Keeping up with the US: Arab countries impose sanctions on Hezbollah

On Wednesday, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Bahrain, Oman, Qatar and the United Arab Emirates imposed sanctions against the leadership of the Hezbollah movement, and those who support it, reports RIA News SPA message.




The blacklist includes 10 people, five of whom are members of the movement’s council. The property of these individuals and assets will be frozen.

These actions were undertaken in partnership with the United States, the Co-Chair of the Terrorist Financing Targeting Center (TFTC) and other countries participating in the center: Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar and the United Arab Emirates,
the report said.

Also on Wednesday, the US Treasury Department imposed restrictions on three people associated with Hezbollah, and another Mali citizen, an IG fighter (banned in the Russian Federation). All property of these persons on American territory will be blocked, US citizens are prohibited from conducting any business with them.

Recall that the Lebanese Hezbollah movement is recognized as a terrorist organization, in particular, in the United States, Canada, Israel, Egypt, several EU countries and the Persian Gulf.
