Ukraine showed "analogue" of the Russian "Terminator"
15
Inspired by Russian developments in the field of armored vehicles, Ukrainians decided to keep up. Ukroboronprom published a video of testing a certain analogue (with a stretch) of the Russian support combat vehicle tanks "Terminator". The shock module, which consists of two automatic 30-mm guns, was called "Doublet".
According to the developers, the Doublet can shoot up to 1000 shells per minute. Its main objectives are light armored vehicles, low-flying aircraft such as helicopters and UAVs, fortified firing points and enemy manpower. In theory, the module can be upgraded with four anti-tank guided missiles, an automatic 30-mm grenade launcher, or two additional 7,62-mm machine guns.
Most likely, the new combat module, if it goes into a series, will not be placed on the base of the BMP-2, but will be transferred to a heavier and better armored platform. Otherwise, the machine will become an easy target, even for heavy sniper rifles.
