Everything is right - the technologies are well-developed, and the own aircraft are saturated with this technology.
It is time to move for export.
Our developers, however, wish not to stop there and strive for more advanced UAV models assembled from their own Russian components.

Mwa ha ha ... Iran worse with UAV. laughing Yes, it’s up to us to buy UAVs from the Iranians. For example, reconnaissance and strike UAV Mohajer-6 (in series since February 2018):

How is our domestic strike UAV doing there?

Iran has direct deliveries of samples from Israel and the United States. In Russia, this is not even so. They are engaged in reverse engineering (the entire component base in China). I think the problem is only in satellite control and, accordingly, with range.

There are: UAVs "Outpost" and "Outpost" - in girlhood "Searcher MkII" and "BirdEye 400". smile
But with drone UAVs, yes, an ambush. However, what prevented us from establishing contacts with the same Iran, when that acquired samples?

Israel is a technological giant and contacts with them are important. Moreover, at that time everything was easier.

If you consider that it is licensed from Israel, then:
    1. components are all replaced
    2. upgraded without the participation of developers

"Orlan-10" seems to be domestic. This is an Israeli Outpost.
A year ago, they wrote that the Eagles make up a third of the fleet of domestic UAVs and are the most used type of UAV in Syria, along with the Outpost.

By the way, it’s fun to see what our military-industrial complex offered only 10 years ago in the niche of Orlan-10. The complex of 6 UAVs required as many as 4 KAMAZ trucks, and the UAV itself weighed 50 kg, stayed in the air for only 2-3 hours with a reconnaissance radius of 40 km and carried a line TV camera belay
And then came the furniture maker - and the whole military industry gesheft for the sale of the army of slightly turned developments of Soviet times went to pieces. laughing

Alas, this is now a world practice. The same Yankees made a fuss at the time when it turned out that the military electronics purchased from BAE Systems contained microcircuits formally Japanese, but in fact - Chinese (more precisely, the Japanese division of the Chinese company).
And already in light UAVs of the Orlan-10 class, the main criterion of which is cheapness, there are no alternatives to Chinese components yet.

You can’t replace everything ... But in more serious devices, this is critical. The outpost, like they wrote, was also modernized without the participation of Israel and it is already independent of the components.

This is an easy reconnaissance UAV, inexpensive, in the competence of a company commander. In any case, calculation is given to RTGr in our army. In the world there are few countries to which nobody sells anything except Russia? At least to South America or some CIS countries. Moreover, even if you don’t need it, it can still be sold to those who have nowhere to go. Do you need fighters? We have an action, Orlan goes to every second fighter.

I think the machine will find buyers. At least within the framework of the CSTO. The use of one type of UAV by the armies of our different countries simplifies the information interaction. For example, ours launch Orlan, and information from it can be accepted by our allies. Or vice versa.
In terms of mass and dimensions, everything is quite compact. On the Internet you can find pictures of containers with remote controls and catapults.
