Out "Warrior": Americans showed a soldier of the future

115
Recently, individual fighter equipment began to play an important role. Different countries of the world are developing "battle suits" that can create the most comfortable and safe conditions for a soldier. In our country, as you know, today we are developing the outfits "Warrior-3" and "Warrior-4". The latter, by the way, will include elements of the exoskeleton.

Americans are not far behind. The other day they presented their vision of an individual suit of a fighter of the future. It integrates various systems of protection, control of the external situation and the life support of a soldier. For maximum comfort, the suit has an adaptive microclimate system that allows the fighter to operate equally effectively in different climatic conditions. The new development includes elements of the exoskeleton, which help the soldier to develop greater speed when moving, applying for this purpose relatively less forces.

Communication equipment and communications embedded in equipment can transmit and receive information in real time from other combat units on the battlefield, be it a drone, a tank, a helicopter, or a soldier like that. All important information about the battlefield, as well as the state of the body of the fighter is displayed on the LCD display, which is mounted in the helmet.

The control unit systems, as well as batteries, are in a backpack behind a fighter.

This is a true observation, because the helmet-suit should be mounted on the shoulders as a continuation of the reservation of the body. The tendency of booking an infantryman has its limits and will soon be replaced by robotic means with elements of intelligence ... We already have Uranus-9 in the form of a minitank, Americans and anthropic samples are trying ... With the increasing role of electronics, batteries become integral equipment of a soldier, according to To this and our Warriors we need a hinge and photo panels in addition ..

Already there are helmets and frames for the same downhill, including the ability to rotate your head with little or no restraint. It only costs a lot of big money and is made to order for a specific person. You can search on the Internet yourself, these systems were advertised several times at competitions.

if it’s in the head and not on the tangent, then this decrease in functions is unambiguous (the reaction speed is a reasonable idea in general) and the main effect is that you were knocked down and you are already starting to take care of yourself, though you survived.

The most important part in this cartoon is the battery in the backpack. So far, there are no batteries that will seriously help the infantryman. No and not foreseen in the foreseeable future. Therefore, our developers better focus on real, feasible projects. The main thing, I believe, is to facilitate the armor and provide communications protected from the enemy’s electronic warfare.

This is the simplest thing that you can hang on your chest from 12,7mm. But there is aluminum armor, the weight of which will be already 25% lighter - 40.5 kg. You can also make a composite of an aluminum layer and a layer of ceramics and keep within 35kg. What are 1000kg wet dreams? Have forgotten how to count?

The first compartment is protected by heavy exoskeletons with armor, the second compartment is wearing class 4 body armor and helmets. The operator AGS-17 and the calculation of 82mm mortar notice their race across the field. The exoskeleton squad has a chance to run to cover without any loss at all. They showed nonsense. These are, most likely, these types of equipment will definitely not be. In the sense of widely used. And now, in order:
    1) It's expensive. The greatest number of losses is caused by high-explosive fragmentation. Such suits protect them badly from them. Something like sapper equipment is required, but at times easier.
    2) A group of such super soldiers of the future is ambushed and the enemy, having destroyed it, gets full access to the data inside such battle groups, their negotiations, locations, etc.
    3) The developers completely forgot about electronic warfare and suppression. I remind you that rockets carrying explosive magnetic generators, manufactured in the 70 of the last century, easily extinguish all modern electronics, including airplanes, satellites, electronics-stuffed armored vehicles and communications. And, if the guns and personal weapons work from electrical circuits, then they turn off. Such a soldier will need to carry another 40-50 kg of screens that protect his smart equipment from different radiation.
    4) On the approach means of remote exposure to the body and psyche. As far as I know, prototypes already exist. It has not yet reached widespread use, but people have been fighting for thousands of years, so it will certainly come! And so all such a brave soldier, equipped with dozens of sensors and super modern equipment, writhes in hysterical seizures with foam at the mouth. Shitting on his pants, arms and legs, he twists the whips and that and look, remotely inspire to shoot himself. But for training in the use of all these devices, the preparation time will be spent, like for a modern pilot, or an astronaut.
Conclusion: So far, all these developments are work on the table)))

So I can recall the teachings of the NATO bloc, held in 1997, or 98 year (at the end of that century, therefore it has long been therefore not accurate to say). When it was planned to bombard the air group with missiles with explosive magnetic generators, anti-aircraft actions, manufactured by the USSR, 1975-85. Resistance to such attacks was tested by the NATO Air Force. As a result, it was revealed that one such missile, already 20 years ago, at that time, was able to disable a group of up to 170 aircraft at once, together with the AWACS control center. That is, drop them from the sky, putting out the on-board electronics. Now they are silent about this fact, but it happened. (leaked to print)
Just in the dashing 90, in Russia it was not before that. Moreover, these are explosive magnetic generators working on large-sized artificial crystals, subjected to special processing (the technology has been secret after 40 years). I only know that for continuous coverage of space, over long distances and even through half-meter reinforced concrete, the processing accuracy exceeds that of diamonds, about 200 (!) Times. And of course, the technology is expensive. I remember finding a comparative analysis of the cost, which indicated that such a rocket at a price close to half the cost of a single-entrance nine-story residential building.

In general, you are right, but another thing is that at the beginning of the 20th century, military theorists also believed that tanks were expensive and inefficient, and then equipment made such a jump in XNUMX years ...
It is clear that what they showed is a very big convention. But the need to increase the protection of the infantryman and maintain his mobility forces to create such projects. In addition, in fact, now there are already almost all the necessary technologies and / or developments for creating heavy serial infantry equipment:
          1. Passive and active exoskeletons are already with us and the "partners". The first can even be seen in the photographs of our sappers in Palmyra.
          2. Communication systems as the Yankees show them - this is really nonsense, but, for example, we have an “iPhone for the military” (except for navigation aids, ZAS, a calculator, a closed messenger and a simple notepad, you don’t need to manage all the ammunition anymore).
          3. Bronik, etc. - A good, but a heavy set is available for attack sappers.
          4. Actually, the only difficulty is the power source (you need a cheap and easy one), but it will appear over time.
Given the trends and role of the infantry, there is no doubt that in the 20-30 years. In the 100st century, we will see serial and mass versions of this equipment from all the leading military powers. It’s clear that this will not be a XNUMX-meter OCR, but something like sets of assault equipment with some kind of passive exoskeleton of XNUMX%.

By the way, about the power source is "cheap and easy." It could have been used for ten years now. The question is that in our country they do not want to pay for such know-how. Of course, the number of different smart devices on the battlefield will increase. In Russia, all this happens through thorns to the stars. And it is desirable that this should be given free of charge))) In addition, all this will play a supporting role in the interaction of battlefield means. And that is why, one of the points I described an ambush on fighters with "smart" technology, in order to then monitor the negotiations and interactions.

      1. In the beginning, everything is always expensive. Hang on spetsur, then on the marines, and then to the rest comes. And in general, can can afford.
It is easier to defend yourself from splinters than from a bullet with a core. Who knows how it will distribute armor.
      2. Will not receive. There are various verification methods.
      3. Not easy and do not quench. You can suppress the radar signal (temporarily), but in order to disable the electrician you need completely different powers. And they also protect against this, not necessarily the screens - excess headroom, filters, etc.
      4. When something like this appears, then there will be countermeasures, for now there is nothing to talk about.

Maybe this particular work will go "to the table", but without such works, nothing will move forward.

I will answer the latest 2:
I came across articles where the principles of the impact of explosive magnetic generators were explained. Large power is generated in them just by the explosion itself. But they exist different. Disabling electrical circuits, as it turned out in practice, are like a solid aircraft, and remain expensive to manufacture. And this is the main obstacle why they are not widespread so far. Throw away millions at a time, not a single army is ready. The principles of operation are simple. Most modern electronic circuits use parts on flint and some other (I won’t lie, I don’t remember) crystals. And these crystals, as it turned out, when exposed to electromagnetic waves of a certain length, lose their working qualities. According to the work of electrical circuits, everything turned out to be even simpler, the electromagnetic wave from the explosion creates an internal current strength, which leads to the breakdown of closely located circuits and wires. For example, the motor winding burns out. But all this happens if the device is turned on and is in operation. For de-energized equipment, explosive magnetic generators are harmless.
And the last one. It is far from a secret that the human nervous system works by transmitting physical vibrations, chemical signals, and microcurrents. Even 40 years ago, in old Soviet magazines, there were articles about experiments on animals, in the field of exposure to the psyche, using electromagnetic signals. Naturally, the articles were more focused on medicine. After these works, there was information that many countries, including the USSR, adopted an international resolution on the ban on the development of psychotronic weapons. And the use for the same medical purposes, of course, no one forbade. From which it becomes obvious that over the past years, experience in using such influences has been accumulated and the military application is being stopped, the very legislative acts. Therefore, when a number of some countries gain an edge in the areas of interaction between troops, accuracy of fire and protective equipment, someone else may not give a damn about international legal norms, because they will die anyway.

So many ridicule ... perhaps this is true in some points, but there are still a lot of questions to the technical side of the issue. But when we are discussing Warrior 3 with an exoskeleton and other bells and whistles (in which it is VERY similar to the American counterpart, including a helmet with an indication on the glass), then we begin to praise right away. Let's treat other people's similar developments without arrogance. And it’s just like on the Censor, there is so much poison that it is disgusting to read. If you criticize, it’s well-reasoned in the case, and do not forget to compare with what we do.

They can create something more chances and more, but WHAT? Is the device concept chosen correctly? How well are individual solutions worked out? Combat stability? What are the prospects for further development, modernization potential? And, perhaps most importantly, how much will it all cost? There are too many questions, but the latest developments of the overseas defense industry are not particularly encouraging

Very strange cartoon. The soldiers are fleeing somewhere, although their vehicles are driving behind. And they flee for a long time, they ran from the city right up to the forest. In the knapsack, as I understand it, there is nothing else besides an external battery? Where is the BC, where are the PT weapons, where is everything that a normal soldier takes with him to war? One store is enough for half a minute of intense combat, then how, in a bayonet? :) Or do future soldiers have cartridges generated right in the barrel of a weapon? The built-in gas mask is ordinary, filtering, it will not save from the BOV. The camouflage armor is not tough, it will not protect from the armor impact. The exoskeleton is, of course, very good. Until the battery in the backpack runs out. If this happens at the height of the battle, the fighter will be immobilized.
The battle begins, and immediately the turn comes from the enemy to the head fighter. Where is the pathos drone he launched a minute earlier? Why didn’t he find the enemy in advance? Are the batteries dead?
I thought that the cartoons from our MO are boring and ugly. But it’s better to be bored and ugly than stupid and naive.
