According to Gazprom CEO Alexei Miller, the implementation of the Turkish Stream project continues successfully.
The press service of Gazprom also noted that in Turkey, in the area of the village Kiyiky, a receiving terminal is being built.
The construction of the deepwater section of the first line was conducted by the Allseas company Pioneering Spirit, which will continue laying the deepwater part of the second line of the Turkish Stream in the third quarter of the year.
Gazprom commenced construction of the offshore section of the Turkish Stream gas pipeline in May, 2017. The project involves the construction of two lines with a capacity of 15,75 billion cubic meters. The first line, which was planned to be commissioned in March 2018, is intended for the supply of gas to consumers in Turkey. The second branch should be put into operation in 2019 year.
