment of the first regiment Petrovsky had already taken B. Usov. Because of this, the Cossacks abandoned their guns and hastily retreated in the direction of Rubezhniy.

The 16 and January 17 units of the 1 brigade stood still, as the 190 and 191 regiments of the 22 rifle division did not move forward. The command of the brigade all the time requested vr. and D. Kombriga-1 of Ilyin's 22 Division to occupy the Kolpakov cordon, but it never came to that.

By order of the 25 Division of 15, January number 036, the brigade was tasked with:
“Continue the offensive, take the Warm stanitsa and the Shirokaya-Lop tract .; as the left flank of our division advances, simultaneously with the 3 brigade, take up Rubezhniy and Trebukhin, strengthen and contact the left flank of the Nikolaev division and the 3 brigade. "

On the 3 hours of January 18, two battalions of the 217 regiment and the 25 th cavalry regiment launched an offensive on the Warm, and the forward detachment of the 218 regiment of the Petrovsky regiment on Usov. Other parts remained in place.

At about 9 hours, the 217 th rifle and 25 th cavalry regiments approached Warm. The enemy from one gun fired several shots. After that, White’s well-aimed machine-gun fire began, but the Red infantry continued the offensive. The Cossack infantry (about 100 bayonets) quickly began to withdraw to Chuvash. The Reds occupied Warm and, in the process of pursuing, repulsed the 500 attack with the sabers of the 5 Urals Regiment. Cossack cavalry moved in the direction of Chuvash. The 25 Cavalry Regiment did not pursue it, since at that time the enemy began to fire Warm with artillery fire. As a result of this battle, the 217 regiment lost 1 killed and 78 wounded. Losses of the enemy are unknown, but they left in the trenches of 26 rifles.

Fighting with 14 on January 25

A detachment of Petrovsky with a small exchange of fire took the same day, m. Usov.

By the evening of January 18, the order of the beginning-25 No. 037 was received, in which the brigade was assigned the task: “To go on a decisive offensive from the Red and the Shirokaya Lop tract. on the city of Uralsk, keeping the left flank in the direction of Rubezhniy ”. To perform this task vr. and. The commander of the 1 Brigade issued an order, on the basis of which the 218 regiment, with the addition of the horse reconnaissance of the 217 regiment, in the 3 hour of the 19 January, performed on B. and M. Usov to occupy the Rubezhniy, two battalions of the 217 regiment and the 25 th cavalry regiment in the 4 hour marched from Teplyi to occupy the Chuvash outpost, and the Ryazantsev detachment was transferred to the Brigade reserve in Teplyy.

Cossack troops were grouped against the 1 brigade of the 22 division as follows: in the Pavlychev region, a horse brigade (10 and 5 Ural regiments) of Colonel Shadrin, in Chuvash — 6, 11 and 13, Ural shelves; in the Rubezhniy area, the 16 and 8 Ural horse regiments, the Semenovsky cavalry regiment, the Semenov and Krasnorechensk rifle brigades.

Near the 9 watch, the chain of the 217 rifle regiment and the 25 th cavalry regiment approached the Chuvash regiment. The enemy opened out of four guns and a large number of machine guns accurate fire. Red chains dashes began to move forward. The open area around Chuvash and the presence of ditches around the outpost represented many convenient positions for defense. Around 10, the chain of the 217 Pugachevsky Regiment, not reaching 800 m before the enemy's trenches, rushed to the attack. The Cossacks could not stand it and began hastily to retreat to the south. The Pugachevs and the cavalry regiment pursued them and occupied M. Sladkov, Fedulov and Zamorenov, where they stopped for the night. The 6, 11 and 13 Ural horse regiments moved to Novy.

It all reminds me of how we are getting divorced ... My wife has everything ... Her husband is cowards ... I still can’t understand ... How did it happen that Russia, after the collapse of the USSR, turned out to be everything ... And clearly I did not find any explanation for this ...

Well, it was laid down in the very first documents of the party about a hundred years ago ....

The high saturation of relatively small parts with fire weapons played a role.

In fact, both sides fought for United and Indivisible Russia (even Cossacks).
It is not surprising - because the main in the Republic of Ingushetia was the administrative-territorial (provincial) division - which, in general, is desirable for the unity of the state. It was then that the Bolsheviks began to impose a national principle in the organization (for some reason) of the national republics - without thinking about the consequences.
Moreover, even the dreams of the Kazakh elite, and after the actual collapse of the empire, did not go beyond national autonomy within the framework of the Russian Republic. And before the revolution, it was so general - the territory of modern Kazakhstan was divided into 3 general governorates - Turkestan, Stepnoye and Orenburg, and the Bukeevsky horde was subordinate to the Astrakhan governor, and the Mangyshlak district - to the Transcaspian.
Against the background of the upcoming national games of the new international "power", the Cossack territories were doomed, but it is still a pity that the Cossacks failed to defend Uralsk.

Well, how the Cossacks fought for the "one and indivisible" is well described in "Quiet Don" at Sholokhov.

Well, how the Cossacks fought for the "one and indivisible" is well described in "Quiet Don" at Sholokhov.

Yes, even the Cossacks had more state thinking than those who prayed to the international.
Well, the fact that the Don Army, as part of the All-Union Union of Liberal Democratic Forces, fought for the "One Indivisible Russia" - and says, like Sholokhov, that
both sides fought for United and Indivisible Russia (even Cossacks)

Everything can be said. Zhirinovsky and then enough. Sholokhov described a specific moment when the Cossacks refused to go beyond the borders of the Don Don Army area, giving Denikin the pleasure of fighting the Red Army.

Sholokhov described a specific moment when the Cossacks refused to go beyond the borders of the Don Don

I know this episode. And there was enough self-sufficiency - especially among the Kuban Cossacks (it is well known that their Rada opposed Denikin in the 19-20s).
            But another thing is important.
A.I. Denikin - the leader of the All-Union Socialist League of the South Armed Forces.
The main slogan of the All-Union Union of Independent Forces: United and Indivisible Russia.
The backbone of the All-Union Socialist League: Volunteer, Don, Kuban (formerly Caucasian) armies.
Participating in the campaigns of the All-Union Socialist Republic of Ukraine in the name of United and Indivisible Russia (including Moscow) - that is, not in words, but in practice the Don and Kuban Cossacks fought for United and Indivisible Russia.
About the Bolsheviks. With all due respect to their achievements, good wishes, the road to hell is paved. Both Gorbi and Yeltsin are the feeding-offs of the Soviet regime, which failed or did not want to keep this power (and this is a crime against the people of the USSR, who voted in a referendum to preserve the Union). That is, the authorities ultimately guilty of the collapse of the Union, the socio-economic defeat of Russia and the impoverishment of the bulk of its population. Yes, and the basis of the current oligarchy is a union of former special services and criminals (both of which are also greatly cultivated during the collapse of the Union), who continue to plunder Russia - now hiding behind beautiful patriotic slogans in the face of a shitty foreign and domestic political (and largely created by them) of the situation.

And where is the guarantee that at one time the novel did not undergo ideological adjustment? Personally, I have no confidence.

And Denikin's memoirs, "Essays on Russian Troubles," also underwent ideological processing?
There, about the fighting qualities of Cossacks in the GV, it is even more skeptical than what is written in “Quiet Don”.
